I'm seriously looking at the same model bike that's in great shape, has a windshield on it. It's so reminiscent of my first bike with those 4 exhaust pipes that really make them look stellar! My first was a black '82 Honda CB650SC Nighthawk.
Just bought one of these out of a barn at auction. It's been sitting for years but it's in awesome condition. I can't wait to get started bringing it back to life.
That’s my college bike! I miss that bike! Many girlfriends have ridden on that bike! Awesome memories! I ride a new Honda Goldwing DCT now. It’s the closest thing I can get to my old CB 1000!
In 1983 at 19 years old I worked for Al Rodi Honda in Atlanta Ga. Rodi cycles was the Dad of Beno Rodi whom Ken purchased the many vintage bikes from in a previous video. Rodi cycles owned Five dealerships in the metro Atlanta area. From 1983 thru 1987 I assemble and serviced about 150 of these CB1000customs along with all the other bikes Honda offered in that day. What Ken and his team are showing you is truly as if that bike Came out of the crate. It was an awesome job for a 19yr old kid at that time. To service, ride and be apart of such a large family owned Honda franchise and luckily I got to in-crate All those Honda’s from the CR line up, the sport bike, the custom bikes, the Gold Wings and everything in between. That custom 1000 is exactly as it was new on the show room floor. Great job Kaplan America & team members. All your vintage bikes takes me personally to a wonderful time in the MC industry. WOW is all I can say
I have one can confirm it's a very nice ride, very sturdy bike as well. The only two things if point out as flaws is that the middle cylinders can have blow by, and the tac/speedo cables can be loud as they age and don't hold oil typically they don't fail just scream at you.
I also have a totally original CB 1000 custom 1983 that I am looking to sell she’s just as beautiful as the one you show here in this video but she’s black and gray…
The difficult thing is not owning one of the approximately 7,000 rare examples sold (produced and sold only in North America in 1983), but owning one in Italy!
Yeah that's what you call... someone who moved from America to Italy LOL and brought the bike with them... I'm 45 years old.... I own one now.. but I've never seen one until I received from an older family member that had it for years

Just got one today. Very happy
Dude. That's awesome 😎👍
I bought one new out of the box in 1984. Easily the best bike I ever owned. Very much regret letting it go back in 1990.
I had one just like this one back in 1983, same color. Loved it...
