When your barrels start colliding with docks and other stuff, they will cave and breach. High expanding marine foam will give u a lifetime boat. Made a house boat with 50 of them. Seen a house boat sink from empty exposed barrels. Good luck
Seal the barrels in cold weather to prevent collapse with warm weather. I did not fasten my barrels as I never take it out. WI DNR ticketed me for having a trolling motor on our raft. But we are going to trial.
If you're fortunate enough to live within driving distance of a dairy you can usually get as many as you want for free. They get all kinds of chemicals in plastic barrels like iodine for teat dip which is used for antiseptic to clean the teats before they put the milkers on and also for treating abscesses on legs and whatnot. Dairy farms are usually trying their level best to keep their farm from being swamped in plastic drums.
@@ShoreGarage Ya, I'd definitely call around. I know of a dairy a few miles from my place that has a wall of drums at the back of his free stall barn as tall and wide as the barn and probably ten barrels deep. I'd say there's a few hundred at that farm.
Should be able to upgrade your video. I'm suggesting you that the working part should be more than verbally video. The viewers are more understanding by looking the stage by stage of your works. I'm so sorry for the inquiry Please bet my pardon. Good luck forever.
As Jeff Thompson correctly notes, the wood you bought is sized for 8' wall framing. These should not be called 8'. There is a correct name in the carpentry trade. They are called studs. Unless you plan on framing some 8' wall somewhere? Take them back. You bought incorrectly labelled merch.
Looking great man. Can't wait to see it complete and on the water. Looks like a ton of fun!
Thank you! Can’t wait to get it out on the lake!
Looking for steering design
Super beau travail. Merci beaucoup 👍👍👍

Wow that’s actually great to know! Do you have any brands that you recommend? And also where can I purchase it?
My grandfather actually hangs old boat seat over barrels. To prevent that. But i have the regular boat buoys.
Yea it's Hella expensive!!

Yes I will def do that this winter when it gets colder. And wow! I had no idea they could ticket us. I will have to get my hull numbered

The cool pieces of hardware are called cleats. Just so you know
I wonder if you filled the diverters with foam
Hay !! Thank you
Great mantapp
Soon if i return to my province i create like this boat
You should! It is loads of fun!!!!
Do u have blue print or something with measurements
How much weight will one barrel hold out of the water?
Can’t wait to see it done! How much has it cost you so far?
So far I am about $500.00 into it. The price of lumber is super high right now so that’s why it’s that much. 2 years ago i would have been in $200.00
saya juga sudah membuatnya
Thanks for the vid! Where can I get the barrels from?
Try Facebook market place!

@@twistedpixel2558 wow I didn’t know that! I actually do have dairy farmers not far from me here in the southern part of New Jersey.

Do you have to get it registered??
Not yet there a few more safety things I need to add to it in order to pass safety here in New Jersey
DID SOMEONE SAY TACOS? I will never say no to a taco 🌮 💛🤎💚🧡
Their precut studs 92-1/2". When you add your bottom plate and two top plates you'll come out to 8'
Lol does he look like he's building walls 😂
Thanks my carpenter buddy and i was thinking the same thing
How much weight will that hold?
I am entirely sure. But It holds a lot!
Asuming they are 200l barels and he has 8 total it can hold 1600kg, but u dont want those things to be completely under water so probably like 1000KG

Yes you are right I did. But all is well, I ended up making it work!
IT WASN'T LOWES MISTAKE... YOU PURCHASED PRECUT WALL STUDS INSTEAD OF 8 FT. 2X4 'S . .. HONEST MISTAKE
You shouldn't see my boat
Devil worship noise
relax with the 🎶 wtf?
Rock an roll!
a genuine contender for worst (mismatch) soundtrack on YT in 23.. it’s not a supersonic jet boat.. so chill 🎶
Music is awful, it makes it hard to watch this.
Very annoying music.
Wanted to watch but the irritating rock and roll ruined it. Why can't you just make a video in a normal way.
All you have do is mute the video 🤷🏽♂️
