      But Ms DaRonch's remarkable drive to survive and intelligence was THE key to catching Bundy. The idiots in Colorado allowed at least 3 more unspeakable murders to happen, but Ms DaRonch alerted the Utah police and was able to give them so much help, and then identify Bundy.
      Many women owe their lives to her. Who knows how many.

      And more people weren't suspicious in the mid-70s. Every last thing was a warning sign. His car, her car untouched, you'd think oh you just watched me leave my car - it's a simple trick. She is 100% correct. In the 60s and 70s the "advice" was "Don't fight off your attacker, be it mugging or rape, you will just make him mad and he'll hurt. Otherwise he won't." (because rape wasn't considered "hurting" you).
    Then, when you reported it to the police, they would say: "Why didn't you fight him off?"
    And if it ever got to court, which was unlikely, the defense would over and over, shout at you: "You made NO attempt to get away, How was he supposed to know you didn't want him to! Most NORMAL women enjoy sex! YOU must have enjoyed it...or are you not normal? " and so on....

    • @MeadeSkeltonMusic
      @MeadeSkeltonMusic 2 года назад +5

      Truthfully , though, there is some evidence that fighting back can make it worse..it's very random. Some people have escaped by doing what the attacker wants and gaining their trust.

    • @Lord_Thistlewick_Flanders
      @Lord_Thistlewick_Flanders 2 года назад +3

      @@MeadeSkeltonMusic true. It's a flip of the coin tbh. What works with one attacker one day might just get you killed another. Just go with your gut, and hope for the best.

    He removed the handle from the inside of the passenger door which made it impossible to open. Maybe he did this after your escape. He was not successful in all his abduction attempts. Some of the women he targeted were not buying his roses and others he claimed that when they got to the car, he just couldn't go through with it. I think this is where the alcohol came in. Lowered fear factor and inhibition.

    Ted Bundy tried to get me and my Sister to go to bountiful to party with him! It was a rainy night approximately 12:00 pm. My Sister was at work and I had good me to pick her up. She worked at Semiconductor on State street in Murray , I think it was called. I told him, I’d ask my Sister when she came out which was within a minute of Bundy asking me. Thank God my Sister told him No! I reported this to Murray police later when I seen a news broadcast of his trial but I don’t think the police took me serious. My grandma wouldn't talk about that family all the neighbors that lived around there since the 50"s wouldn't speak about him. The kids in the neighborhood called his house the boogymans house. It's been remodeled and on and off the housing market no one really can stay there long. If you go hiking near tiger mountain in Issaquah you get a creepy feeling when someone's watching you.

    also ladies when guys come up to you and say they are police officers ask them their badge # and call in to see if they are who they say they are... back then there was no cell phones but thank God we have them now. I think if carol never would have went in the car with ted he might have not bothered or made a big deal about it where other cops would have came in and he would have not wanted that...

    He had the license plate correct when he went up to her in the mall, so Bundy must have been stalking her. There is so much that's unknown about Bundy's MO, they never got many details on how Bundy selected victims, how much he watched them & how he decided when to strike.

    im glad you fought back and usually your instinct will tell you something is off no matter how someone looks nice or talk to you dont budge in to their tactics... I remember reading crime stories at 13 yrs old going to the library reading about serial killers i believe this saved my life people or family would tell me why do you read about crime stories your going to be one I said i read them because i want to get educated and know their M. O... when I was 13 there was alot of serial killers out there besides ted there was the hillside stranglers, and other murderers... like carol i would have fought him with everything I had like she did props up to you carol now the police knew who to look for the full description of ted bundy I believe God had His hand on you

    As horrible as his entire reign of terror was, there's something about his behavior in Utah that hit me in a jarring way.
    This in particular stands out in terms of just how evil that scoundrel was. He tried abducting Carol, then tried abducting a music/drama teacher, and then murdered Debi Kent all within the space of a few hours. Literally would not accept failure, even though he truly was one in every sense of the word. I have the utmost admiration and respect for Carol not only for surviving but for ultimately kick-starting his downfall.

    It will be great to know if you have interviewed the old couple- God Sent and Good Samaritans in whose vehicle Carol took refuge when the beast was chasing her and trying to kill her with his crowbar. Who were those Angels? Kindly send link to their interview and to let viewers of this channel know whether government acknowledged and gave award to the old couple.

    Thank God we have this important witness so people don’t believe it when a man approaches claiming to be a cop. So we won’t just trust them. Always say well I am going to have to call the police, because you could be like Ted Bundy. So I will call police and have them verify that you are actually a cop. Thank God she fought too.
