I've only just started woodturning I'm 34 years old it's such a lovely fulfilling thing to do to turn wood... I don't think I'll ever be as good as you!! but watching a finished peace like that is so inspirational!!! thank you for sharing!! All the best Adam from the UK
Les regles de l'art en profondeur. Felicitations sir. J'ai une grande admiration pour les gens comme vous et en plus cela procure une belle inspiration.
please show us your method for epoxy resin finish. I've been working more with it and like to see if there's a better way to apply it. thanks for the vids!!!!!
Some lucky person is going to be very happy with their new sink... And the the shot of the pile of shavings burying your shop corner was just too cool :-) Clyde
beautiful! I've never seen a sink made from wood and I'm just blown away how amazing it came out. hopefully you will sell a lot of them and I could see myself buying one or more if I was remodeling my kitchen or bathroom.
Unbelievable! Owwww ... I just stepped on my tongue ... My mouth is hanging open because this is so absolutely gorgeous! My hat goes off to you! The name of your channel "SG Art Turning" is WELL deserved. This is definitely a work of art!
That a beautiful creation! As a real novice myself your wood streams are amazing. Can you talk or highlight a bit about your tool choice and positioning within your videos? It would certainly help with the learning curve ..... Keep turning - you're awesome!
I was wondering about the size and name of the tools you used as well. You have a great talent and it's amazing and beautiful work. Ambrosia is my favorite figure in wood. I hope one day I can look at a rough cut piece of a tree trunk and be able to see where the best figure is as you do. Thank you for sharing on you tube.
That's an amazing video in so many ways, the shavings streaming off, and such a great result in the end. Can't wait to see the epoxy video. Thanks for sharing.
A stunning piece of work. Are you able to anticipate the fascinating figure that is revealed in these different wood species? I appreciate the sound of the tool against the wood rather than inappropriate music. I just subscribed and really look forward to watching all your videos that I have not seen yet.
Your turning skills are master class. The sink is beyond beautiful. However I'd give you 20 thumbs up if I could for that tennis ball trick! That was breath taking. I watched with white knuckles as that bull pressed in and the sink began to spin! Good on you mate!
Very nice looking project. Please wear a face shield and stay out of the danger zone when turning. I like watching your videos and I'd hate to lose you to an injury. I too would like to see a video of the epoxy application. Stunning results from you technique.
As a fellow woodturner who has a small woodturning business I've been watching your videos for awhile now and you have come along way. I like to see others designs etc, and your doing a great job and it shows in your work. I'd be very interested in how you apply your epoxy and what type your using. I've seen the video where you use a rottiseri to slowly turn piece on lathe once applied to cure etc, but courious how you apply yours. You mentioned you'd be making a video soon on how you do that so I would be excited to see your process. Great job and keep making shavings!!!! John Custom woodturnings
If this was green when you turned it, how long did you let the wood dry before applying the epoxy finish? Beautiful sink bowl and you did a good job fixing the bottom so the drain would fit. Thumbs up
You are truly "out there". Man, what a beautiful piece & spaghetti - I love watching spaghetti flying up the walls !! One day I hope to be that good. Kudos to you, I'm subbed from here on. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻 . Regards from the UK 🇬🇧 .
WOW!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!! Is that epoxy you used for the finish?? Just an amazing looking piece! And some epic shaving streams you had coming of that piece! Was it wet and dried in the microwave?
+Michael Zurcher Big thank you Michael. Yes I did 3 coats of epoxy. And yes the wood was wet and it was to big for my microwave so I let it dry by air in my house.
Can I apply to be your apprentice? I'm from Taiwan and I want to learn how to make sinks with wood. I can retire from my job and do business selling works of art just like you do. They are all perfect. Each one is so unique, each one is a masterpiece.
Waow, really? Would you have any problems shipping one to Denmark? I would really love having one at my bathroom but it would have to be somewhat smaller.
inspiring stuff, im trying to work out how to make money $$$ woodworking that doesnt involve building houses. im guessing you wouldnt be able to keep up with demand if every log looked like that
do yoi live near a nascar or f1 circuit? some times i listen some macine noise... the sink is very very beautifoul, i am a briklayer and a never seen a sink made whit wood turnig, and the trik whit the tennis ball is amazing!!! good job my friend!
Very nice and interesting. Could you tell me what kind of epoxy.... or what ever finish it is, also number of coats..... sprayed or brushed.... drying while slow turning? very impressive. Thanks You.
You are truly a fearless turner! Very nice sink, what kind of epoxy do you use? The Ambrosia Maple's figure is Canada's answer to Olive I think. Thanks for sharing!
Stunning piece! However, It broke my heart to see a potential 'inner' boal fly off into the waste bin; a corring jib might have 'saved' it. Still, it's a magnificent bowl.
+Dan Jackson Thank you very much Dan, I'm in Québec Canada. Yes I got a web site but all pieces are sold. I added 4 now 3 day ago. sg-art-turning.com/shop/
