I feel like no one talks about the fear of being perceived, nor is it taken seriously. It's not just a feeling of "what if I do something wrong and I look stupid?" it's literally being scared of other people even acknowledging my presence, being scared that other people even know you exist. I cannot exist in the same space as other people because they KNOW I'm there. I'm unable to do any form of tasks if I know someone else is in the room. It doesn't matter how hungry I am, if someone is in the kitchen I won't go get anything to eat until I'm sure they've left and aren't coming back. I have multiple water bottles in my room just to be sure I won't have to be in the kitchen to drink because someone might see me. My palms are starting to sweat while typing this from just thinking about having to be in the same room as someone.

It makes school hell but next year I'm doing mostly online classes for safety reasons with my health. I got my new eyepatch and it sucked and was way too 8ig so I'm still using the sticky ones.
I made some bracelets at pride the other day! I made an ace bracelet, an undertale inspired bracelet, an undertale yellow inspired bracelet and a colorful lil bracelet for my niece with her name on it as an early birthday present. I also got a mushroom bucket hat and a pair of rose tinted cloud glasses with lil raindrops and I love them sm :3

Got to see "Miss Juneteenth" on Juneteenth, and my fam decided to make it an annual tradition! I really liked how they handled Edwin's confession to Charles, and didn't try to make it seem like if someone doesn't reciprocate romantic feelings then they can't be just friends. I see that message was too much and it's nice to get something different. Also when Charles first finds out Edwin likes guys having his first reaction be "I'm glad you told me" followed immediately "that's why you've been so cagey about the cat king istg I'll knock his whiskers off his face" is so good we all need a friend like Charles in our lives

This is kiiiinda long)
So I've got a whole bunch of oc's, but I don't know what story would fit them or if my ideas for the story I have so far are too different to be able to put into one story.
The most important oc here is Jamari (name might be subject to changes as it's kinda hard to find African names for specific countries), a 16 year old black, autistic lesbian, whose special interest is the ocean. She's pretty emotional (as in can be the happiest girl ever one day and angry asf on the next day) and the magical powers she recieves have something to do with water. She's basically been raised in an anti-government resistance group. She's also traumatised.
So the story started out with was : year 2183; in the area that at present is Wenzhou, China; 4 people (including Jamari (later 6 people)) , that suddenly get magical powers and are sent to a magic school. The original idea was that some dark magician had attacked their city and the magic set free directly struck them (kinda like a lightning strike) and permanently altered their bodies so they could now do magic.
It was originally supposed to be some sort of sci-fi dystopian world, where there's only huuuge mega cities and large un inhabited areas due to ww3 and hypercapitalism.
The 4(6) protagonists would then go to the school for a few years, do all that classic fantasy battle stuff, before one enemy arises that wants to conquer the world (because she was excluded) and seems to have a good chance. They fight her, but eventually realise that the biggest problem aren't magical villains but capitalism and the government
And then together with the villain (that turned out to actually not be a bad person)they have a revolution where all the people magic or not are united and everything becomes alright :3
(Problems here:
- I don't know shit about china and don't want to put out some stereotyped bullshit, I mean it is set in the future, but historical sites still exist and obviously the culture and language hasn't vanished)
- probably too many protagonists
- might be tricky to mix sci-fi, dystopia and fantasy
(Especially since I want to have realistic science stuff, painfully realistic dystopia and also a logical magic system)
- I have so many ideas that contradict each other that I feel like I'm loosing the point)
But well then I had two ideas:
1: my most beloved fantasy oc (Jamari ) lives in a pretty happy, solar punk-ish high fantasy world (she still gets her school and stuff, but the enemy isn't capitalism or the government, because both don't exist here)
And my dystopia oc's get their dystopia and revolution but without fantasy elements. And with a lot more chinese characters.
(Og plot had lots of international characters as in ww3 most of Europe+ the US & Canada got nuked, but the amount is unrealistic asf)
+Problems here:
- not sure which characters will fit which story
- still no idea about China
- how do you even write exciting conflict in a solarpunk world ?)

Jamari (+ other oc's)challenge capitalism and government in a fantasy world.
And the oc's I specifically made for dystopian angst, get a depressed post- apocalyptic story (it gets better and they eventually organise in small communities :3)
(Problems here:
- not much plot yet.
- still not sure what characters to put where )
I've also generally been thinking about changing the location of the dystopian/post apocalypse story (wether with fantasy or not) to Europe, because it's kinda hard to write about a region you've never been to without stereotyping and totally simplifying things.
I mean I had my reasons for choosing China, but post apocalyptic or dystopian europe would be easier to write.
On a different note, does anyone know where you can find African names that are country and/or language specific, with legit translations?
Cause I don't trust the baby names websites with names that aren't European. (Literally found some sites calling arabic and native American names "exotic" also so many contradicting translations)
Find the idea you're most passionate about and save anything that doesn't make that idea stronger for another story

May8e you could ask them "if you could descri8e your gender in terms outside of man woman and non8inary, how would you?" and see how they respond. I think pro-xeno people would 8e more understanding of a question like that. And if they react normally go on to descri8e your xenos.

Random question I've been thinking of-
So a big part of sign language is facial expressions, but what do people do if they need sign language to communicate but also, due to autism or some other reason, can't make facial expressions like how other people can? /gq /nf
Not deaf and don't speak sign so disregard this if you hear otherwise from someone who is, 8ut facial expressions are a part (not as 8ig 8ut still) of spoken language too, right? And it might cause issues in 8oth situ8ions. I figure it would just 8e something you'd have to take into account reading their signs even if communic8ion would 8e a 8it harder, I think that just comes with the territory of 8eing autistic.
I got a "tab buddy" yesterday. Basically it helps to open soda cans and i use it because my finger joints are absolute shit at not hurting when they press on things. It was SO helpful, like i didn't have to take a few minutes of messaging my fingers and i could easily drink my soda right away.
It feels so surreal to have accommodations for daily life for things that make me hurt. I used to think i wasn't deserving of accommodations for something "so easy".
If you're in pain when you do something, it is okay to get something that helps you, ESPECIALLY if you think you don't need it because "i could do this a few years/months/days ago"

Friendly reminders:
1. Stonewalling and taking space are NOT the same thing. Taking space involves communicating your needs, stonewalling is leaving the other person in the dark--and can often be used as a form of emotional abuse. (Not always but can be.)
2. Projecting what you don't like about your actions or traumas onto another person isn't good. Self reflect before accusing someone--know where you are coming from so you can make your stand properly when necessary and don't tear apart relationships unecessarily.
(And no, I am not saying you have to put up with abuse or can't stand up because of how you feel--this is more so for situations that aren't very black and white, that are harder to figure out what to define them as, or with relationships it can be hard to know if it is actually unhealthy or if it's a normal turbulance of people not always meshing. So you can take a step back, think, and figure out where your feelings are coming from. Far easier said than done.)
