Great ! I was waiting for this Video. Nice Review Andy. I exchanged my Play with a Spruce. My Play had an Line Out Issue, only the left Side had a tone :( Was very dissapointing. And in all the Comparison Videos i saw the Spruce sounded sooo much better. I had to send my Play back anyways because of the Issue i had with it and i got a very good Deal on the Spruce, i think the Spruce is the perfect Mix between both Worlds. Maybe you gonna try it one Day. Greetings Amigo !
have you noticed that when play with effects sounds are different ? I need to adjust my volume in the guitar based on effect for some reason, I use jbl eon compact as speaker
I got the blue lava original I like its acoustic sound sounds so natural and even with effects sounds pretty good do you think switching to the lava play it's worth it ?
I'd like to take advantage of the fact that it's carbon fiber and play outdoors on occasion, but how could I take advantage of all the settings outdoors since I wouldn't have access to the internet there.
you're so nice pal. love your honesty and the way you explain! do you think this Lava guitars are worth it even when it comes to $699 - $1,000 ? not a beginner but i like the idea of the guitar. in the other hand, $1,000 thats a very nice Taylor guitar. what do you think?
@@AndyHillier Appreciate your reply. currently i have a Martin DC-X2E. The Taylor 214ce Plus ($1,399) seems to be a great price for the level of the guitar. While the Spruce Lava is $699 - maybe it have a nice punch that will reduce my craving :)
The 214ce is a great guitar and I would recommend one. The other option is try to find a used 314ce or 414ce. I have a 314ce from around 2001 I bought it new and have used it professionally since then so 23 years. It really is an amazing guitar and well worth the investment.
I actually prefer a guitar to be one of those things where i just have zero interaction with any computers or phones or touchscreens. Nice guitar though

Hi, Sorry i haven't played the Blue Lava so i can't comment.
Thanks Andy
Thanks for your response
It looks like the tuner in it uses a microphone instead of sensing the vibrations. If that's the case, that doesn't seem great.
It senses the vibrations and gives you the quick feedback :)
@@louizteinluk biased source. Jk, I'll take your word for it

Where about do you live? I quick look at guitar center and they have some 314ce for around $1500
@@AndyHillier I live in Los Angeles. is the 314ce much better than the 214ce? worth the used condition?
