To eliminate the double audio next time One thing you can do is just pair a set of Bluetooth earbuds to the PC that way you can monitor the audio in real time and it eliminates that echo that would be picked up by the microphone. It also bypasses listening through what's being recorded through OBS or anything along those lines which may add some lag or delay to it. That's what I do when I capture, I pair my raycons to my Samsung monitor and I listen to the audio through that

If you're not going to do a custom build, I could see the appeal for a mini PC for gaming. I just have my doubts about how far you could take it beyond emulators and games up to 2010.

Maybe not on this one, but on some of the more powerful ones, you can play new games on lower settings 1080p or 720p. You can also play them on 4K, but your fps will drop low. If you're serious about gaming and want a small footprint, you can always get an external graphics card and hook it up to this

I went with a GEEKOM IT12. Pretty happy.
After I bought it, of course I saw the Minisforum UM790 Pro which offers a fast AMD processor... with actual AMD Radeon 780M graphics (supposedly gets you close to NVIDIA GTX1650 level, which is better than built in Intel options in these size systems) for about the same price. Depending on the Steam games you want to play, you'd probably get better graphics.
Next upgrade, I will be more discerning and get something w/ best built in GPU option available.

My 3 cents: Firstly, I'm a linux enthusiast. Nothing brings me more joy that taking a new or old computer; laptop, desktop, mini pc, and wiping winblows out and in about 15 minutes, putting a robust, non telemetry, open source o/s on. I just purchased one of the new GMK tec g3. Installation went good except for a few things. No sound thru hdmi, and no wireless. They wanted me to download drivers thru their chinese website, so basically, it's being sent back. For all of you who choose to purchase this brand, please be advised. It is preinstalled with a modified version of win. 11. Buyer beware, not for me, thank you....

I too bought a g3. My luck was better than yours, I installed debian12. No bluetooth, solved with firmware-realtek. Now it's an awesome NAS. I always got sound.

OBS is fairly light and I haven’t had too many problems gaming and streaming at the same time. I’m using an old 2015 laptop and mostly only play old console game on emulators. Generally if a game won’t run well with OBS running it won’t run well at all either way. I’ve only run into a few arcade games that are right on the edge where they are fairly playable until OBS is running. If you’re seeing that problem consistently, it maybe some other issue in your setup.
