Yeah man, that feeling you get after you've made about 50,000 jumpshots (give or take) over the years, and you literally know when the ball is going to miss, yeah id say most of that feeling is right there in the finger tips at release.
Ive been only playing a couple years but I can absolutely tell if I make it or not from anywhere and I can make 10-20 3's in a row which apparently is really good? I hope I can be an elite shooter one day
I've found that The index finger and middle finger combo tends to be statistically more beneficial for players. It creates a similar effect to the tracks on a shooting or passing machine. You get three points of contact, which essentially increase the likelihood of the ball traveling straight and in the direction you want.
@@yomomshouse100 No, I'm stating that if he added the two fingers much earlier in his youth, he could, theoretically, potentially improve even more behind his already incredibly state. You're still technically engaging with the primary finger on the index/middle/thumb combo. It's just that you have two additional points of contact, which essentially increase the likelihood and control.
@@myjciskate4 no you are not technically a middle finger shooter if your last finger to touch the ball is not your middle finger. Kobe and jordan = index finger. Paul george = index and middle finger. Curry, harden and dame = middle finger. Your just twisting reality to make yourself sound right for some theory that has no basis in reality.
The guide hand is strictly for control ✅ Thus the guide hand can be placed past the side, allowing for more control. Most important aspect of the shot is loading the wrist underneath the ball, whether your palm is on or off. I’ve actually heard index + middle finger shooters use palm, and index finger shooters use no palm.
Also doing no look shots helps with realizing when you’re giving too much powers or too little power to the shot. I also am now using a technique where I lob it straight from behind and use my whole palm while fading away while shootin. Helps against even the toughest bodying defenders. Placement is everything too, knowing when it’s a good time to go for the backboard or shoot
A good tip for follow through refinement is to touch your thumb and index or middle after your shot, helps with flick of the wrist and follow through Consistency.
Very solid yes 👍🏼 good guides. Typically you also want to have the ball in the corner from your front and top of your head. It also helps if you can comfortably do it while fading away. It makes it so that your shot is much less block able
I remember Jordan mentioned this on his fundamentals tape back in the day. He only shot with two fingers & recommended to practice shooting like that while in bed. Great tip
I have a confession: I shoot with both hands. Not as in I can shoot with either the left or the right but as in the two at the same time, both under the ball none to the side. As you would expect that form doesn't shoot right or straight. I'm always aiming more to the right and have to compensate more or less depending of how far I am from the basket. On the bright side I have double the power. Behold the power of two hands! I have unlocked that limitless range badge in real life.
BRO THANKS U THIS IS WHAT I REALLY needed i can shoot but this told me how to do my actual form to make shots ima try it later but ik it will work and then ima use it tomarrow ur W i hope you make it to the nba so i can play against or with you
I learn shooting is so easy look direct at goal already see your shoot going in and your hand will automatically follow your eyes if you practice this exercise you be just as good as steph and send your boi a check if you make to nba I learn when I was too old.
behind the basketball is actually false if you see the greater shooters their hand is on to the side and use palm rotation to get a smooth flick like steph klay and ray allen
Not gona lie bro, using the whole hand to shoot is 100% good form. I appreciate your videos, so I’m not hating. I respect your opinion bc I used to feel that way but it’s a good form. It’s like everything else in life. Practice and repetitions. Look at Steph Curry. He uses the whole hand.
See I’ve practiced so much with my shooting it’s my best attribute except I have a thumb flick, and I’ve grown to use it and not jump that much. My new coach is all about jumping and getting the power from the legs and so now I can’t shoot it properly and I’ve been trying to stop but it’s so frustrating because I just don’t how to not flick and when I don’t flick I can’t shoot far enough but if I shoot one handed from the three I make it but if I do it with both hands on the ball and no thumb flick I fucking airball short. Idk man it’s tough and I try to practice but I get mad and just go back to the thumb flick 😂
Bro nahh hold up but do you push with you’re thumb sometimes without noticing 😭 I didn’t use to do it when I shot but for some reason I do and it’s mad annoying I need help I mean Ik Steph curry does it but I wanna keep one hand up though
I respect this video but if you wanna be the best shooter ever no matter how ugly your form is just KEEP shooting and work on your shot…put up 100s of shots a day…trust me your shit will be wet…pause

Stephe curry, damian lillard and james harden would disagree.
@@yomomshouse100 I could make an argument that they would get even better results if they used 3 fingers.
@@myjciskate4 you would argue that curry who has shot 44-45% from three multiple seasons shouldnt be a middle finger shooter?

