I’d like to see us do what I’ve done with several mock sims ( and these moves are realistic. ) . I’ve traded down to 25-29 area and swapped our second round to move 51 up to 35-42 . Even adding an additional early second round pick by giving up next years 2cond rounder. With 3 picks from 25-51 especially at some combo of C WR T or CB . A lot of great options there that would improve our team drastically . I’d be willing ( and I hope Omar is as well ) to be super aggressive this year , and sell out next years draft even our 1st rounder to get even more picks in the 15- 80 area . this years draft is stacked
Trice is like having a sports car with no wheels.. He broke his ankle in high school, had a high ankle sprain, tore his left ACL in college and tore his ACL last season.. smh
The fact that fans completely disregard his injury history to justify not taking a CB in the draft is hilarious. It’s the entire reason dude dropped to the 7th round. Thinking he can start week 1 after not even making it to a preseason game lets you know how delusional some people are.
I am all for another OT in the 1st round but I do worry that Moore Jr. is still locked 🔒 in at LT. They seem reluctant to move off from him. This was the same case at Center last season. Cole should have sat but didn’t. We’ll see, I hope I am wrong…Thanks for all you do, CC!!
Not locked he is just on a rookie contract and not able to play the right side…he will not be resigned
@@amsey3700i get that but what doesn’t make sense is that they let Cole go first thing after starting him all season. Why are they committed to starting these guys who aren’t the future? If Moore Jr. starts at LT this season they are just doing the same thing, not learning. Just have him as the backup if not resigning him.

btw-steelers have too many late draft picks, can package them in a trade and move up in the 2nd or 3rd
They only have 2 late round picks. 2 rd 6 picks. No 5th or 7th
They could trade down to late 20’s and move their 2 round pick up or just. get an additional 2 round pick by trading our 2 cons or third next year.
Any chance they could pick Barton from Duke as interim Center and also pick a later round, development Center (Linmer, Bortalini, etc.)? Then Barton would move to Guard in 2025 when Daniels leaves in FA and then the development Center starts.
So we’ve talked about the idea of drafting two centers, but not the Barton idea to move him to guard later. That’s an interesting idea!
The question would be: can Barton also start day 1?

I'll say this one more time. A tackle does not snap the ball man! Mims has a small body of work to evaluate, yes, he's big and athletic, I give him that. Mr. Carter it appears to me that you are just too enamored with a tackle.
Remember Green, and more recently Cole, if the team wants to win, they had better get a center who is better than both of those guys. In addition, you have an aging QB and a mostly unproven young QB. You have to do all you can to ensure they are successful.
I see that recently most pundits are saying JPJ's stock is being lowered. Why? He got all the awards over all the other centers out there and if they are going to take a chance on Green. Why not take a chance on JPJ?
In my opinion, why blow smoke up everyone's you know what about the team taking a tackle. If that is what they want, then they had better get the next best center in round two. If not, the two top or three centers in the draft will be gone and if I hear you talk about how the center, they drafted was a bust, I'm going to remind you of the things you said in your comments.
Why look for free agent Center options and not RT where there are going to be at least 2 former all pros and 1 former proboiwl tackle available right now or after the draft. Baktiari is a free agent and Jack conklin is going to be released or traded by the browns post June 1st, he already knows Arthur smith's offense and was a big reason why the Titans and Browns had such a good running game, dude is top 5 in the NFL at run blocking if healthy, his worst season as a starter graded out higher than any rookie OT last season, its a no brainer. No rookie in this draft is better than a healthy Jack Conklin at RT, it really isnt even close.
Would you rather take a chance on a healthy Jack Conklin or a rookie Rt that you have to spend a 1st round pick on next season and make it really hard to fill other needs like center, WR, slot corner because of the risky RT pick first round.
Give me Conklin and a first round center, and you also get better prospects at WR, slot corner or elsewhere in the process, you dont delude the rest of your draft because you went RT first round and have too many needs to fill in the process. RT acquired via free agency or trade not center is what they need to do to contend this season it is clear as day

They can not wait until the third round for a WR, the odds of getting a legit starter that late in the third are below 20 percent, it doesnt matter haw many receivers are in this draft because the position is now a premium and half the teams in the league are looking for a good WR. 46 Wrs have been drafted in the third round the past 10 years in the NFL and 10 of them have become quality starters, thats 20 percent. They have to go WR no later than 2nd round, 40 percent of 2nd round Wrs become quality starters. 15 to 20 Wrs are projected to be drafted in the first 3 rounds, steelers pick towards the end of the third, they cant wait on it, no legit #2 Wr and the season is over before it started. The odds of the 15-20 th receiver in this draft being a legit #2 right away are very slim, those guys are number 3 or 4 receivers at best to start their careers.

If Cooper DeJean or Terrion Arnold fall to 20, that’s your pick. Those are the only CBs worth the pick at 20 since Mitchell will not fall that far and Wiggins is too small and not physical enough.
The Steelers should draft Johnny Wilson at WR, Joe Milton at QB and James William at DB
