My heart goes out to Ezri's mom because of the pediatrician dismissing the concerns about Ezra. Valuable time was lost. That part is so heartbreaking. I have had problems with not being taken seriously by doctors as well, and receiving incorrect diagnoses leading to inappropriate treatments and medications which further increased the severity of my problems rather than improving my condition. It is lovely to see Ezri with his sisters and to hear his father speak about Ezrais affinitty for Jewish religeous services. Yom Kippur is challenging for anyone to sit for 6 hours. Even if you go with the simplistic notion that God is love, it's easy to see Ezri's connection to love in his family and so spiritually encouraging to hear that he recognizes that love in the practices of Judaism.
i was ignored for a while about my concerns about having adhd, which resulted in me not getting diagnosed til i was 16, and then being diagnosed with high functioning autism this year (19). explained a lot.

I've seen this thread throughout several of the videos on this channel where a sister, generally an older sister, already knows without a doubt that her disabled sibling is going to be part of her household as an adult. I'm so moved by the sentiment and certainty they possess, and of course, the love, adoration, and care they bestow on their sibling.
yup its so sweet and cute. this comment specifically reminded me of April and her sister Rachel who said the same thing. would love to see /know where they're at rn
Every time I have a fight with my boyfriend my older sister will tell me "Sis. The doors always open. Forever. No matter what. Amd no matter how long. I'd love you to be here" My sister is the best sister in the history of sisters.
Yes! I have 2 autistic sons and my 4 other children know that when their dad and I for whatever reason can’t take care of them anymore, they will most definitely welcome them into them into their homes. We don’t know who is going to take who yet because they are all still young but they know what to do when it’s time!
Seeing a disabled person and a Jewish family is so lovely to me. I am personally Jewish, raised that way and practicing now, and seeing this family and their love for their son and brother as well as their love for their religion is lovely to me. This was a heartwarming interview and I adore Ezri. They all seem so lovely to be around. Judaism is a loving and caring religion and seeing it being practiced in this way makes my heart warm with the love of my community and my religion.
I like how he gets excited being bossy, not because someone does what he says but because they listened and understood, especially with a stranger. He's definitely blessed to have such a loving family, and I'd say the way they feel, they're blessed to have him.
Ezri has a VERY infectious smile... I found myself unconsciously smiling whenever he did. Thank you to the whole family for letting us into your home and hearts to share in this happiness. :)
Ezri is wonderful. Reminds me of our Noah who lived 32 years on this earth. I was so blessed to have been his Momma. His brothers and sisters were like Ezri's sisters. Very close to their brother. When she talked about memorizing his favorite book..we did that too!😄 Such a wonderful family for Ezri❤ He is well loved.
I feel bad that, Ezri went through so much as an infant, poor baby. How upset his parents must have been, to see they're baby son so sick. God bless this sweet young man, with the best smile, and his loving and nurturing, family. Thanks for sharing Chris. 👍😎❤️😇🙏
First of all, this family has huge respect from me. I work as a special instructor for infants and toddlers and see children when they are first diagnosed when possible. I can't help but be angry at the pediatricians that didn't put a newborn into the hospital within the first 24 hours after seeing Ezri. He could have been medically supported sooner and possibly less brain damage could have occurred. Outrageous!! Secondly, Ezri and his siblings were a joy to behold. Many siblings feel put upon for helping out and these 5 sisters showed such an outpouring of love and respect for him. Kol Hakavod!! Thirdly, thank you Chris for showing religious Jews in such a good light. My heart was truly full to see my fellow brothers and sisters shine brightly. Finally, May HaShem bless this family with much Yiddishe nachas from all of their children. The story of Ezri and davening actually brought tears to my eyes. May Moshiach come quickly!!
Ezri is a gift from God !! I was born a-ok. I was in a coma one week later. I had Encephalitis. the sleeping sickness. That was 69 years ago. There i.s alot that flies overl my head. I cannot understand many things but Bless his heart ❤. EZRI HAS BEAUTIFUL EYES!!!
Breaks my heart..I have severe brain injuries No one knows what it's like until it happens to you or your family...you can't go back I'm glad he is happy most of time.
aww that youngest girl with the hair tied back is so sweet, you can tell she really loves her brother just by how she looks at him, they all are such a nice family.
