t'was a fine saturday in late spetember for a wee run doon nevis range. The claymore is indeed one hell of bike! Top Chief tripped me up , Pierrs gubbed his Mech on the 4th run and McTrail Rideer battked on through with that mighty bike to finish the day calamity-free! Well in Andy. 🤘🤘
💯Excellent Viewing Andrew! Thank you for your commitement to the downhill life,All your videos are such Good visual stories you reflect your love of this bike life! I wish you many years of shredding up and down and around those beautiful highlands! We see the lovely life you have through your videos! Proud to be Subscribed mate!⛄🎄Merry Christmas 🎄
The Ohlins is definitely different to other suspension that I’ve used, and it took me a very long time to get the setup on the forks right. Totally worth the effort though, as the suspension feel is excellent now👌
I got my Claymore because of you (luckily got the order in just before the pinkbike review dropped) and absolutely love it! I was wondering when you will finally be showing off yours after I got mine mid November :)
Cracking video as always. Be nice to see a timed run down Top Chief to compare with the Highlander. BTW, did @jonesemtb ever arrange anything with you for a proper ride in Scotland for the emtb channel?
Very keen to set a Top Chief time on the Claymore, but will have to wait till next year now. Nothing materialised with Steve, but that’s not to say that something won’t ever happen in the future.
Awesome Video! Can’t wait too see more Claymore content online. What is your Height / Frame size? I am in the process of ordering and at 182cm I am between Large / Medium. Appreciate any input, keep shredding 🤘🏼
As for psi with tyre insurts I am around 110kg & I run nukeproof tyre insurts & on my Whyte G160 with Michael wild enduro's & the lowest I have run is 15psi rear 12psi front felt really good on the sloppy stuff most of the time I run 15psi front & 18psi rear on the rocky stuff I go up to 18psi front & 20psi rear.
Had to stop watching this on the rollers cause I kept trying to lift the bars when you went over drops 🤣 Tis a nice bike although that saddle logo is a bit dodgy.
Deviate has the sexiest bikes at the moment imho. How does it compare to the Highlander in your opinion? If you could have one bike only... Would you rather pick the Highlander or the Claymore (if you can say that already)
I’m still to make the bike check video, my apologies.
Thanks Andrew..Merry Christmas.
Thanks dude, merry Christmas to you

It’s a tough place to ride, I remember a time when bikes simply couldn’t handle a day at fort William.
Looking warm for this time of year! 🤣
Very unseasonal😜
Bike looks amazing. Love this and looks like you love the bike. Amazing weather too 😍. Looking forward to seeing it more 👍
Thanks Paul, I’m definitely loving the bike 👌
@@McTrailRider so glad to hear 👍👍
Great vid Andy, Happy Christmas!
Merry Christmas Kyle 👍

Thanks very much for your kind words Roger, it means a lot to me 😊
Another great vid MrMcT, looking forward to what 2023 brings 👌.You continue to inspire 👏😎
Thanks dude, really appreciate it 😊
Great video, good insite. thanks.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it
Scotland in Winter looks great.... 😉
Totally standard winter weather here 😜
ah-hem! September actualy!
Best part about that bike is the COLOUR ! 🤪
For sure! British racing Green, pretty much.
Took me a few rides on my stage 6 evo to get my RXF 36 and TTX1 setup, but the bike feels epic now. Lovely suspension 👌

Green, white & orange.... I like the colours, Andy. Eirinn Go Brach ;)
Ha, didn’t realise I was replicating the Irish flag when spec’ing the bike out.
Great video. Hope you've had a good xmas👍
Thanks Rhett, merry Christmas
You should try and beat your Top Chief time set on your Highlander, best wait until spring and it's not under a foot of snow right enough🤣
I’m keen to give it a go, should be the fastest bike I’ve taken down Top Chief.
I got my Claymore because of you (luckily got the order in just before the pinkbike review dropped) and absolutely love it! I was wondering when you will finally be showing off yours after I got mine mid November :)
Awesome to hear that you got one mate 👍 and yes, I think the demand went way up once that Pinkbike review came out, they really did love the bike.
@@McTrailRider the Pinkbike review put it on my radar, but your channel definitely cemented if for me. I've had mine since the beginning of November!
@@TheDavidjakeson awesome mate! You’ve made a good choice 👌
If its that hot and sunny in Fort Bill I'm getting in the car and leaving now!!! 😂 Cracking vid
It was just for a couple of hours, I wouldn’t waste a trip 😜
@@McTrailRider dammit 😂😂

Hi Mate how are the hope tech 4 brakes? I’m building up a claymore and still deciding what brakes to use.
Best brakes I’ve used tbh. I’ve got the v4’s with e-bike discs and the power is way better than the previous version.
Hi, just wondered if you’ve got your Instagram back yet? Also thankyou for being a continuous inspiration for me to get out on my bike.
I don’t have it back yet, but it seems some of the spam and bogus posts have been removed now.
I'm looking at getting the same bike/build as yours! How do you find coil compared to air shock on it! Ohlins looks like it's very easy to set up too!
Good choice mate! I personally prefer the coil on the Claymore, I think it suits the intentions of the bike best.
Awesome Video! Can’t wait too see more Claymore content online. What is your Height / Frame size? I am in the process of ordering and at 182cm I am between Large / Medium. Appreciate any input, keep shredding 🤘🏼
I’m 184cm on a large, and I feel it’s about perfect for what I do. The stand over clearance is fantastic, so sizing up is very easy to do.
As for psi with tyre insurts
I am around 110kg & I run nukeproof tyre insurts & on my Whyte G160 with Michael wild enduro's & the lowest I have run is 15psi rear 12psi front felt really good on the sloppy stuff most of the time I run 15psi front & 18psi rear on the rocky stuff I go up to 18psi front & 20psi rear.
That’s some seriously low pressures! Should equal loads of grip.
I found the bike to be quite slow rolling once I went lower than 18psi.
@@McTrailRider yep it slows it down but better grip
I find around 20psi is the best for me most of the time
Had to stop watching this on the rollers cause I kept trying to lift the bars when you went over drops 🤣 Tis a nice bike although that saddle logo is a bit dodgy.
Probably safer not to carry on with that 😜
Where’s the bike check? Great video though looks rad the claymore
Still haven’t made it 😬
Deviate has the sexiest bikes at the moment imho. How does it compare to the Highlander in your opinion? If you could have one bike only... Would you rather pick the Highlander or the Claymore (if you can say that already)
Can’t argue with that mate, they look as amazing as they perform.
For the riding I do, the Claymore is definitely the bike that suits me more.
Great video, whats happened to your instagram recently
It got hacked, still out of my hands atm
Hey,
Nice build!!
How tall are you and what size claymore did you get?
Thanks
6”1’ on a large 👍
show us the jumps...even if you don't do them...please
You’ll need to wait till next year now, but I’d like to give the jumps a go.
😜
