Got this monitor today after 3 months of rma issues with a previous monitor from them. I love it. I love your video/review I also wish they had the USB extension. Im glad to be the 418 subscriber. And i look forward to watching you grow.
I have been using the xl2546 specifically for it's DyAc. I had been searching for many many months looking for a CRT like experience, Then in 2017 I finally found it! It's important for your fps to at least nearly match the refresh rate for that amazing clarity. I found that DyAc works perfectly all the way down to 100hz. So if 100fps is all you can muster up at 1080p, set it to 100hz. You will be in CRT heaven!
Incredible video dude. I’ve had this monitor as a desire for well over a year now. It finally went on sale (very rare) on Amazon and now it’s on the way. I’m a diehard Warzone/cod player and have had many monitors over the years. But none of them have gotten me as excited as this one. DYAC looks absolutely bonkers. I can’t wait.

I'm one of the few who got the XL2546S and i am very relieved when i heard the news that this monitor uses the same panel as the XL2546S. If this monitor would have been better in performance i would've felt really screwed by Benq. So pretty much the XL2546S's performance is the same as the XL2546K just with the older design, older OSD etc, which i don't mind at all.

I wish you could configure the monitor buttons to quickly switch profiles. I hate having the S-Switch take up space on my desk just so I can switch between my 2 profiles in 1 click. Also this is some top quality content and you deserve to grow!

Hey man great video. Subbed with the bell on baby! Question for you. I'm finally making the upgrade to PC. I am checking this monitor out but don't know much about this stuff. I hear that g sync is good and am worried that i could experience screen tearing on this monitor not hitting a constant 240 frames on Warzone. I love playing Warzone but that being said, i hope to play some RPGs and what not. Plan on getting an RTX 3080 once I can get a hold of one. Any input you could provide would be a great help. Thanks!
Trust me; if you're getting a 3080 and this monitor, GSYNC should never be on your radar. You should be able to hit 200+ FPS consistently with your graphics card with the XL2546K. GSYNC would be worth it if say... you were to play at 240hz at 1440p on a 27" monitor. But I honestly think that this is woefully overkill. I don't think 1080p is going anywhere for monitor resolution, if anything, people might jump to 2K or 1440p as the next best level. But competitive gamers would just turn all graphics quality down to LOW or MEDIUM anyway. Also GSYNC adds a noticeable amount of input lag so I would avoid it completely unless you're gaming on 4K monitor or something. Thanks for the kind words.

Good video ! Keep it up ! My main issue is that, right now I'm using an alienware 34 inch monitor( aw3418dw )but I play lots of competitive games. So my question is, it will be a little bit too smaller compared with what I've been using so far ? Will I get used to an 24 inch monitor ?
Thanks for being the first review on this great monitor. There is one factor that you didn't mention that I had a question on. This monitor is said to have FreeSync Premium. Does this work with G Sync compatible too?
Hi thanks for watching and your question. This monitor supports Freesync Premium but does NOT support G-SYNC compatibility. At least, it lacks that necessary hardware to be optimized to use GSYNC with an NVIDIA card. With that said, if you're buying this monitor, you're playing competitively. And if you're playing competitively, you shouldn't be using GYSNC because it adds input lag. In fact, at 240hz refresh rate, you shouldn't even be using Freesync either. Both pale in comparison to DyAc+. Hope this helps, take care!
There's some improvements to be made here for this monitor. A. Bezel B. Upgrading to DisplayPort 1.4 C. Resolution. PC hardware is ready for 1440p or also called 2K D. Color reproduction out of the box
Hi Peter. This monitor is more or less developed for Pro CS. Most pros play on 4:3 resolutions, alot of them are even playing with blackbars making this monitor the pinacle of gaming displays for CS:GO players

@@xKibz honestly it's good in terms of response time, ghosting. Better than all 360hz monitors. Just you have to sacrifice on colors and clarity. Ips has better colour and pixel quality compared to zowies TN. But I will suggest to wait for few months until zowie gets something new?
I would love to but simply put, I can't afford it at this time. I will say, that if I had to pick one now, I would stick with the Zowie XL2546K. The games that I play, wouldn't even be able to push or sustain 360 fps. On top of that, GSYNC will always have significantly more input lag compared to Zowie's Antiblur solution.

