The Sabbath: Antidote For Legalism // Zac Page

Your salvation is accomplished! Jesus said, "It is finished" on Friday afternoon and then He rested in the tomb on the Sabbath. The 7th day Sabbath is a memorial of God's FINISHED work of creation AND salvation. You can accomplish just as much of your salvation as you accomplished of your creation.
Sometimes keeping the Sabbath is seen as legalism. But it actually is the antithesis of legalism. The 7th day Sabbath is a 24 hour time period to stop all of our efforts to provide for ourselves and to rest in God's finished work for us. Properly understood, the Sabbath is actually an antidote for legalism.
