This game would actually make 'better media'. They could make a movie about all of it combined with the original game by showing flashbacks into what happened in her past.
This is game is pure imagination perfection. So much creativity. This isn't the mind of Alice. lol, it's the mind of the creators, American McGee and others.
I LOVE both of the games combined! It is a fun, exciting way to experience the whole morral to the story. I don't think they should continue the series, because it'll be bad to 'overdo' 'Alice'. And after Madness Returns she apparently solves all of her mysteries and recovers her lost memories. Hopefully the next version will be a MOVIE!!! :-D

The level design looks like masterpiece. O_o I really like London, which was destroyed in the minds of Alice. I hope the moments like this will be in the game during the passage, not just in the beginning!
For the plot: I think the idea is that the cat causing the fire was a fake memory, and that Alice repressed what really happened. Remembering the fire as an accident lessened the blow of the traumatic experience. In the first game we know she's insane from guilt because she survived the fire, and presumably that was a better option than knowing the truth, so if anything we should have high expectations for what really happened. I can agree the plot seems fudged but I think they can make it work

Then, after a certain lvl, it would become madness, but then you could pick you madness type, something like the things you see...from were your madness comes, it comes from your memories, from the fear of future...This kind of stuff...

Everyone seems to be disappointed in Tim Burton's version of Alice, expecting something darker. Ok PEOPLE lets look at the company that funded the film... DISNEY. In past Tim Burton films when he did NOT partner up with Disney his films were pretty dark right? Honestly I think Tim Burton would have done a darker Alice if he was with another company. DISNEY is like the biggest censorship in the world, they always ruin great film makers dreams =( Poor Tim Burton.
if alice madness returns were a online game it would be totally awesome you can create your character either boy or girl, alot of different missions alot of different types of enemies it will be awesome! XD

No. We see the cat knock the lamp full of oil down and we follow the oil as it makes its way to the fireplace. That causes the fire. I've already had this debate with another person trying to spin the same story, it's bullshit and you know it. What's going on is that they had to come up with SOMETHING as a story line and they essentially ret-conned the entire first games plot.