I'm mad that the nurse/doctor didn't take the mom seriously when she called about Ezri not being nursed. I'm surprised they didn't even get alarmed when she said there's blood in his diapers!
A lot of medical professionals are like that. Some of them are way too proud of their knowledge and in bad way wherein they don't listen properly, disregard patients experience, misdiagnose and do not take them seriously. Not all obviously but it's like a pattern that exists in many of them.
This reminds me of what the Lubavitcher Rebbe said, that people with disabilities are not as involved with what's going on in this world because they are busy with G-d in spirituality. (Paraphrasing)
Wow, that gave me chills hearing the family talk about Ezri's spirituality. What an amazing spirit this young man has, he just such a positive, happy, and rambunctious personality that shines so bright.♥️
its like my friend's daughter Becky with autism. she may not be educationally smart but when our pastor would randomly ask a question during his sermon she would always answer correctly
and average americans should learn from this family concerning treating EVERYONE equally. they all say the r word when it comes to people like Ez. it's sickening
as a speech-language pathologist, I can't help but think that Ezri would really benefit from AAC, whether it be a pointing system or an electronic device. I really wonder how much he'd be able to express!
My daughter has an aac and I was thinking the same thing. It would open a whole new world for him especially since he wants to communicate so much and really intentionally just doesn't have the motor skills to speak the words.
I LOVE this beautiful family! I worked with people with developmental disabilities for over 40 years. I have seen every type of family from those who can't accept or cope with the disability, to families that love and support. I agree with the dad when he says, I believe he sees angels. I believe they do too, and spending 40 years in this work, I have seen it over and over again. God-bless you! You are a wonderful family!❤
He definitely is a character😂 his sister trying to act normal while he was shaking the camera took me OUT! I already know he’s chaotic on purpose sometimes and I’m here for it! He’d be so fun to hangout with❤
Its honestly such an honour to witness all this love Ezri is surrounded by. These siblings all seem super cool. I especially enjoyed how Ezri likes to sing, you can see what they say about him having a special connection to spirit.
Whoa, this video was like looking in a black mirror episode with my family 🤯 it was kinda hard to relate with other children growing up because it was hard to explain that your sibling needed more attention and your family life had to adjust outside of the norm to raise them. Religion played a huge part too. We Unfortunately got kicked out of a church or two because my brother was having a tantrum or sensoryoverload but we eventually found a church with server members who were absolute angels. God bless this family and your channel for sharing their story ❤️
I worked with special needs in a church. It didn't take me long to realize, when our Sunday school class was a closet of broken and discarded desks, that the church's goal was not to teach them...but to hide them from mainstream. I went to the copastor and told him it was a disgrace, and they were just as worthy of a regular classroom as everyone else. When I mentioned my suspicions, "So, you don't care what I teach them, you just want me to hide them", his response was, "Basically?...Yes!" They were the only reason I didn't leave that church, then and there. I'm so glad you found a loving church who accepts him as a member of the human race. ❤️ We need more churches who are loving and accepting instead of comparing and judging.
Wow I’m sorry. Your brother deserves love and attention just like everyone else. I know Jesus will accept your brother no matter what. I’m glad you found accepting people. Have a wonderful day and God bless 🤍 “Come to Me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28
He has such beautiful happy blue eyes! Love the relationship his sisters have with him. His oldest sister said she was his primary care giver but I think she means his protector because she was 4 when he was born & able to form that bond they needed. His parents cracked me up when his dad felt the need to clarify when he drinks... I don't think any of us thought his mom was referring to alcohol. Love this family & knowing that he'll forever have someone to love & take care of him if anything were to happen to his parents. I'm not Jewish, I'm Wiccan; I love how spiritual this young man is & how he is calmed in any synagogue by angels he may see or even by God. No matter the difference in our spiritual beliefs I pray that he & his family always be blessed by both their God & my Goddess. Blessed be beautiful souls
My brother lives with us, he’s profoundly disabled, he’s nonverbal I understand! Thank You for taking such good care of him! It’s really a joy, I feel blessed to have Gregg

