Gotta say, in addition to a great video and an awesome bike, that guy you’re riding with, his skills are over the top! Few people could manage those freaking boulders like he did.
The drone shots were outstanding and that Claymore looks Sweet! You need a bike with that capability to be successful on a trail like that. I’ve never ridden a high pivot bike, but I totally understand how it works and its ability to reducing impacts with gnarliness. Thanks for another great video and advertising Scotland.
@@McTrailRider Still looks less steep than really is, but good job managing to ride most of it! Would be nice if had some way to get bikes to the top easier & I am working on how that could be done? Never really though there was a need for super long dropper seat post, but for that sort off descent there definitely is?
WOW .....Andrew , that was awesome . The backdrop , the drone shots showing you guys riding that insanely steep , craggy stuff ? Mannnnnnn. Thanks for sharing..Peace
the drone coverage puts your content a cut above most, yes, u have the advantage of the epic wide open Scottish Highlands, but still a fantastic perspective to watch! great ride, great riding, keep it coming!
One of yer best! Outstanding shots from drone and body cams, on a clearly mega ride. Not sure I'd have the chops to tackle that level, and like you showed, there's no shame in walking sections like these. I recently walked down some our drops, just because I didn't just feel the mojo was there on that afternoon and no regrets. You've really reinforced the Claymore as a great weapon too.....but I was already convinced after your EWS outing. Nuf respect to you both!
Nice looking bike I do like the green with the ohlins very nice, looked like the bikes handled that trail pretty well, drone shots showed how hard the front suspension was working, nice one 👍👍
Fantastic video Andrew. Great riding by both of you. But, you capture the majesty of the mountains perfectly. Hats off to the walkists too, the mountain looks like a bit of a calf burner! 🤙🤙
Beautiful machine and a real contender for the new Hope HB916 which has almost identical geometry travel and features. I opted for the Hope as the factory is not too far from me and I wanted a frame made in the UK. Great to see these British companies bringing out the exact bikes we want to ride, whilst billed as Enduro they coincidently make fantastic all day in the Mountains bikes at a reasonable weight.
Can't believe you haven't taken any stick for leaving your race number on! But what a great video with great riding of great bikes in what looks a great but terrifying spot. I bought a Highlander off the back of watching what you did with your one and love it - so capable, so much more capable than its rider!
Thank God you bailed out on that steep bit. It looked insane. It’s good to know that you’re at your limit. Also it makes me feel less crap myself too. Bike seems nice.
@@McTrailRider just following through, my frame showed up Monday! Waiting on a few more parts. This build is going to be off the charts! Cheers guys! Go follow YoshimuraCycling for updates SO EXCITED!!
Another great vid! I would be interested in a ‘running commentary’ for the Claymore from a reliability / maintenance perspective. Where I am, the Forbidden Druid is the high pivot option built locally.
It uses the same, or very similar hardware to the Highlander, which has been extremely reliable for me over the past two years. The Forbidden is a really nice bike to be fair, but I’ve heard of people having a few issues with them, mainly with the idler cog.
The drone shots are great, but I reckon it looks way steeper and scarier in POV. Until you get to minute 13, when it looks completely ridiculous!!!! What a trail 💪 Nice bike as well!
Just found your channel i,m half scottish live in aus and am so jealous of your terrain looks so cool bet your calves were burning on all those stairs, well filmed . Be interested to know about the rest of the ride ie total distance the climbs time taken heart rate , just subed look forward to more thumbs up from down under .
This vid is y i luv ya channel dude. INSANE trails bro n some beautiful views n Brilliant ridin mate. Those bikes look mint ps can ya get us a huge discount on 1 lol o.j.That boy got skills eh 👏👏👏👊
How does the Claymore compare to the Guide when descending? Loved the way the guide descended; like no other bike I’ve ridden. Didn’t get the same feeling from the Highlander.
@@McTrailRider yea, being a fledgling youtuber myself I know just how much work effort and determination it must have taken you to get there!! well deserved I say!!
Great video. The drone shots certainly show how well the suspension is working.
True, I do love watching the suspension do is thing.
Gotta say, in addition to a great video and an awesome bike, that guy you’re riding with, his skills are over the top! Few people could manage those freaking boulders like he did.
What the AF? That was really intense. If I can ever learn to ride as well you in the mountains I'll be more than happy. Great riding both of you 🙌💯
Intense is a good word to describe this ride. If you’d ridden as much of the mountains as I have, you’d be at a similar level mate👍

Woa !!! Damn Great as usual, yeah the drone definitely did some justice, looks like a serious beast. keep pushing bro.. 🤙 👍👍👍 Liked & shared !!

