Three Dogs & Two Sulkies

Three dogs pull two sulkies and their drivers down the driveway onto the road and finally to the destination. The dogs trot happily on a cold day in Georgia. One dog pulls Daphne. Two dogs pull Stephen.

These are suspension sulkies. Simple sulkies would have done well also.

They must cunectar a tricycle with pedals to the dogs to help them pedaling and in passing we exercise

What is the break system on the sulkies? Also, does the pole connecting the dog to the cart keep the cart from crashing into the dog when it stops?

The brakes are bicycle brakes. The newer Chalo Sulkies have disc brakes. This is probably a sulky with caliper brakes. You are correct the pole (called a forward shaft) keeps the sulky form crashing into the dog when it stops.

4.25 is FAR too heavy for one dog.

I can't tell you how to make this. The man in this video makes them for me at my shop for Chalo Sulky. www.chalosulky.com If you use side shafts and the rear of a tricycle and add a seat, you can make a fine sulky.
