As a tween and teen i was always kinda confused at was going on with Yukari storywise on certain ponts. But i think thats because p3 has moments where its written very weirdly. Could be the translation/localization or how its written or both. Like the fuuka line " you see my parents have an inferiority complex" that came out of nowhere that made me laugh.
Anyways as an adult i came to really love Yukari as a character. I came to agree with her in a lot of things. There are still moments that they were just written very weirdly. Like her slapping Mitsuru to snap her out of her funk but it didnt make sense to do it. This is a problem with persona as a whole. They try to force in tropes more specifically anime tropes in places that just dont make sense usually for the sake of comedy. Mitsuru wasnt panicking or acting irrationally these is one of the moments i hope they change.
Also im always confused when people say she was mean to Junpei after he changed went through his character development. But dont remember any of it even watch some's playthrough but never saw it. I did see Junpei being regressed for the sake of comedy tho. But i also come from the camp of being okay with being mean to Junpei at the start which is when she is mean to him. My hatred for him reached its peak after the beach event took a while for me to like him again.

No need to be sorry! I was happy to read your comment (⁀ᗢ⁀) You said it so well! I agree that there are deff parts that were written in a strange way. I also never understood why she slapped Mitsuru, but your point about forcing in tropes makes sense (I hope they change that too haha)! I am really looking forward to playing reload and experiencing her story again as an adult since I’ve grown and matured a lot since my first play through as a tween (◕ᗜ◕✿)
@@kitsch_ly think as a tween as the cool older teens that know a lot more then me or as a teen as people who were cooler then me. But as an adult I see them as lost and lonely children. Mitsuru and Yukari have so many parallels. I always shipped them but I shipped them now even more.

I felt the same as a tween/teen, like Mitsuru, Akihiko, Shinjiro and the old memebers were so cool and badass 😎 but your comment has brought a new perspective... Im gonna watch for that when I play through and see if I feel the same!! I feel like my mindset about the game is gonna change a lot this time around 😂
@@kitsch_ly yeah a lot of them are either orphans or kids with estranged relationships with their parents that used the dorm life to get away from them. Then a good portion of them are dealing with death and grief from the start and others will deal with them as the story goes on. Then you have KEN.
KEN omg KEN. As a tween/teen i did find Ken story sad but as an adult OMG Ken. This suicidal child was gaslit to hell felt completely abandoned and his only reason to live was revenge for his mother's death. His persona being Nemesis. Very protective of him now
@@BARALover96 The characters were really going through it TT .TT I feel really sad and bad for them, that's a lot to go through for someone that age. Like I know they aren't real, but real people the same ages as them really DO go through similar stuff irl TT I'm the same about Ken, protect him at all costs!

Yukari's one of those Katara type characters where when you're younger they can come off as stuck up, bossy and annoying. But she's actually very down to earth when you grow familiar with her. Still FAR from my favourite character personality archetypes, but nowhere near as eye rolling as I'd have put her character types back in the day. Most of her demands are within reason and is just a responsible person if a bit cheeky at times.
I'm surprised you didn't like her though. Mitsuru and Yukari are usually the kind that female fans like. Very feminine, but strong willed with strong personalities to accompany them. Hm, interesting change of pace.
Edit: Also you don't like the Persona MCs in 4 and 5? They're so charming and funny though...
Yea, I feel that, I also didn’t like Katara as a kid, but she is my favorite now! I didn’t like Yukari in the past cause she just seemed too serious, but now I can understand WHY she is the way she is. So, I think she is gonna become one of my favorites this time around (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) My favs were Mitsuru, Fuuka, and Yuko haha but I honestly loved everyone except Yukari when I was young ^^ VERY excited to see Yukari’s story again with a more mature mindset!
I think the MCs from 4 and 5 are alright, but not my favs. I liked the story lines of P4 and P5, but a lot of the characters were just “O.K.” to me. I usually liked the social links that aren't actually in the party, like Yuko and Bebe in P3. Who are your favs from the games? (´◡`)
@@kitsch_ly Yeah after re-watching ATLA I realised I gave her a hard time. My favs are(forgive me I'm bad with names) the glasses girl, sports manager girl and Fuuka. Mitsuru coming close. I'm a fan of girls that are not too feminine or have don't have somewhat intimidating personalities. Grew up rather shy as a kid, so I found tomboys, wallflowers and geeky girls/female characters to be rather approachable and chill. Mitsuru is up there due to my admiration for her boldness, but I find a bit of a wall existing between myself and those characters because of that admiration. Though the social links do help adjust that.
It is okie, Im horrible at remembering names haha 😅 Yuko is the sports manager, my literal fav that wasnt a main character! I really like the social links cause there were some characters I wasnt a big fan of, but ended up loving them after finishing their social links!
Look, I used to be a MASSIVE geek and was the oil to a ladies water, so stuck up girls were my Kryptonite and back then I had ZERO clue why Yukari was hated. . . .

I didn't know there were so many interactable characters in P3 since I stopped playing after Tartarus. Very excited to play this gem!

@@hundvd_7 Yeah.... I couldn't adjust to P3 AI team member gameplay. I heard PORTABLE fixed it but I didn't tried it.
