      What has there been a little over 320 no hitters in baseball history ,and in their short life the Jays have been no hit 9 times.When you have been no-hit through 5 you move in and cover the plate,cinch up on the bat and contest every pitch,make the pitcher use up his arm .You stop swinging for the fences.BUNT. Where's the leadership on that embarrassing team?

    I am happy for Ronel. I am Dominican and I do not remember an entire no-hitter game in which both pitcher and catcher were Dominican like in this game (Yainer Díaz is also Dominican). That is so cool. Congrats to the Astros fans!

    Very cool. Ive been rooting for him sice he came on. I saw video of him and Abreu hanging out in the minors and thought how it must feel to se Abreu pitching in the bigs and in the postseason. Good for him. Im no expert, but I really felt like he was lacking a third pitch to get swing and miss. Urquidy needs to add 1 good finishing pitch like this.

      I thought he pitched well last year when he got opportunities.. Could be a real valuable piece in long middle relief or as a spot starter.. Big strong guy, too, meaning he can move around in various roles and handle the work..

      Awww! Dude, we can’t keep holding it over his head. At least he was respectful enough to own up to his mistake and literally apologized to Gallaraga (that’s the correct spelling my friend) in person. Had it been Joe West or Angel Hernandez, Armando would’ve never received an apology. I respect Jim Joyce. He’s human, and humans are errant creatures.

    The moment I had heard that Blanco had pitched a no-hitter I had thought it was against Cleveland, after all, they've been no hit about 5 times over the past 3 seasons, and probably 10 times this century, but then I realized that that couldn't have been right. Cleveland's in Seattle.

      @@theman1412 Obviously. The issue is that while Blanco just threw a no hitter, he's also a 30 year old with a 7+ ERA last year. Hunter Brown will probably be better, but he had a 5+ ERA last year. They have two other guys pushing 30 with 4.5+ ERA's last year. Not having Verlander currently is not a good thing, period.
