My First Days in Sudan During the Revolution. Solo Motorcycle Ride. EP 50

- This my first episode is from Sudan. The moment I crossed into Sudan I found myself in the middle of a revolution. The Sudanese people had been protesting against the government for months and as I arrived in the country the army removed the president. The situation became very unstable, people were confused and no one knew what this would lead to. I was aware of the risks, but I decided not to change my plans, I stayed in Sudan for a month so I could experience this beautiful country and witness these amazing times. This episode is from my first few days in Sudan where I experienced my first taste of this incredible culture.

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I'm raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. All the money raised will go directly to helping Franek and his family lead as normal a life as possible so please donate generously: gogetfunding.com/arewethereyet/
VIDEO RECORDING DATE: MARCH 2019

You and "Itchy Boots" inspire us to ride adventure and deal with the local flavor.
@@user-pz5yx4pb3e Whatever your name is - they are both courageous women and smart, talented, industrious in their own way. Why you disparage Itchy Boots is likely more of a commentary of your insecurity than of her ability to chronicle her journey.
Sudanese here, you are so positive, and respectful no wonder everyone is happy to help out make your stay as nice as possible!
It’s a pleasure seeing you in my country Sudan 🇸🇩 and you are all welcome anytime, you will be all welcomed in a respectable , friendly and pleasant way 1 ♥️ .

I am from Sudan 🇸🇩, moved to Australia just February 2019, I do engineering, live in a midway between Sydney and Canberra .
What she filmed is really true, Sudanese are mostly peaceful and friendly, a nation went through a tough 30 years of a dictator ( who now in prison after peaceful demonstration toppled him)...
Sudan is very spacious, different in languages , culture s, just like any African country.
I am impressed by this Sheila who had a such an adventure even I hadn't done in my country.. thank you mate.
I'll admit it surprised me how friendly they were.
But what about the gangs here now? They don't care and do assaults and steal.
Did Australia end up with all the scumbags?
@@johnrogers5825 every race has them. Just need to handle them .
@@johnrogers5825 I am sure I spotted a scumbag.

The henna that the Sudanese women placed on the souls of your feet actually decreases your head and body temperature, and can be put on your head and hair as well. When you're near The Nile, light up some fallen tree branches and create smoke to repel the insects from coming near you. I hope you have a great trip there and enjoy your time!
Be safe now. I was through that area in 2005 and it dose not look like it has changed.
Safe rides Kinga.
