He looks awesome thanks 🙏 for the look at him
Thnaks for your comments and supporting the channel it’s much appreciated 👍🏻 Absolutely 💯 the figure still stands up today very well indeed. Take care of yourself and happy collecting.
Just got mine a few days ago. Nice figure. I had the 1/4 years ago as a kid. It goes well with my Rambo figures from Threezero. The head is soso. The older dx10 Terminator was a bit better. But this is a must have for the corny 80s kid.
*Word of warning: if you keep the figure in the pose at end, the right arm will rip/tear over time.*
Absolutely 💯 he was only in this pose for the purpose of this review and then it was back to a museum pose for the display. Thanks for your comments and supporting the channel, take care of yourself and happy collecting👍
I think the appeal of the figure is in the overall aesthetic and shelf presence, still got it big time for my money and I do think it is in remarkable condition for it’s age and long term storage history. The accessories are so numerous and varied really top notch by hot toys to go the extra mile and kit him out so well, as you say DX level goodies. This guy is absolutely worth a shelf in the collection, been years since I seen the film and to be honest don’t really remember that much of it definitely not one of his top tiers movies, very much of it’s time and what a massive star he was back in the day 😀thanks for another great video , enjoyed it as always and very much looking forward to whatever is up next on the channel, as usual, mind how you go👍
Out of all the “new old” figures I have reviewed Hot Toys seem to stand the test of time the best. Blade 2, tech noir terminator and now this. It’s just a shame Hot Toys don’t stray much anymore from the MCU, DCU and Star Wars big money tickets. The head sculpt may be slightly off but overall this is still a great figure today and fitting tribute to Arnies 80’s rise to fame. As always thanks for the comments and supporting the channel and happy collecting 👍🏼
Great review, a body swap with the phicen Arnold body would improve it and look even better, love military 1/6 figures, they were the foundation of the hobby, before HT went full hollywood with Star Wars Marvel Dc etc.and eclipsed the military theme, but in this commando you get the best of both genres as it were, a great soldier fig and a great movie fig as well
Thanks for that it’s much appreciated 👍🏼 absolutely 💯 this is an excellent figure and due a body swap. I’m a big fan of DID figures, the best of both worlds, military and Hollywood. Take care and happy collecting!
Hi, are u using phicen M34 or 35 body on this John matrix?
@@khongalan3868 *I've used the M34 for my custom/kitbash Matrix, in addition to a third-party Matrix head sculpt. The M35 is probably too big and wouldn't look right posed next to this officially-licenced.*
still looks awesome 🤟😀
Absolutely 💯 even now it still stands up as an excellent figure👍🏼
Commando certainly is not Oscar worthy material, well as long as there is not a category for best kill in a motion picture but it is quintessentially 1980's action. For me it established Arnie as an action movie star of the 80's, with follow ups like The Running Man, Predator, Red Heat and Total Recall.
This was a really random release for HT even at the time when they were not so deep into Star Wars / Marvel. I wish we could get some more Arnie figs. Instead of countless Iron Man varients. Fortunately not much pleather with this fig so not much to deteriorate.
Just to clarify is that the “let of some steam” kill or the buzz saw blade frisbee kill🤣
The bar was set so high by The Terminator that his next movie was always going to struggle to live up to expectation, but as you say these were establishing films for his superstar status. Absolutely 💯 it’s such a shame that Hot Toys now focus on the big money MCU, DCU and Star Wars tickets, it would be great to see more diversity like the early days. Each to their own in collecting but for me staring at a wall of 317 variants of Spider-Man is not what it’s all about! Thanks for the comments and supporting the channel, happy collecting 👍🏼
Claymore mines
Are you worried about having the right arm up? The head is better than some of 2023 Hot Toy releases.
I will be keeping him in a museum pose👌🏼
it sounds like Arnold Schwarzengger introducing his figure
I’ll take that as a compliment 🤣👍🏼