Thank you Ezri for absolutely giving Chris the musical chairs treatment, that was fun to watch! And thanks so much to all his gorgeous sisters who all have their own way to interact with their brother.
What an incredible family. Their unwavering love, support and dedication to their brother is just so inspiring and makes me so emotional. Thank you for filming this.
I love this family. But, even more, I wish I could hug every single one of those beautiful sisters. Dear God, the love they each exude for Ezri and the whole family is almost contagious. Thank you for sharing this and that young man is a gem❤
They all seem to have great communication with Ezri in their own individual ways. Teshuva seems to have a gift for observation and communication. Wish there was a little more info on his diagnosis but I understand. Seems like a lovely family. Thanks for sharing🥰
The sisters are such incredible, beautiful girls ! You can tell how much they love, support and protect their brother. How amazing to see the love and communication between them all. I could barely listen to the story the mother told about the discovery of Ezri’s condition. 😭 You can tell how special and amazing he is listening to the story the dad told about Ezri in temple. Such a wonderful, loving family. ❤️
@@teshuvatolchin5938 I see Ezri's sitcom character as the older brother prankster. Like he pulls off an elaborate ruse that works perfectly. All the sisters say "EZRIIII" and he just kinda smiles at the camera as a bass guitar plays a transition.

there's a list somewhere of all the resources girls trying to get an autism diagnosis should use, good luck nora, it may take a while. you actually may find out you don't have ocd and you were just thrown a diagnosis because of the lack of information on autism in girls... though maybe not, who knows
What a lot of fun and laughter this family share - and love, obviously. Thank you, Ezri and your loving sisters and parents, and Chris, of course, for telling us about your life and your values. Ezri, you have the most wonderful smile! Interesting to hear how spiritual Ezri is.
I kinda love that she used the word trapped. My boyfriends son is 6, and can't walk or talk, and I always explain his behavioral issues come from the fact that he feels trapped. He can't express himself and that's frustrating. So when he swings, it's not that he wants to hurt someone, he just wants to get his point across, and his siblings ignore him so much sometimes, that he resorts to hitting to get attention, even if it's negative. I just hope the other kids grow up and can be more apart of helping him, because a lot of the time, he gets frustrated because he just wants to do what his siblings are doing. These videos really have helped me become a better parent to my two special needs kids, and I can't thank you enough for giving these people a voice.
Lmao I love the youngest, she's so funny. She reminds me of me. I also try not to give in and let my youngest get whatever he wants. He can destroy something within a second, so there's things he's not allowed to play with, and it upsets him, but he has gotten so much better at accepting no as an answer. He knows that I will give him whatever he wants that's his, but he can't have his siblings tablets or certain toys like Legos, and of course, those are the things he wants most lmao. But it's really good to give him some limits because he is learning to accept no and find something else.
The Dad's (I'm sorry, I never caught his name) body language indicates to me that he has a really good sense of humor and they are all so charismatic, especially Ezri.
Beautiful video! So special to see a religious Jewish family featured here. And the stories about how he can't speak English but can say things like Shabbat Shalom and loves sitting by the chazzan in shul are just wow. What a beautiful soul. Every person is truly made be'tzelem elokim. ♡
I really enjoyed watching this family and the way each sister bonds with Ezri! I know that eye speak communication devices really help people that are not verbal just by watching this channel. This family is amazing! Loved watching this video and what the family shared about him sitting quietly in their religious service watching angels. So beautiful. 😭😭😭❤️🙏🏽
When my son was little he had delays due to being a preemie and issues at birth. He would get so frustrated when we couldn't figure out what he wanted. It was so heartbreaking as a parent to not know what I needed to do to keep my baby content. He caught up as he got older, thankfully. I can't imagine the lifelong struggle for Ezri. I am glad he has a great support system.

I've seen this thread throughout several of the videos on this channel where a sister, generally an older sister, already knows without a doubt that her disabled sibling is going to be part of her household as an adult. I'm so moved by the sentiment and certainty they possess, and of course, the love, adoration, and care they bestow on their sibling.
very true. i intend to do the same for my youngest sister who is severely disabled
yup its so sweet and cute. this comment specifically reminded me of April and her sister Rachel who said the same thing. would love to see /know where they're at rn
Agreed! I am in recovery for an ED and PTSD. Anywho it's super hard for me to express how I feel.
Every time I have a fight with my boyfriend my older sister will tell me "Sis. The doors always open. Forever. No matter what. Amd no matter how long. I'd love you to be here"
My sister is the best sister in the history of sisters.
Evil parasites.
Ezri seems like so much fun! And he's definitely got an amazing set of sisters to accompany him along for his journey!
Beautiful family! Sweet sisters with very different personalities, all with their special relationships with their brother!
YUP
When she talked about memorizing his favorite book..we did that too!😄
Such a wonderful family for Ezri❤ He is well loved.
I feel bad that, Ezri went through so much as an infant, poor baby. How upset his parents must have been, to see they're baby son so
sick.
May Moshiach come quickly!!
thank you so much! your comment means so much to me and my family. -teshuva (ezris short haired sister)

