Oh, gee, that takes me back. They used to have Acco tip trucks with that exact motor in them at the asphalt company my father worked at. I don't remember the drivers working them that hard, but then I only ever heard them driving cold out of the yard in the morning.
Everything fits if you move enough metal suspension needs a huge upgrade though. Im 90% through putting one in a leaf sprung gq and had to beef all the leaves and add all around coils the bugger is heavy
That thing is such an antique it's not good for much it would cost you a zillion dollars to make it reliable and sort of able to look at do mm etching fast and dreñppiy
this may sound crazy, but these sum bitches wrap up to 6 grand. I could not believe it until I rode in an old dump truck with one and the damn thing sounded like a big block Chevy revved out.
Yeah, they did sell them in the states. There aren't too many in vehicles over here, though. You'll fine 555s in Versatile 500, 555, and 700 tractors. You can also find them in Allis Chalmers 440 tractors. Cummins also had a bigger V8 that they would put in semi trucks for a while. It was a 903 cubic inch V8. The 555 would be much easier for a swap, though.
@@AsianNIGMA if I remember correctly, they had two 555 engines, one a v6, another v8, smaller Ford trucks had them, sometimes disguised as Ford diesels, and some Michigan/ Hough high lifts, there might have been some Uni/New Idea power units also, but every application seemed to have the same level of performance, J U N K
the Cummins V8 sound aggressive and wild. Cummins forever❤

I'm definitely putting a 555 in my patrol
That’s what I wanna do
Does it fit? I want one for mine

this sounds like a powerstroke
Yo it does! 😭🤣
Gotta love a 555
Most old V8 acco's scream their heads off
The 555 and 903's get a bit loud with no muffler's for me,especialy under load.
Sounds like a friggin 2 stroke Detroit
Awesome sound 👍
se parece un poco creo al cat 3208 10.4l
That sounds like music
That's a 4stroke engine? How many friggin RPMs does it turn!!?

225hp @ 3000rpm
About 3k at the highest lol
Sweet music
Did cummins sell these V8s in the states? It'd make a badass swap.

Yes but don’t be fooled, it’s honestly the worst engine Cummins has ever made

In North America they called them the Cummins triple nickel. 👍 Aka 555
If this is in Tasmania up Stanley way.. I now own that engine haha
These a two stroke diesel?, are they a 12v71 or an actuall acco built motor
This is a 4 stroke motor, just high revs
555 Cummins
In Canada you could get a Dodge LCF with 2 different gas jobs or a 555 [triple nickle] cummins diesel with a whopping 185hp.
beautiful
3.900 rpm
Salvaje el sonido de ese motor
el motor V8 siempre a demostrado tener un sonido agresivo , por naturaleza el motor V8 es agresivo y salvaje
Sound about like 6.0 in a Ford lol
Doesn't tilt too hard does i
Is that wallacedale?
The old Trouble five. Always take a 903 over a 555 had nothing but trouble with em everyone will tell ya who has any brains
😁👍🇳🇿
I'd rather have an 8v71,they didn't call them 90 nuthin for fun
She is just a singing.
