FYI. To legally buy a vehicle in Thailand, you first need to get a certificate of residence from Thai immigration, and then go to an office of the department of Land Transport with the seller (or a power of attorney from the seller), the green book, a copy of the seller's ID card, your passport, the certificate of residence, and a bill of sale showing the sale price. I don't know who legally owns that bike, but it's not you.
You will need a driving license from your home country if you want to hire a motorbike or car, in addition to having an international driver's permit or a license to drive on Thai roads. Although many tourists rent motorcycles without these, they are driving illegally and risking getting fined if caught. No insurance
No licence, no insurance, with so many crazy drivers/riders on the roads that drive too fast and don't look.... Braver than me!... I've been in Jomtien since Nov - so many Russians around both here and in Pratumnak its hard to spot the Thais except for in the businesses!! I made no plans for xmas and new year - no idea if there is anything fun happening anywhere....
What ever you do get it checked out. Make sure all the stuff works and has proper reg. One thing about manual is most people will not steal it b/c they can't shift!! Happy Pagan Solstice!!
Kick start is always better, if your battery dies you can still start it. If I was in your shoes I would be happy to have that bike but my preference is a Harley police bike with open true dual pipes supertuned for the road (I know they are almost useless in Thailand) or a big bore Suzuki motocross bike like a 74 TM400 (also pretty useless in Thailand)! I have the need for speed.
Thank god you didn't buy that scooter Johnny! No book, no paperwork is dodgy as they come! You should get something like a 125-200cc. Even though you'll sell it later, better to buy something legit! Merry Christmas JohnnyFD ⭐
Was just gonna say that. They're actually assembled in Thailand. Meanwhile North Amer has the chicken tax that makes the pickup truck and cargo van customers essentially in a hostage market.
3:35 the toyota mini trucks have areally good reputation but for bigger people asian stuff tends to be really small and not be designed for us. IMO vehicle prices have massively shot up in price. Like my ford E250 van was a few thousand dollars used, fuel consumption on it wasn't that great though. If I needed a truck for like deliveries its not a bad price but I would probably only get it for business purposes if I was generating income from it. engagement. Man that footballmonton must be rough on ankles.
I spent my teens driving manual mopeds. Never again. I loved the automatic scooters in Thailand. Your left foot will be sore. And you only have one head. Cheap Thai helmets are like a plastic shell, useless in accidents. I brought 2 helmets from home because I couldn't find decent helmets in Thailand.
Hey John, Toyota Truck for 13k? Please sent me one! Of course, by the time it gets here, the mark up will be priced the same as a Ford F-150. Screwed again from American greed! I heard that they do not sell them over here because of safety regulation requirements. BTW: I'm glad you did not purchase the bike from the other guy. Keep it legit! I was curious, since you spend your time in Ukraine and Thailand, could you rent a storage place to keep your bike for the Summer/fall months? I get the Bikes are so cheap, but maybe buy something decent/better (Like your Porsche was) and keep it year after year, versus trying to search for a bike every winter/spring.
...dont want a big sportsbike.. 150ccm..? Used to rent in Phuket RR1000 - the best bikes ...handles perfect, breaks perfect and goes like a rocket... you dont get overtaken by assh...es in pickups. Use you brain, dont be drunk....have a good helmet... lots of nice winding roads all over Phuket and up in Pang Nah...
Big bikes are great for mountain roads and highways, but terrible for narrow city streets. If anything, i'd rather have the small scooter for day to day, and rent a big bike on weekend trips.
I would buy a motorcycle myself hah hah I`ve always ridden them the last one was Yamaha virago 1100 party model oh i loved that bike so much :) but have a safe trip with the little scooter with a little basket in front ;)
Do some modifications on your bike now, put some cool stickers on it or make a design with decals hahaha. Maybe some Ukrainian Army design. Ahahhahahahah And put a cool exhaust on it
I want a Hilux, they are so versatile and the only option I would need is A/C and most of the ones I have seen in the US have A/C. The sides of the bed and tailgate fold down so you can carry oversize loads. Maybe someday.
@@BrianWeber-gt4ho Not true, they are illegal to import for manufacturers because they don't meet safety standards, they can't pass a crash test and in most cases emissions standards. But as an individual or going through a broker you can import a used one all you have to do is search for used Hilux for sale and you will find them! However I would only buy one that is already here and there are plenty. In some states there are restrictions on road use but most states do allow exemptions you just have to find out the restrictions in your state first. There's a guy in my town that has one and drives it quite often.
A 13k truck would never be allowed in the states, the big three will crush that idea with their powerful lobbyists.

lol he does it every year...

you dodged a bullet Johnny, bike without green book is probably stolen 😅
That white Vespa beside the bike you bought is much better for your build and it looks nice

The green book must have your name to be legal

Couldn't help but notice the brake light on your new bike didn't seem to work. Maybe I'm wrong. Good call on the 1st bike!

03:13- Toyota Hilux Champ retails for $13,200 !

Did it start?
too funny Johnny speaking english putting on a thai accent when speaking to the thai guys ahahahah
Why on earth would you buy a bike without a green book !! Crazy to even consider it ~~ Youre way to heavy for a 100 cc wave
It says Honda Forza is good for tall people. But it is costly.
I think i would rather buy used Corolla.
Johnny Thrifty, Well at least its a Honda
J if you're still paying for haircuts you're nutz 🎉 Merry Christmas 🎄🎁

Merry Christmas!
That first bike no good. Glad you decided on the bike you got. Can't wait to see what adventures you go on.
Thanks, me too!
That first bike seemed sketchy as hell!
Surprised you like the venerable wave. It is pretty light and economical though. That clip you showed is Sepak Takraw :D
Johnny, with the rental income from your Kyiv's apparemment you can live like a king there and start a family quickly!
What a great buy! I can't wait to see your next videos riding around Pattaya!

I was over taken many times by guys on honda waves when i was in thailand. They sounded amazing too, must have been modded.
Yes, I would have bought it.
Always learning new things from you. I have never seen that game they are playing with their feet. I definitely couldn't do that landing on one foot
I've seen a lot of random things while traveling and living in other countries, I'm glad I can share some of it with you!

manuals/semi autos get old real quick in city's with bumper to bumper traffic all day, should of gone a simple Honda click scooter
That's the nice thing about having a small scooter, you never need to wait in traffic. =)
Where are you here Johnny i know Thailand but, maybe you said and i didn't catch it?
johnny i have seen honda civics do over 210mph in the quarter mile ...
Dear Johnny, please wear your helmet.
Love. Mom❤
Wow that’s cheap! Wouldn’t trust the condition
Looks like that truck would be great on the frontline in Ukraine 🇺🇦. The logistics of getting it there though would probably be a nightmare.
Why ?
also automatic gears very nice Toyota about air-condition ? a very good price for a quality Toyota made car
oh mate, clutch with this year high season traffic 😂 you will regret every minute you drive 555
Merry Christmas 🎄🎅
Spiffy! Happy cycling.
Can you drive an atv there ? Better for stability and shopping 😂4x4
ATV's are even more dangerous, they roll over easily.
@JohnnyFD I had both moto-cross and atv. I liked my atv better felt more stable than on moto cross , or maybe I'm just a klutz Lol 😆
Hah, man! You look too big for this bike 🏍! But anyway good cheap purchase especially for temporary time.
I would buy a motorcycle myself hah hah I`ve always ridden them the last one was Yamaha virago 1100 party model oh i loved that bike so much :) but have a safe trip with the little scooter with a little basket in front ;)
