I am working on some more REGIMENTS videos. The game is very fun and I am excited about the full release. I am glad that you enjoyed the video. Thank you for leaving a comment.

I tried it on easy to start. A few missions like that and you get it good enough to start again on normal. I think using cover. I wish the topography were more varied. I know that part of Germany is pretty flat. Maybe they should do a series of missions set in say Iran for example. Or Syria. Those were both flashpoints during this period the game is set in.

Both of those theaters would be awesome but I think the Fulda Gap appeals to a wide array of people. Plus, it is easier to build a fictional WW3 scenario in this theater.

I just bought it today, I did the tutorial and a couple of battle, i’m not an rts super fan, but this compared to warno is much better, single player missions, clean hud, yes particles of explosion are much better in warno but this is more polished, never lag at ultra on my machine, love the 80s wave ahahaha Warsaw Pact troops are so cool

They also released a new update that added 2 new operations as well as new British division, which are available in skirmish.
Warnos combat system is getting a major overhaul, so the combat should slow down quite a bit. Warno still feels too micro heavy but it also isn't a game I play regularly.

Need an update on this one with higher resolution if possible. It was good but i guess a tad outdated atm.

Timely video as I just played this yesterday and gave up after taking a beating, not understanding what the hell was going on 😁 You did go a bit fast at the beginning and missed a few things. For example, what happens if you take all of your units in the first battle (i.e. if you fill all 3 of the initial slots)? Do you get less next battle, or does it matter? If you pick a positive 'event', what is the downside? Something negative happens later? You didn't even explain the result of the event that you picked. No air support? Do retreated units automatically resupply, is that the benefit? I have a million other questions, but I need to do some reading of the manual first...

Where to start. You will only have 400 Operation Authority points to start. Each additional "section" cost 150 OP. I only purchased on. I then spent the remainder on increasing my Deployment points. This allows you to have more units on the field.
"You Don't get less" you are only able to deploy a certain amount of units. Bottom left number when in battle.
There is no downside to a positive even. You get 4 "events" Eventually you will need to pick a bad one. Manage your events wisely.
I did not have an air support option. I will review the menu. I may be blind.
Yes, units that retreat resupply and keep their battle experience. Units have ratings and upgrade via battel experience.
Pace yourself. The game has a pause button. Set the hotkey to the space bar.
The game isn't meant to be a meat grinder. If your units start to "die" green bar gets low retreat. They spawn faster.
      Battle>pause>assess>Retreat as needed>Aim artillery>unpause>battle>
Think of it like Combat Mission and not like Wargame. Play minute to minute. Units die super quick.

I purchased this after watching this review , it's like Steel division but much much better. Battles are slightly slower and more realistic. Steel division/Warno feels like it's made for hyperactive ADHD kids on meth, Regiments is at a far saner pace and gunfights take place. Thanx for the review , great game .

I need to make a few more videos on it. That may be my goal this week. The operations can be challenging but the dev has adjusted them quite a bit. We also have a road map and some features to look forward too

@@TacticsWithJoe Will look foward to future videos . I feel this game could be a great platform for other theatres such as the current ukraine russo war , add some drone units etc would make for fantastic DLCs .

@@parabot2 I am hoping that we see an increase of drone warfare in RTS games. The are a reality and it is time for devs and players to embrace them.

@@username-tv6uw The operations is where the game truly shines. Plus they offer a lot of replay ability; however, I enjoyed operations more than skirmish, so I may be a bit bias. Use the Spacebar key as it pauses the game. This will give you time to breathe and reorient yourself. You will see me pause the game and reassess a battle and attempt to change tactics.

You can't do an effective tutorial in 18 minutes. You jumped over a ton of things without explaining much. Sadly. I have to give thumbs down.
