How to Connect to SQL Server after Installation

This video explains on "How to Connect to SQL Server after Installation"
Applicable for SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012, SQL Server 2014 and SQL Server 2016, SQL Server 2017.
T0 resolve possible connection issues at basic level, ensure the following:
1. Verify and ensure correct server name is provided
2. Go to Run then services.msc then ensure SQL Server service for the respective instance is started.

But in my PC there is no instance name . I mean to say in the services portion after mysql there is no bracket. However the service is running.So, what to do in that case? Please help

This means, you might have installed default instance. In such a case, you will see one entry "MSSQLSERVER" in the services. Pls check.

Hi here is not showing in pc that service.msc

There is no SQL or Microsoft SQL in my services list

Pls install SQL Server. Only then you see the relevant services in the list. You might have installed only SSMS Tool. This SSMS tool do not need any service.
Pls recheck and install SQL Server 2017/2019 or any other version.
