    Thanks for the video!
    Didn't you placed the left crank too further out of the axle? Shouldn't be closer?
    Did you notice any noise or problems since the build?

    What is the purpose of the plastic clip?

    • @JoeyMesa
      @JoeyMesa  2 месяца назад +1

      To hold the crank arm on if the bolts are loose.

    Hi, can you help, please. I've fitted my Shimano we're crank arm. Got the Allen bolts fitted. How do I push down the plastic retaining pin without the exact tools? I've fitted these before today but always find it a bit of a pain. I had to buy another BB because it was loose and my bearings got damaged. If I tighten the little plastic retaining clip properly it will be fine. Thank you.

    Where do you get the compression screw thing to get the cap off?

      This is the one Park Tool makes that I used in the video, but there are less expensive options though... amzn.to/4bcoZHX

    Ihave a shimano m5100 deore crankset, do i need to tighten the preload cap hard or just a bit?

    • @JoeyMesa
      @JoeyMesa  3 месяца назад +1

      Just tight enough pull everything together. If you go too tight, it side loads the bearings causing premature bearing wear and excess drag as the cranks won’t turn as freely as they should.

    should use a torque wrench imo

    • @JoeyMesa
      @JoeyMesa  5 лет назад +3

      Yes, you're correct. You should definitely use a torque wrench, especially if you're not familier with what 10-14Nm feels like. The pre load cap is .7-1.5 Nm as well. Thanks for pointing that out!

    hi,i am in process of installing these.relatively simple but im confused with the spacer issue.my bb is 68mm and it said use 2 spacer on drive side and 1 on non drive side but my chain line is way over 50mm.How much of the spindle should be showing on the crank in the non drive side.should it be flush with the crankset when the crank arm is on.

      No spacers for road bike installation, just MTB

      @@XBKLYN it's not a road bike I have, sorted it anyway.