Thanks man this helps , now I can make a green with my left
A big one MAKE SURE YOU CAN SEE THE RIM WHEN SHOOTING ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
not seeing the rim for 0,4 seconds doesent affect the shot

Nah lil bro your ish is broken.. gotta fix that
Thanks for helping me zero!!!
There is actually a feeling in your forearm before you release the ball. If you listen to your body, you will be automatic from deep.
❤ all love my brother I know you’ll do great things no matter where or what it may be!
Good content bro, this makes me wanna hoop each time I see it

For shorter guys with smaller hands put your guide hand in the front, it will change your life.
Thanks so much the guide hand was what I need so much
Definitely saving this video

Thx now my shooting is not bad no more

i shoot off my middle finger and it’s been working with the new form i’ve acquired
Thank you so much
Can you do a more in depth toutorial on shooting
ngl my friends left me open at 3 nbut after this they guard me at half so thank you so much for making this
Thanks for my shooting 🤙🏀
Thx
bros way more helpful than the “p.e.” teachers at my school 💀
I usually put my shooting hand in the top right ish area I’m 6,1 at 13 so I would say that I do have some bigger hands than most people though
Song please you’re music taste is so lit
Yeat - HaHa!
I feel like this one is a lil subjective but fire content as usual 🔥
thank you for fixing these bad lil kids' jumpshots some of them just be chucking the ball
you hating on them like you wasn't in their spot at a time in life
i was mostly joking for that exact reason @@Prodby_Dre
Top demais showw❤❤
I put my guide slightly in front so as to make sure it doesn't slip back and push the ball

Any D-1 offers yet bro or turning social media trainer?
Aint got the strength for it. 2 hands like 🙅🏿♂️
I know some crazy shooters who weirdly do that thumb shooting thing they hold the sides of the ball weird but wet
Do more of this type
Ring and index finger for me
What would you say to players like trae young who cuff their shooting hand up and over the top of the ball? I’m just curious
What’s the background song?

How it go by yeat
Bros Neck 🥶
I don't have power to shoot. can you give me some tips to increase power while shooting
Try to get the power from your legs and not your arms. Doing squats and toe/calf raises help’s strength your leg muscles.
I try to put my hand on the side but it feel weird holding it like it’s going to fall out my hand
Tsk bro really appreciate it I have been playing ball for 6 years please comment on my comment🏀
Motivation
Does this apply to left hand shooting as well? Sorry if it’s a weird question
When it said hell no the basketball went in lol 😂
And if you practice both hands.. you unlocked harden, curry mode
Bro nahh hold up but do you push with you’re thumb sometimes without noticing 😭 I didn’t use to do it when I shot but for some reason I do and it’s mad annoying I need help I mean Ik Steph curry does it but I wanna keep one hand up though
Do you use your thumb on your shooter hand or is it just index and middle finger
Maybe turn down or turn off that noise in the background so people can hear your instructions.
Unc always said the guide hand is to hold the ball not to shoot
Thanks bro
Are thumb flicks ok 👍 am a decent shooter and I don’t want to relearn my shooting form
Thx man, but what have to thumbflick because your too weak?
Ikr
Low key need to raise ur shot point your shooting from ur face instead of the top of ur head ( easier to get blocked)
Unless you wanna be al horford. Block your shot as youre shooting it
The ball is too in front of his body when he raises up.
Don't understand how ur still under 100k
Every time i shoot a basketball my thumb always gets in the way
I use my middle finger and only my middle finger.
What if i cant shoot strong enough with only my main hand?
Do i need to flick my wrist all the way???😊
his shot doesn’t look as fluid but he’s got solid mechanics tbf
You forgot the most important part, spread your fingers.
I got a game today I’m gonna try your advice
Bro wat college or overseas team you play for?
Where do u aim in the rim? Front center or at the back?
front
Bro I just shoot and it goes in, I never knew I had to use my left hand for shooting
What if you’re not strong enough to shoot with only one hand and have to shoot with two. Like me
When Kobe broke his finger he shot off of the middle of his hand in between his middle and ring finger 🤷♂️
I respect this video but if you wanna be the best shooter ever no matter how ugly your form is just KEEP shooting and work on your shot…put up 100s of shots a day…trust me your shit will be wet…pause
Ref tech every thing bro😢
Steph would disagree with #2.
Name of song
Elbow Ames
,6'6
And like
10 Year old little Timmy who shoots with all fingers😂
You're holding it way too low before you shoot, dude. You can't even see the target.
its called a one motion shot
Shoot. Over. Your. Right. Eye.
This ez stuff idk how y’all can’t shoot
i swear, index always ruin everything
Great content, but your shot doesn't look that good, try gathering the ball higher.
