I haven't used custom content in my builds yet, as I really love experimenting with in-game items. 😊 This coffee table from City Living has been one of my favorite objects in the game since the day I discovered that it can be used for creating NoCC custom fireplaces (I think, the first time I used it was in my Modern Luxury house). And there is no risk of fire with these fireplaces!
I also gather inspiration from the the web and I use Pinterest too, so it is very likely that for the front facade I got inspiration from the same image as you did. 😊 Some houses just look perfect for building in the game, don't they!
I always wanted to live in a house that no need to be big. Nice and neat, simple. But has everything needed. You are talented. Nice work. Thank you for sharing.
I made a "how to" about wall niches in my Futuristic Penthouse video, that's why I didn't show it here. But the idea is to scale down a window to create a hole in the wall, and then hide gaps and decorate it with various objects. I used Almost Secure Safety Window for this particular shelf. And for its sides I used the same debug objects as for the corner fireplace. The back wall is The Affirmation placed backwards (it's the shelf with bottles from wall decorations) and the shelves are made with Capped Wall Plank shelves. When placing these items the wall has to be removed first so they won't snap to it. So this built-in shelving can be made entirely in Base Game.
These are chairs! I used Lap of Luxury Modern Chair (from Base Game) for the small cushions, and Completely Armless (from Cats & Dogs) for the bigger striped and pink ones on the double bed. I learned this little trick from another simmer on Twitter, who scaled down chairs to create pillows for sofas. I thought they looked good on beds too. 😊 For sofas the chairs have to be placed backwards so that the seat is towards the back of the sofa or else sims can't sit on the sofa. But on beds they can be placed either way without routing issues. Also the City Living chair called Minimalist Style works nice for floral pillows, I used them in the master bedroom of my Futuristic Penthouse.
Thank you for the suggestion! 😊 I haven't really thought about making let's plays... I feel that I would need to find a different and unique approach first, because there are already so many amazing simmers who make excellent let's play story and challenge videos. I don't see value in making something very similar. 🤔 So I don't see myself making any in the near future.
What are you using to cover the terrain manipulation at the start of the video? I'm trying to build a house with similar leveling and I'm struggling to cover that.
The stone wall I used is a debug object called World Fence (it shows up with the cheats bb.showhiddenobjects and bb.showliveeditobjects). I placed it on the basement level first and then moved it upwards until it covered the slope on the ground level. I've used this trick before with cliff rocks too in my House in The Painting (there's also a "How To" about it at the very end of its video). I think that with this method most of the debug walls and also hedges work very well for hiding slopes.
I agree that it is not small in the sense of the new Tiny Living pack (which I didn't use here either). For a family house I consider it small as the lot itself is only 20x15. But I might have misestimated its size - it felt really small compared to all the other big builds I've done lately. 😅

Very creative, the basement just blew mind
Thank you! I've seen a few simmers use this method and I thought it was a nice workaround for the basement limitations we have.

Lovely! How do you get the little cushions on the bed please x

*I love this so much!* 😍
But...
HOW DO YOU OPEN THE DOORS LIKE THAT!!?? 🤨🤔😵
Thank you so much! 😊
For the doors to open there's an invisible sim walking through the doorways.
Simday, I hope you also start to make let's play, to have stories... ❤
Thank you for the suggestion! 😊 I haven't really thought about making let's plays... @@SimDay Thanks so much!
Thank God this one doesn’t have a pool
I didn't even consider adding a pool here (not that there was any room for it anyway). 😄
i’m dissociating

"Small" hah

make it a little slower pleasee🥺
Thank you so much for your feedback! Is the entire video too fast or are there certain parts that felt too fast? Your answer would help me a lot.
@@SimDay i think the entire parts were too fast, i can enjoy the stop motion. but overall i like it, keep up the goodwork! ❤
