Hello, and thanks for the great tutes. I'm looking for 'Opacity variation' in the controls, but can't find anything. Can PI emit particles with randomised opacity? Thanks
Sort of. It uses the Alpha gradient, in the particle Properties > Alpha, to draw the opacity between the life and death of the particle. If you use Life Variation with a white & black gradient, that will give a randomised opacity effect. I do see where an Opacity Variation would be useful and will add it to the feature request list.

@@BorisFXco I see, thanks!
Is it possible to import particle shapes in the free version or only in the paid one?
You can import your own shapes into both the free and paid versions!
@6:22 how are you emitting on both sides of that line. By default my line emits particles down, on only one side.
This depends on the preset you're starting with. Usually it's just the Emission Range. Set it up to 360 and it will emit in all directions.
