there is something so special about RUclips. I would MUCH rather watch long form videos than short few second clips like TikTok. I feel like our societies attention span is getting so short and that is not good. it is dumbing down society more than it already is 😢

Don’t like TikTok. Totally agree about destroying your attention span, I feel my brain melting when I use it. Much prefer long form content, I like to watch it when I’m getting ready. I especially like YT for seeing products properly, like how they actually apply. I like listening to people chat too ☺️

Honestly Tiktok kinda ruined the whole beauty community for me, everyone is just looking for trends, doing the next crazy things which don't really work in real life. I made the mistake of trying to keep up with trends and TikTok and it BURNED ME OUT!! So please keep doing what makes you happy! Also loved the tutorial, defintely need to try that brown mascara🤎

What you say about changing your style to fit the algorithm and trends really resonated with me! I have a jewellery shop and hate the feeling that I'm losing potential reach/costumers by not doing the TikTok and Reel trends that don't feel natural to me or part of my brand.
I do believe sticking to your thing and style is best, because if you don't enjoy it anymore, you'll burn out quickly! I hope that following our guts in this way won't hurt us but rather find us the audience that resonates with us more in the long run!

I much prefer RUclips longer videos vs shorts or TiKTok. I am a teacher and my attention span in constantly having to shift during my work day, so I like to relax and watch longer videos at night. Stay true to yourself and what you believe in! I appreciate it!
I totally agree with you. I will never get bored of long videos. Short videos does not give the relaxing effect and the feeling of like “knowing that person in the video” if you know what i mean… I like your calm, easy going videos, they will never go unpopular for the people like me, and i believe there are so many of us. I don’t have tik tok either for the same reasons. Not a fan of the short form, it feels like it’s all production value and not enough substance. When people have to worry about those things I feel like people can’t be themselves as much.

I never watch TikTok. The more I heard about it the more I’ll stay away. Perhaps it’s my age. Teenagers telling me how fabulous some sponsored product is for 30 seconds will never influence or interest me and what’s with the “dancing “ while showing something. Are people that needy for attention these days? Like I said it could be my age. Anyway you look stunning.
