Awesome man. Lower Wardell might be my favourite trail for pure smiles and fun. You guys were flying. Even the bar catch seemed fast 👌 We went to Golfie today and it had dried out loads. NYNY was mint. 3G was still lethal 🤣
Another awesome vid Andy, thank you!! Mind you; that has almost certainly just cost me a couple of nights in the pods this weekend! I need some Golfie and Glentress again! Would you mind me asking what you weigh and what tyre pressures you run in those Kryptotals? They are my favourites too, but you seem to have immense grip and I wonder if you are running super soft.
Nice trails, nice riding! I'm visiting southern Schotland in June for 3.5 days. Golfie and 7 Stanes (Glentress!) seem nice for trail riding/rougher techy XC stuff. Any must do's or area's to focus on/places to stay? Any tip welcome. There seems to be so much to choose from, thanx for the inspiration!
The Tweed Valley has the highest concentration of good riding by far, out of all the 7 Stanes. The Golfie is the go to for most people, but Innerleithen has an uplift and is more downhill focused. Glentress has some really good flowing new trails to try. Ride some of the better known trails first and then ask some local bike shops for advice based on your thoughts👍
Love seeing these trails even if everyone films there. What camera are you using for most of the footage? I saw you switch to the chesty at one point but the FOV from that chin mount is great
Good vid Andrew, your pinkies living on the edge. ;) what width bars are you running these days? I feel my 795s could benefit from a trim down. Cheers!
@@McTrailRider cheers, yrah i like near 800 for open spaces for sure, but 90% of my riding is done in valley, but im really reluctant to teim them down.....☺️ well, good to know someone is riding them even wider, so maybe I'll leave them a bit longer. :)
I prefer the Ohlins for fast Enduro riding. I feel that they run softer and more subtle, whilst being more damped and supportive at the same time. I rate them highly 👍
@@McTrailRidergot Fox 36 but find it a bit harsh and overly damped even with compression fully open. Considering a custom tune or getting ohlins. But heard contradicting info on ohlins
@@spartanmtb2640 see if you can try an Ohlins fork somewhere first. I have fox suspension on my Highlander and when I ride an Ohlins equipped Highlander, mine does feel hash compared to the Ohlins Bike.
Thought that was you, Friday afternoon? Hadn’t been for years before then. Five or maybe eight years ago would have said it would be the benchmark when I’d be there most weekends. It only really caters to one audience and no real sense of adventure. Tastes change I guess. Won’t be in a hurry to go back.

Yeah, lower Wardell is really good 👌 So much fun!
Yip @@McTrailRiderI think I prefer wardell way lower to the top trail
@@McTrailRiderthe flow is better
Can’t believe I have always skipped lower Wardell in order to keep my altitude. Damn!!
Whetting my appetite...I'll be up there in 4 weeks or so. Great riding Andrew.
Nice ride Andrew! Community Service one of my favourite trails anywhere, let alone Golfie!
I really enjoy Community Service, hadn’t ridden it for years and then came back to it recently. It’s classic Golfie.
You've gotten way faster over the years. Quality riding dude. Nice video!
Thanks! Bikes have gotten a lot better too, to be fair.
awesome riding Andrew, smashed it :)
Thanks 👍
Great trails and video
Thanks ☺️
Love the golfie!!! Also got the sicomtb mudguard on the mondraker and makes the world of difference 👍
It’s a very good mudguard, perfect fit👌
Awesome location with some great riding, really like your vids ✌❤ to the World.
Glad you enjoy it!😊
great vid and trails Andrew. Hopefully catch a ride with you at some point.
Cheers Ross, hopefully soon.
Thanks Andrew....flying !!
Cheers dude 😊

The new continentals are really good 🔥
I’ve got them on all three of my bikes now. Very good tyres 👌

Andrew,so cool!!!🤩
Thank you ☺️
Action 4 on the chin mount and hero 12 on the chest? Excellent quality from whatever one you are running on the chin even in the dark golfie
Correct, It was the Acton 4 that I basically used for the whole video. It’s really good in low light 👌
The sicomtb guards are great. I have a set on my levo.
Agreed, fits really well on the Crafty👌

Have you got same tyres front and rear?good video as normal.👍🐠
I do, front and rear are the same. Doesn’t matter too much on the e-bike.

Good to see people are noticing the camera. I’ve been using a DJI Action 4 predominantly over the past few months, and it’s been really good.
@@McTrailRider the low light performance was the givaway that it wasn’t the gopro max lens. Thanks for the reply 🙌
Wardle way is the only blue at the golfie 😋
With a red trail to access it and red sections too 😜
It’s mega till you drop out of the trees, never did the bottom section
No mabys about it fantastic place.
A fantastic place for sure, but there’s more variety in other locations.

Very true 😂 I’m running 800mm, definitely more of an issue in the Tweed Valley.