great video! But it's so hard for me to make that decision. I'm an FPS player and I do care about that kill, I have had an xl2511 in the past and it was good. I do however want to create, edit and watch content and movies, and not having my main monitor as an IPS is a problem, I mean yes I can have 3 or 100 monitors but sill the main one that is exactly in front of me is not an IPS and doesn't have the best colours, will it work if I just adjust my chair and how I am setting to the second or third monitor? will it be comfortable? pls help
Thats a difficult question to ask because I don't know exactly what your setup is like. I can however, tell you how I make it work with mine... as you've seen in the video, I have two IPS monitors on both sides. The truth is, I can work on either monitor when I'm doing creative work but to be honest, I usually do a lot of my editing on the BenQ Zowie. I can always move Adobe Premiere to the other monitor via Windows if I need a quick reference but otherwise, it usually isn't a problem. Another potential solution for myself is that I use a LUT that I know is color corrected to my liking. So the only thing I really need to do is basically apply the LUT once I'm done editing and I know it will look how I want my image/video to look even if it doesn't look "right" on my XL2546K. But then again, gaming is also very important for me, its something I'm not willing to sacrifice at this time. Hope this helps, good luck!
Sup buddy, I had the original 2546, I recently tested the VG259QM 280Hz "fast ips" with every options possible (gsync on or disabled, elmb off/on) It was mostly to get rid of eye strains etc but nope there is some input-lagg / ghosting and I can't reproduce my true skill in place. Refund the Asus and ordered 2546K and decided that it's time to have a dual monitors setting, one for gaming in the central desk area and a movable nice ips pannel (cheaper model) on the side, can't have both world working up together yet i guess. (3000 elo csgo experience)

@@Sw0rdd hey mate, hope you will find what you search for, to answer about your question, my 2546K is not arrived yet, Amazon external vendor fckd up (1st time) so i'm waiting and I'm not rushing I still look reviews for a 23.5/24.5" ips pannel, it will be mounted on an adjustable arm "VESA" yep like on the left of my desk. Nah the benq will stay in the center not gonna move my position/marks hahah, i'll just have to find a good angle to sit lul, everyone has personal needs but overall my original message was to share my experience so you get an idea, that Asus monitor was supposed to be one of the top of new tech advancements.. yet i got dissapointed, I have dry-eyes/headache/myopia in general with monitors, but TN pannels are so freakin smooth for fast games that imho there is no way to sacrifice it over a tech that is not rdy to compete against TN. If you wanna perform get BenQ or any competitiv monitor, and ips/design monitor to watch films and fun games like Cyberpunk on the side yep, gl in finding your perfect match! (Sorry broken english im french and not focus xD)
Hi thanks for watching. According to Zowie, the S and K series have a "fast liquid crystal" display at 0.5ms. However, I don't think the difference is substantial enough to warrant the upgrade, especially since you already have the XL2546 that has DyAc+. Save your money and buy what Zowie brings out next.
@@AJtheSwede DyAc+ is pretty awesome. If you're competitive, then definitely do it. I would sell your old monitor first before buying the new one. Personally.
FYI, since you asked the reason you might want AMA on High instead of Premium is ghosting (an afterimage dragging behind the image). On my XL2730 I run High because the ghosting is just insane. That said, I don't know if the XL2546K has ghosting issues on Premium.
I would consider it only if a) money is no factor for you b) you do a lot of video/content creation. And even then, not really. 360hz seems to be overkill for this generation (depending on what game you're playing). Quality control issues are rampant with the new ASUS. Just my two cents.
@@rajivsinha2574 thanks for the insight! A buddy of mine was complaining about eye soreness with the BenQ xl 2546 whenever he was reading or doing different tasks besides gaming. I am looking for a good all-in-one solution. Maybe it is better to wait for the competition to release other products, as there seem to be concerns regarding quality with the Asus. Cheers!
@@Jer0nMr Yah eye strain has been reported by some people. I don't keep DyAc+ and AMA on when not playing. Although in fairness, I don't get eye strain as it is. You should consider the MAG251RX or possibly the ASUS VQ259QM (I think thats the model) also. If you're not looking for something uber competitive with very decent colors, both are great options. @@rajivsinha2574 Hello! According some UFO test gosthing is apparently more pronounced on the 360hz one. I could have had the 360 for the same price but i chose the benQ for this reason (Furthermore in Overwatch i have between 240-320 fps so I guess I made the right choice) What do you think?
Good review. Here's something I've noticed on the monitor. Gamer1 and Gamer3 have very different saturation and contrast, Gamer1 has higher saturation, very noticable with red (both with identical settings) I'm not sure why this is. Have you tried this? Perhaps you have the answer I've been searching for. That being said, I use Gamer1 for gaming and Gamer3 for content consumption, works out pretty well.
Hi there, thanks for watching. As for default profiles, I didn't think any were particularly great for content consumption, hence why I made an ICC profile for this monitor. Yah saturation levels are sort of all across the board with this thing. I'm not the biggest fan. The modes are predefined by Zowie but I really think its best to make your own. Keep it at Standard > Build the profile you would like for Gaming or Content > Save.
@@rajivsinha2574 Ya it's really strange. My monitor is calibrated and running CPK, yet Gamer1 and Gamer2 have higher saturation level than Gamer3, this is all under the exact same settings, it's really weird.
Are colors really that bad? I just want 240hz monitor with good motion blur with normal brightness and decent colors. Also I have used 144hz monitor for like 4 years now its tn panel and i dont see much problem with the colors in it so will xl2546k be at least good as my current so i dont have to worry if im already satisfied with the colors. Also I have never calibrated colors.
I am debating getting this monitor, so many people have issues with the colour, idc about the fact its tn, is it worth for esports gaming? I play 2560 1440, n been thinking about a downgrade, i rarely use 1440 only for watching videos and single player games which i rarely play