Breaks my heart..I have severe brain injuries
No one knows what it's like until it happens to you or your family...you can't go back
I'm glad he is happy most of time.
Is he concious? Like does he know he exists? Iam confused.
aww that youngest girl with the hair tied back is so sweet, you can tell she really loves her brother just by how she looks at him, they all are such a nice family.
Ya...they had him circumcised by the rabbi ....not at the hospital....they have a dirty little secret
I’m so entranced by Erzi’s aura. This young man has a really comforting energy!

He is WONDERFUL and those are INCREDIBLE sisters. I love this family. ❤️
Beautiful family! The stories about Ezri speaking Yiddish and sitting quietly thru Yom Kippur is on another level!
SLP here too, literally just scrolled down to comment this!
My daughter has an aac and I was thinking the same thing. It would open a whole new world for him especially since he wants to communicate so much and really intentionally just doesn't have the motor skills to speak the words.
Yess
The way the dad talks about his son, I wish everyone could know understanding from a man like that.
What a cheerful guy Ezra is. I’m sure having such lovely sisters and parents must be great!
*Ezri
If only every family could feel the love and support of such a family
Yes it must be
@@DrDestructoBlade "Ezri" is just the diminutive form of "Ezra", a popular boy's name. It means "help" in Hebrew.
He’d be so fun to hangout with❤
He’s mischievous!! That had me cracking up, too!
They are so patient, kind and loving sisters.
When the youngest sister started telling the story and he started getting really excited, I legit cried oh my gosh it was so adorable!
We need more churches who are loving and accepting instead of comparing and judging.
Wow I’m sorry. Your brother deserves love and attention just like everyone else. I know Jesus will accept your brother no matter what. I’m glad you found accepting people. Have a wonderful day and God bless 🤍
“Come to Me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”
Matthew 11:28
The love his sisters have for him is amazing. He has wonderful parents and its easy to see why he's such a ray of light. I wish this family lots of blessings and good health 💙
Thank you Ezri for absolutely giving Chris the musical chairs treatment, that was fun to watch! And thanks so much to all his gorgeous sisters who all have their own way to interact with their brother.

They all seem to have great communication with Ezri in their own individual ways. Teshuva seems to have a gift for observation and communication. Wish there was a little more info on his diagnosis but I understand. Seems like a lovely family. Thanks for sharing🥰
awww thank you for ur kind words
The sisters are such incredible, beautiful girls ! You can tell how much they love, support and protect their brother. How amazing to see the love and communication between them all. I could barely listen to the story the mother told about the discovery of Ezri’s condition. 😭 You can tell how special and amazing he is listening to the story the dad told about Ezri in temple. Such a wonderful, loving family. ❤️
The father is amazing. I love how he responds to Chris asking if it's frustrating when they struggle to understand their son's vocalizations.
He's lucky to have nice sisters that will take care of him🥰

So sweet! I have epilepsy, OCD, Anxiety, eye problems and I am getting tested for autism. Thanks for letting kids like me get on your show! I’m so thankful
there's a list somewhere of all the resources girls trying to get an autism diagnosis should use, good luck nora, it may take a while. you actually may find out you don't have ocd and you were just thrown a diagnosis because of the lack of information on autism in girls... though maybe not, who knows
I have anxiety, ADHD, tics, and autism.
I just felt like I relate to you when I read your comment. Good luck with everything ☺️

Ezri is such a beautiful name! The entire family is so pretty and they all seem so kind, smart and loving. ☺️

I really enjoyed watching this family and the way each sister bonds with Ezri! I know that eye speak communication devices really help people that are not verbal just by watching this channel. This family is amazing! Loved watching this video and what the family shared about him sitting quietly in their religious service watching angels. So beautiful. 😭😭😭❤️🙏🏽
The younger sister is so adorable, she’s such a beautiful soul. I wish her the best in life. I love when she sings songs to her brother.
Ezri is a sweetheart. His sisters are so sweet & lovely.
