Sure works. My son hurt himself from golf and weight lifting in March. For three months the pain is so bad he could not even put on the green. We just came back from an very qualified (MD and PHD) acupuncturist and 80 percent of his pain has been relieved. It’s amazing. He was on steroids, 600mg Advil and 1000mg Naproxen , six weeks of PT, and none of these worked! We are going back for more acupuncture in a week. He had 28 needles on arms and legs. It works. It’s been 24 hours of pain for three months and he could not believe he could feel so different in two hours.

I've had terrible lower back pain for almost a year due to osteoarthritis, a bulging disk and deteriorating spine. I'm currently doing physical therapy (for about 3 months) and the pain is going away slowly. I've tried a number of pain meds which make me groggy. An acquaintance in the medical field suggested acupuncture. She recommended a very popular, local Chinese acupuncturist, She gave a glowing report about its efficacy (she went for reasons other than back pain) . Well I just had my appointment and it did absolutely nothing - $200 down the drain! In fact, for a little while I felt like I was wearing a lead suit post treatment. I'm going to try it again with a Chinese medical doctor who incorporates it into his pain management practice and pray that I can get some relief.
UPDATE; Couldn't get an appointment with the 2nd acupuncturist. After some research, I found that turmeric took a lot of the pain away (about 1/2 tsp. in cold water with a little black pepper which helps absorption. Sometimes I add stevia) and also a good quality CBD oil. I also go to a health club do walking around the indoor track, do some of the equipment and classes. It helps too!!

      Did the MD help?

@@resilience4lyfe331 Never went. Not accepting any new patients. Started exercising and taking Vit. D. and K2 and feel better! Although it makes me a little nauseous, I take a capsule of a herbal remedy called Heel-N-Soothe if I really feel bad (from barometric pressure changes for example ) and that takes the edge off. Also, a friend of mine who has pain said that she takes capsules of turmeric and black pepper which is a very good anti-inflammatory and has helped her a lot. I just read about it and will also order some. There are certain kinds of turmeric to buy so do some research if you're interested.

@@Woof728 I really recommend Diclofenac for your pain and inflammation. My dad has gout and extreme pain and inflammation and with one tablet it makes it go away. I’ve tried it myself when I dislocated my knee and it truly works. Hope this helps
