Thank God she escaped. I think the car approaching them saved her life, otherwise he may have chased her. Sadly, the incident didn’t break TB’s flow, as he continued hunting victims that evening.
But Ms DaRonch's remarkable drive to survive and intelligence was THE key to catching Bundy. The idiots in Colorado allowed at least 3 more unspeakable murders to happen, but Ms DaRonch alerted the Utah police and was able to give them so much help, and then identify Bundy. Many women owe their lives to her. Who knows how many.
Hello! I congratulate the Strength of Carol to fight the monster in the car & courage to run to save her life, to explain everything to the police station
Bless you Carol DaRonch, it’s so good to hear of your escape from that monster. You are an inspiration to us all to fight for yourself and resist being a victim!
She told him just let me die here; probably what saved her. Now seeing all the footage of Bundy's trial we should always be reminded what true evil looks like Bravo Carol for standing tall
I think about Debra Kent, the 17 year old that Ted killed hours after Carol escaped. Ted's mania was so angry that he HAD to be satiated with another 'kill'.
Just found your channel...... I am from Tallahassee..... I am 70 now and remember "Ted" days...... my sis worked with Fla governors office....she made some trips to Raiford or Starke I think I remember.....knew Ken Katsass pretty well...... very interesting times..... thank you for the videos
Ladies, never let yourself be taken by a man. You gotta fight. Even if he has a gun. Your only chance is to fight cause once he gets you in that car you have no chance. He isn't going to let you go. Teach your kids. Carol is alive today because she fought for her life instead of relying on the non existent mercy of a sick man.
I mean, there is a fine line between manipulating the guy and acting that all is ok and then escape in a moment where he doesnt expect, which could work too, like kind of playing along, being his friend, or when you know this isnt going to work out, yeah fight for your life. It depends on the type of man I think.
Good thing he was never able to get a blow in with that crowbar!!! So glad you're still here to tell your story and play a huge hand in his conviction!!
And more people weren't suspicious in the mid-70s. Every last thing was a warning sign. His car, her car untouched, you'd think oh you just watched me leave my car - it's a simple trick. He's in plain clothes. Ask him where the police station is. It's hard to believe now how trusting people were then.

She could identify Bundy as the wanted criminal and allow the police to arrest him in the end..it took time but thanks to her he was arrested even if he sadly killed other ladies .. it was just à matter of time
She is 100% correct. In the 60s and 70s the "advice" was "Don't fight off your attacker, be it mugging or rape, you will just make him mad and he'll hurt. Otherwise he won't." (because rape wasn't considered "hurting" you). Then, when you reported it to the police, they would say: "Why didn't you fight him off?" And if it ever got to court, which was unlikely, the defense would over and over, shout at you: "You made NO attempt to get away, How was he supposed to know you didn't want him to! Most NORMAL women enjoy sex! YOU must have enjoyed it...or are you not normal? " and so on....
Truthfully , though, there is some evidence that fighting back can make it worse..it's very random. Some people have escaped by doing what the attacker wants and gaining their trust.
@@MeadeSkeltonMusic true. It's a flip of the coin tbh. What works with one attacker one day might just get you killed another. Just go with your gut, and hope for the best.
He removed the handle from the inside of the passenger door which made it impossible to open. Maybe he did this after your escape. He was not successful in all his abduction attempts.
