I don't have a smartphone. If I should purchase the guitar would I be able to take advantage of the instrument features?

Yes, of course no problem. A Smartphone is not essentiel. Otherwise you can use a tablet but it’ no essentiel too. Anyway is a GREAT Guitar. It’s my opinion.