1. Fortunately, I haven't had any issues with DyAc+. I know some other people are more prone to it, fortunately, it hasn't been an issue for me. 2. This. I imagine the Omen is a great monitor but GSYNC doesn't hold a candle to the XL2546K. The input lag is too high for it to be used competitively (which is why pro player never use GSYNC). @@rajivsinha2574 Yea I wouldn’t use gsync on the Omen either. It’s just the fact it has naturally a really low latency. I had the Alienware AW2518H and I used that to compete in Apex Legends Global Series, but had to sell it, and now I’m deciding between this Zowie and the Omen.

I think you will, however if you don't want to, Zowie also makes a 27" of this monitor that you might be interested in!

@@xKibz I thought the colors were horrible kept it for two weeks and returned it. I would look into the Alienware or Strix 240-360hz

@@xKibz honestly it's good in terms of response time, ghosting. Better than all 360hz monitors. Just you have to sacrifice on colors and clarity. Ips has better colour and pixel quality compared to zowies TN. But I will suggest to wait for few months until zowie gets something new?

Can you review the Asus 360HZ, and recommend what is better? DYAC 240, or G-sync 360?
I would love to but simply put, I can't afford it at this time. I will say, that if I had to pick one now, I would stick with the Zowie XL2546K. The games that I play, wouldn't even be able to push or sustain 360 fps. On top of that, GSYNC will always have significantly more input lag compared to Zowie's Antiblur solution.

great video! But it's so hard for me to make that decision. I'm an FPS player and I do care about that kill, I have had an xl2511 in the past and it was good. I do however want to create, edit and watch content and movies, and not having my main monitor as an IPS is a problem, I mean yes I can have 3 or 100 monitors but sill the main one that is exactly in front of me is not an IPS and doesn't have the best colours, will it work if I just adjust my chair and how I am setting to the second or third monitor? will it be comfortable? pls help
Thats a difficult question to ask because I don't know exactly what your setup is like.
I can however, tell you how I make it work with mine... as you've seen in the video, I have two IPS monitors on both sides.
The truth is, I can work on either monitor when I'm doing creative work but to be honest, I usually do a lot of my editing on the BenQ Zowie. I can always move Adobe Premiere to the other monitor via Windows if I need a quick reference but otherwise, it usually isn't a problem.
Another potential solution for myself is that I use a LUT that I know is color corrected to my liking. So the only thing I really need to do is basically apply the LUT once I'm done editing and I know it will look how I want my image/video to look even if it doesn't look "right" on my XL2546K.
But then again, gaming is also very important for me, its something I'm not willing to sacrifice at this time. Hope this helps, good luck!
Sup buddy, I had the original 2546, I recently tested the VG259QM 280Hz "fast ips" with every options possible (gsync on or disabled, elmb off/on) It was mostly to get rid of eye strains etc but nope there is some input-lagg / ghosting and I can't reproduce my true skill in place. Refund the Asus and ordered 2546K and decided that it's time to have a dual monitors setting, one for gaming in the central desk area and a movable nice ips pannel (cheaper model) on the side, can't have both world working up together yet i guess. (3000 elo csgo experience)

