How Joe Budden Destroyed Drake

  • Drake and Joe Budden are at each other’s throats and it’s not the first time.. They started beefing back in 2016 and now, any sign of reconciliation are long gone.
Even though it feels like the whole world is on Aubrey’s case for dropping another by-the-numbers album right now, what is it about Budden’s criticism in particular that seems to have such a profound effect.
This is a FULL timeline of Drake and Joe Budden's beef. I've seen lots of videos cover this topic, but I truly feel I've nailed it like no other...
Also I wanna thank Trap Lore Ross for his video "How Drake Lost the Joe Budden Beef", it helped a lot for the research on this video. You can check out his video here: • How Drake Lost the Joe...

Is a little different. Not many disagreed with Joe about revival and it gave us Kamikaze, but Joe still threw shade on Kamikaze, refusing to acknowledge that it was a better Em album, still hitting at the fact that he can never recreate his Marshall Mathers/ Slim Shady LP magic. That was a little unfair, I mean Nas never managed to recreate Illmatic and Jay Z never managed to recreate the magic of Blueprint. The truth is Em got under his skin with that line about hits and smacking bitches. And Joe got under his skin about the quality of his music not being as good as his early career.
The Drake situation is weird though, Joe takes up free rent in his mind for some reason.

I think it's a little bit deeper than that. It's not that Drake doesn't have respect, it's who he garners respect from. He doesn't have the respect of the youth by being a veteran in the game, his respect comes from emulating the youngsters who should emulate him. He doesn't have the respect of his peers.

Particularly “who killed it” and his outro to the rap game “idol” and how he went in on yachty for not knowing his business.joe really and I mean REALLY cares about the culture of hip hop in the same way that dame dash cares (yelling at def jam Execs for getting artists to were their jackets when it wasent their tour). So he hold artist to that standard which imo seems to be disappearing. So when Joe hears Drake(the biggest “hip hop” artist ) in the game right now. And he thinks he isn’t keeping it hip hop. He’s gonna call him out on that. Which imo Drake isn’t and wasent hip hop to began with so you can’t and shouldn’t hold him to that standard. But to answer the question the reason why I think Drake will forever envy Joe. Is because Joe,Kendrick , Cole, big Krit ect. have something in hip hop that Drake will never have. Which is respect
