- North Macedonia was the 30th country I visited on my round the world tour. From my experience, this county is a land of churches and monasteries which are located in places with wonderful views, making them very special.
Ivan from Skopje looked after me for nearly my whole stay there so this video is also about the start of our friendship.

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.

Of course you can ride your Motorcycle 🏍️ through the main square. This is what I love about Macedonia (Balkans), it is so CHILL! I think we have too many hangups in the West.
What a beautiful life you live, riding a motorcycle around the world and seeing all those places is quit the experience!

Very interesting. What surprisingly young visitors at the monastery. I wish that we had a little better idea of just where it was that we were and what was going on but I suppose that just inspires me to read a little of Macedonia now that my interest is peaked.

Hello Kinga....as i said it many times before...whenever u decide to visit austria and especially my hometown salzburg, u are invited to sleep in our house and i will show you a lot of super places (holy night chapel...mozarts birthhouse...hitlers summer residence ... a real salz mine ...and many other places ... i wish u a nice trip and i hope to see u soon in austria
What a pity you didn't travel further south. There's a Pompeii-like city near Gradsko I visited in 2011 on a trip to WW1 battlefields around Doiran.

Ivan's bike license plates were Bulgarian at the beginning of the video (1:49), and then Macedonian (17:13) at the end.

North Macedonia as the clip correctly states. Macedonia is to the south.