@@Sw0rdd hey mate, hope you will find what you search for, to answer about your question, my 2546K is not arrived yet, Amazon external vendor fckd up (1st time) so i'm waiting and I'm not rushing I still look reviews for a 23.5/24.5" ips pannel, it will be mounted on an adjustable arm "VESA" yep like on the left of my desk. Nah the benq will stay in the center not gonna move my position/marks hahah, i'll just have to find a good angle to sit lul, everyone has personal needs but overall my original message was to share my experience so you get an idea, that Asus monitor was supposed to be one of the top of new tech advancements.. yet i got dissapointed, I have dry-eyes/headache/myopia in general with monitors, but TN pannels are so freakin smooth for fast games that imho there is no way to sacrifice it over a tech that is not rdy to compete against TN. If you wanna perform get BenQ or any competitiv monitor, and ips/design monitor to watch films and fun games like Cyberpunk on the side yep, gl in finding your perfect match! (Sorry broken english im french and not focus xD)

Hi thanks for watching. According to Zowie, the S and K series have a "fast liquid crystal" display at 0.5ms. However, I don't think the difference is substantial enough to warrant the upgrade, especially since you already have the XL2546 that has DyAc+.
Save your money and buy what Zowie brings out next.

FYI, since you asked the reason you might want AMA on High instead of Premium is ghosting (an afterimage dragging behind the image). On my XL2730 I run High because the ghosting is just insane. That said, I don't know if the XL2546K has ghosting issues on Premium.

I would consider it only if a) money is no factor for you b) you do a lot of video/content creation. And even then, not really. 360hz seems to be overkill for this generation (depending on what game you're playing). Quality control issues are rampant with the new ASUS. Just my two cents.

I am looking for a good all-in-one solution. Maybe it is better to wait for the competition to release other products, as there seem to be concerns regarding quality with the Asus. Cheers!
@@Jer0nMr Yah eye strain has been reported by some people. I don't keep DyAc+ and AMA on when not playing. Although in fairness, I don't get eye strain as it is.
You should consider the MAG251RX or possibly the ASUS VQ259QM (I think thats the model) also. If you're not looking for something uber competitive with very decent colors, both are great options. Good luck!
@@rajivsinha2574 Hello! According some UFO test gosthing is apparently more pronounced on the 360hz one. I could have had the 360 for the same price but i chose the benQ for this reason (Furthermore in Overwatch i have between 240-320 fps so I guess I made the right choice) What do you think?

Good review. Here's something I've noticed on the monitor. Gamer1 and Gamer3 have very different saturation and contrast, Gamer1 has higher saturation, very noticable with red (both with identical settings) I'm not sure why this is. Have you tried this? Perhaps you have the answer I've been searching for. That being said, I use Gamer1 for gaming and Gamer3 for content consumption, works out pretty well.

As for default profiles, I didn't think any were particularly great for content consumption, hence why I made an ICC profile for this monitor.
Yah saturation levels are sort of all across the board with this thing. I'm not the biggest fan. The modes are predefined by Zowie but I really think its best to make your own. Keep it at Standard > Build the profile you would like for Gaming or Content > Save.
@@rajivsinha2574 Ya it's really strange. My monitor is calibrated and running CPK, yet Gamer1 and Gamer2 have higher saturation level than Gamer3, this is all under the exact same settings, it's really weird.

Are colors really that bad? I just want 240hz monitor with good motion blur with normal brightness and decent colors. Also I have used 144hz monitor for like 4 years now its tn panel and i dont see much problem with the colors in it so will xl2546k be at least good as my current so i dont have to worry if im already satisfied with the colors. Also I have never calibrated colors.

2 questions
1. DyAc+ makes the screen strobe like a CRT. Does that make you head hurt after a few hours?

1. Fortunately, I haven't had any issues with DyAc+. I know some other people are more prone to it, fortunately, it hasn't been an issue for me.
2. This. I imagine the Omen is a great monitor but GSYNC doesn't hold a candle to the XL2546K. The input lag is too high for it to be used competitively (which is why pro player never use GSYNC).

@@rajivsinha2574 Yea I wouldn’t use gsync on the Omen either. It’s just the fact it has naturally a really low latency. I had the Alienware AW2518H and I used that to compete in Apex Legends Global Series, but had to sell it, and now I’m deciding between this Zowie and the Omen.
