    I been working out for about 2 years now and I have really enjoyed it and in those 2 years I have suffered a broken toe from a work related accident which pushed my training back by 8 to 12 weeks and than had covid and for the longest time before working out a suffered from slight pain in my left shoulder. In the last few months the pain has been a constant pain in the front of my shoulder. As an infant I had life saving heart surgery and they went through my back under my left shoulder blad which I think is what's causing the issue now in my shoulder. Since working out my chest and upper body has grown stronger and about the same time as the pain started in my shoulder a clicking or grinding feeling started as well. A recent doctor visit with x rays shown my left bicep muscle I'd heavily stressed and pulling my upper arm forward and the grinding feeling and pain is coming from that. I wonder could the surgery have affected my left back muscle making it weaker? And from the the chest workouts be make my left side pull forward more because of the surgery

    Interesting concept of cluster sets. But I don't get the idea of simulating muscles when they are not fatigued in two reps?
    If you can do 5 and get fatigued from the first set, why then doing 2 for many sets but not get fatigued on the first 3-4 sets at all?

    • @CarneGranada
      @CarneGranada 6 месяцев назад +1

      Personally, I opt to do a cable row or even a t-bar row over a bent over row. I don't think there is anything particularly special about it. It's not worth the extra fatigue on the lower back for me.

    • @patrickjulius7352
      @patrickjulius7352 6 месяцев назад

      @@CarneGranada that’s what I lean towards however I workout at home so no access to cables and machines. Think incline db rows, one arm db rows, meadows rows, and weighted inverted rows are sufficient for horizontal pulls over barbell rows?

    • @CarneGranada
      @CarneGranada 6 месяцев назад

      @patrickjulius7352 I actually think all of those are fantastic horizontal pull variations if you're looking to avoid lower back fatigue. Look into helms row too! It's like a poor mans t-bar row!

  • @RDS_Armwrestling
    @RDS_Armwrestling 6 месяцев назад

    I feel like if your legs are always fatigued, and even your stretching is fatiguing, you may want to reconsider some parts of your leg training, cos stretching shouldn't be that fatiguing, surely? Should be recuperative, relaxing, at least. Nice workout though, similar to my own back workout.

    • @coacheugeneteo
      @coacheugeneteo  6 месяцев назад +1

      I totally agree. I need to do more work on adjusting my leg workouts, strethcing and running accordingly.
      But, stretching CAN be extremely fatiguing when done right, specifically to increase flexibility. It'll create a ton of muscle damage and can even induce hypertrophy.
      Stretching can also be used as a recovery/relaxation method, but that's not the style of stretching I'm doing.

    • @RDS_Armwrestling
      @RDS_Armwrestling 6 месяцев назад

      @coacheugeneteo I understand that, I do stretch for relaxation as well as to maintain/improve mobility, and sure it can be uncomfortable but I stretch before bed as part of my winding down routine, so I never intentionally stretch hard etc in case it excites the nervous system as opposed to relaxing it. I know full well the difficulties of trying to be fit/strong/healthy in more ways than one - I train for armwrestling, but also train full body including legs etc because that's how I first started training, for size and strength etc, but armwrestling is SO forearm specific and my full body training takes away from armwrestling recovery, so at this rate I'll never be the best armwrestler I can be unless I quit training everything except armwrestling, which would be catastrophic for my current size and strength everywhere else on my body lol.

    These micro sets pull ups do not work if you are looking to reach high max reps in a single set, if anything it only made my max lower (after one month of only doing these, 3 times a week ~60 reps, ~30 sets X 2 reps, 40-60 sec rest between sets) and I lost ~25% of my max reps. It does however help you reach high volume with very little rest pretty much endlessly because you never reach anywhere near failure per set.
    Now days I only do these micro sets as a warmup, usually 5 sets of 2 reps (20 sec rest), or 10 sets of 1 rep (10 sec rest), no dismount from the bar (constant hang).

      That's not surprising - you're training two completely different ends of the strength-endurance spectrum. Although I wouldn't be recommending people do it the way you've set it up regarldess - the total reps and rest periods used aren't really hitting any sweet spot

    • @Noiconnotag
      @Noiconnotag 6 месяцев назад

      Well, if I do it like you are doing them in this video, that just a nice warmup, the only way I felt anything was after ~30 sets X2 reps, and I could go on. I have seen Dr Stuart McGill instructing strength athletes in this manner of just 10 micro sets x1-2 reps, no additional weight only body weight, I gave it a shot for 2 weeks, saw no improvement, switched to my way, still no improvement, so now I only use it as a warmup.
