@@seventh-hydra its more to do with the amount of aero the F1 cars have and how much dirty air they produce, the F2 cars are only like 50cm or so shorter than the F1 cars. And the overheating of the engines which mean they have to keep dropping back, is the main problem at Monaco.
@@maxb148 Yeah with F2 it's definitely the simplified aero which helps. Thankfully were getting that next year. But being shorter, even by just a bit, helps a lot too. Though the FE cars are about a meter shorter and the race was even more nuts than F2

F1 cars would still absolutely thrash nascars on ANY street circuit. They have wayyyy more cornering speed and faster acceleration. The downforce is also there especially on a slower track like Monaco.

@@brapa1190 the field for a NASCAR Cup Series race is a maximum of 40 cars (it used to be 43 but they shrunk the field by 3 to "improve the quality" and get rid of Start and Parks (which is when a car starts the race, only to run a couple laps then pull into the garage and retire to get the prize money)). I'm just surprised that a NASCAR Cup Series stock car could get around Monaco... maybe the FIA should take notes
