  • The 2023 Benelli TNT 302s is a very solid choice for a beginner bike, or even a 2nd or 3rd bike. In the almost 400 miles I've been riding this bike, I've only found one minor issue....

    Best sounding bike in 300cc category and the looks♥

    It's an inline twin at 360 degree crank, which gives it that smooth sound. I think they purposely geared it short so people who test ride it get to notice the sound more on city speeds, being its main selling point.

      You are correct, thank you for the clarification. It’s definitely supposed to be a city bike. That being said I like making vehicles do things they weren’t meant to Lmao

      @@shadetreehotrods It's definitely better for the bike to be around a 2.9 gear ratio like the japanese bikes of its class, so it doesnt vibrate as much on road speeds and have a similar gas milage as its Japanese competitors. Afaik, this one has a ratio of 3.14

    • @shadetreehotrods

      I’m gonna be ordering a sprocket set to lower the gear ratio soon and I’ll be sure to put the current and new ratio numbers into the video!

    This is a parallel twin and not a v twin. It has a 360 degree crank. Benelli engineers do a great job in making their bikes sound good. My 302s is in neon green 🟢 . Just love the bike

    I have the same bike and has replaced the rear sprocket to 41 teeth, Regina branded sprocket & chain. I can go almost 400km to a full tank of RON 95 fuel. My only gripe with this bike is that it's quite heavy & the rear shock is a bit soft even after adjustment. But nevertheless a very solid bike, & reliable too.

      I’ve been waiting on a front sprocket that got put on backorder after I bought it, supposed to be here in September. My speedometer from factory is around 10% higher than my true speed. With that 41 tooth reap sprocket it’s about a 2.93 gear ratio. Where does that put you rpm wise at highway speeds?

    • @Altruistic00
      @Altruistic00 Год назад +2

      @@shadetreehotrods I'd be doing about 62mph at around 7000rpm on 6th gear. The fastest cruise speed I've been on the highway is around 130-140km/h since I do have a 45 litre Givi topbox on the back & a medium sixed aftermarket windscreen, coz I usually ride long distance. With the 41 tooth sprocket, the top speed is a bit dead but much less vibration & engine stress on the highway.

    Thanks for the video on the bike, was just looking at one a while back ago. Didn't decide to get it cause of my right thumb, but I'm doing stretches to try and get my thumb working right. Really like the bike for the price and mpg. I really need to get my hand going right so I can ride again

    That is the advantage of chain drive , for a few bucks you can change gearing . your gas milage will increase . Is it fuel injected or carburated ?

      There has only been one time when the temp got more than 60% of the water temp gauge. I had been riding on the interstate for 1.5 hours in an alabama summer and stopped on an off ramp due to traffic. Had to cut it off because the fans weren’t cooling it fast enough. Besides that haven’t had an issue

    Thanks for the review, lots of good info! Does this bike have ABS? It's hard to tell from the video, it looks like it does not. Also do you know what size sprockets (front, rear) does it come standard with? I am seriously considering buying this bike, and I agree, changing the sprocket ratio is necessary if you want highway speeds at lower RPMs. BUT if at this price point it doesn't come with ABS brakes, that will be a deal-breaker for me. Cheers! 😉👍

    • @shadetreehotrods
      @shadetreehotrods  Год назад +1

      It has an option for ABS as is indicated by the owners manual, but mine does not. As far as sprockets it has a 14 tooth front and a 44 too the rear for a final drive ratio of 3.14
