I actually find that whole metal alloy cooler increased heat soak, so upgrade with caution. Plastic does not heat up or retain heat like metals.

It seems the potential airflow volume IS possibly increased with an upgraded TMIC. However with the stock pipe under the TMIC remaining the same, that diameter becomes a bottle neck for airflow volume.
just curious, did you find any oil residue in the stock intercooler / charge pipe?

I did the COBB intercooler + charge pipe in my VA WRX. It did not go this smoothly 😆
Do I need a tune if I install both of these parts?
Is it hot yet?
Can I get a thrust tunnel for my stock intercooler 😅😅