Awesome riding from both of you, good to see you pushing your limits Andy! Ben's switchback hopping skills are to die for!
Your drone shots are amazing - really show the knar level way more than POV. Superb!
Proper MTB again 👍 great video ❤️🏴

Wow. Top class riding from both of you. Not a chance I would ride that.

Glad you enjoyed it dude.
Fair play to you both great trails skills from Ben, Claymore looks sweet
Thanks Nathan
A bit of a wild ride. Drone footage really gives a good impression on how steep the trails are. Excellent video 📹
Well that looked like hard work both up and down. The bikes look great, wish I had somewhere locally to ride that justified buying one.
It’s a lot of bike to be fair, which isn’t going to suit everyone everywhere.
Kind of puts Sam Pilgrims 'stairsets of doom' into perspective 🤣
Fair play guys, arm pump must've been horrendous up there!
Wow! Stunning scenery , Stunning bike . Absolutely amazing riding from both of you.
Wowza! The drone really showed how crazily steep some sections were. Big respect and great video.
Looks like a fantastic bike. Great riding too. Drone footage was A1. Nice!
20 degrees....too hot 🤣 epic ride

Expert riding from you and Ben. That Claymore is the goods! Great video to watch, and some of those features look terrifying!
Properly awesome! Nice riding. The claymore’s looking good 👌
Wow! Take a bow man! The route, the biking, the bike, the footage. Phenomenal!
Love the colour! Fantastic content as usual 👍
The colours are pretty cool👍
Great Video, great riding, great bike, top entertainment Andy, well done both!
Superb mate, love the bike, crazy riding haha, nice work 😃👍

Calf burner indeed, the going was slow on the way up 😮💨

So much staircase on that, my arms would be toast a quarter of the way down. Great vid, really shows the bikes suspension putting in work.
A lot of steps involved 😜

omg! Great video !!! how i miss the trail like this...respect guys :)
Brutal mate, absolutely brutal. Bikes look nice too 👍.
Loved it those are burly machines indeed
and the scenery was epic
Riding on the nose there, good job 👍
Wow that was unbelievable fantastic video, wish I had the ability to ride terrain like that 👏👏
Me too 😂 Ben certainly had it dialled 🤘
Nice work! You need to come and visit the Pacific North West.
Yes, that certainly is Mountain Biking! Quality video and the bike looks mint😊
Thanks Mark
All that time in the Alps has turned Ben into a super tech wizard. 😀
Epic indeed - look forward to seeing new bike day

Yeah, it’s weird, the different cameras worked in different scenarios, but not all. Neither done the steepness full justice unfortunately.
Great drone shots. I’ve walked that hill. I’ve no idea how you rode down!😱
It’s a hell of a steep climb up to the bealach isn’t it 😬
@@McTrailRider Yep! The day I did it it was lashing with rain and blowing a gale!🤣

460 mm reach so the frame isn't for those with 170 height. Basically you don't have M size as your M is actually L.
@McTrail Rider Do u know the weight of the Claymore build?
that was McSpicy
Hi bud can you recommend a decent full suspension bike for 2k and same for the wife. On a budget so buying 2 bikes isn’t cheap. Videos are awesome 😎
That drone footage is unbelievable! What great filming - is there someone controlling it or is it just set to follow you?
Thanks. The drone does all the work itself👍
It’s a Skydio 2, unfortunately no longer available to the public😢
Wow
That is all 🤙🤙😬
Thanks Bernard
Can I borrow your old frame for like a couple hundred years?
eeeeeeeeeeeeepic.....balls of granite yous lads...👌
Hi Andrew really like this vid! What size frame did you order? Keep it up mate!!
Large for me at 6”1’, 490mm reach on it.
deviete make lovely 🏍 shame they Don,t make one out steel
True, but they couldn’t make those particular shapes and lines in steel though.
Think Deviate have done well here. Now make 2 very capable good bikes for slightly different types of riding
Looking forward to when they have even more models for more disciplines 😜
Jesus Christ Andrew !
I just go by Andrew these days 😜
