Eddie and vic rattlehead are the metal mascots that I think are the most well known and they have had the most evolution, Eddie especially, bc they have many kickass versions of him that they didn't use for albums and just put on shirts, and every one already knows they have some of the coolest covers for metal albums

I agree!!! When I saw them the book of souls designed Eddie ripped out his big ass heart and threw it at the audience and won guy caught it and I'm pretty sure it was the best moment of his life

@@joeysousa310 When I saw them on the Book of Souls tour, it was Bruce who ripped Eddie's heart out of his chest. And then Bruce squeezed the blood out of Eddie's heart and threw it to the audience. This is where the story gets funny. Bruce threw it straight at my friend's head, so it bounced off his head and flew somewhere behind him. But that's not the funniest part. Eddie's heart had left a stain of blood on my friend's forehead, so when we went to sleep many hours later, he woke up with Eddie's blood staining his pillow. 🤣🤣🤣

Iron Maiden always made sure that whoever was at the show- whether it was someone in the front row, someone way off to the side, or someone in the highest section up against the back wall- Maiden made it a point to make sure that every person there would never forget the show. They would go home and talk about it for a friggen month. If you were to ask somebody how the Iron Maiden concert was, their answer would never be, "It was okay."
I only saw them twice. Once off to the side, and once dead center in the 2nd row. Both shows blew me away.
Still have the tour shirts and the $16.00 ticket stubs.

Absolutely agree with you! Somewhere in Time Eddie is DEFINITELY the BEST!!! And the whole album cover is the most awesome cover I've EVER seen!!! Somewhere in Time is also my 3rd favorite Maiden album after Number of the Beast and Powerslave! Up the Irons!!! ⚒🤘🤘
That Final Frontier design was so badass. And in my opinion, it's actually one of their best albums.
I really love the powerslave, ssoass, final frontier and book of souls designs even though powerslave somewhere in time and book of siuls were my favorite albums
I feel that every album they have released since Brave New World is better than the previous ones

Yeah. There's video on RUclips of the Somewhere in Time show that shows futuristic Eddie Firing his laser gun. I wanted to see that show, but I was too young. My Dad let my Uncle John take me to the Seventh Son show a few years later.
My older rocker friend told me when he was a teen he followed Maiden around California and while on shrooms when Eddie came out it scared the living shit out of him.

I've seen most of these live. I always thought the giant mummy Eddie from the Powerslave tour was the coolest one. The one that popped out above Nicko. The tank commander Eddie from the Matter of Life and Death tour was cool too.

The giant devil Eddie rising behind the stage on the last tour was pretty awesome; so was the behind-the-stage Eddie from the first Iron Maiden show I saw back in 1990. It was a giant casket that rose behind the drum kit and the lid broke open to reveal Eddie rising from the grave! It was kind of cartoony, but awesome!

When I saw maiden back in April 2016 for the book of souls tour, during the song called a the book of souls, the Eddie that was themed and detailed for that album (look at the album cover and the location and vibe of the imaging is set in like Aztec times) he ripped out his heart which was the size of a chair and threw it at the audience it was badass
Eddie's heart hit my friend in the forehead, when Bruce ripped Eddie's heart right out of Eddie's chest, before he threw it out into the audience. 🤣🤣🤣

You left out the eddie from the world slavery tour where he emerges from a sarcophagus! The world-slavery tour and the cyborg eddie from the somewhere in time album were the best ones.. on the tour supporting the somewhere in time album, the gun fired pyrotechnics out of it, Bruce also had a gun firing pyro's out of it onstage. Quite a sight!

An eddy is a swirling vortex which can occur in air flow and is often a problem since they develop at the tip of the wing and reduce lift. Hence why some aircrafts have a raised tip at the end.
This is there in order to get rid of the Eddys there, and increase lift.
