Violin by Alaa M, kanun by Gökhan Saraç, vocals & arrangement by Farya Faraji. This is a reworking of an earlier arrangement I made when I first started this channel, which can be found here: ruclips.net/video/3yEPuC41PFs/видео.htmlsi=Ge9mzdHvHFaDzv9k This is a very common song in the region of the Eastern Mediterranean, with virtually ever culture there having a version in their language. The exact origin is uncertain, and while the angry nationalists in every culture ferociously claim it’s theirs, as evidenced by the documentary “Whose Song is This?”, it is most likely that it was, from the very beginning, a mixture from the cultural melting pot of the late Ottoman Empire, having emerged in the 19th century. The melody is well known for having been used in the Boney M song “Rasputin.” My arrangement features an oud, kanun, violin, santouri and accordion, all shared instruments within the Greco-Turkish musical continuum. me encanta esta versión de üsküdara, es increíble el talento que tiene farya faraji.
This musician is so interesting. His brain works brilliantly. His music beautiful. And he doesn’t take nonsense from the ignorant. He teaches wonderfully. Well done Ustaad.
Your greek is mind blowingly perfect 🤯
cinematography amazing as expected
This gives me such a lovely and peaceful vibe… thank you for your work, Farya Abi! Many love to my Geítonas and Komşu ❤
heyyy, what a nice remake!🇬🇷🇹🇷
Amazing. Please do a version of this song in all languages it is sung in (besides Turkish and Greek there are Arabic, Bulgarian, Bosnian, Macedonian, Sephardic and Serbian versions, maybe even more).
Grata !
Wow, this is so wierd, this week I have been listening to your first arrangement every day and now you release a even better version!
Greek and Turkish kittens! Oh yes!🐈 you are the best Farya
The perfect way to start my day!
Türkler ve Iunanlar barış içinde yaşasın. 🇹🇷

olmuyor işte siyasiler yüzünden halkta salak gaza geliyor
@@sessizkulak people have always been deceived, and will always have opinions, the least anyone can do is admit good music is good and we all have to live together so why not play nice?
It is better when we dont try to strangle each other
Another beautiful work Farya your voice and diction are wonderful. It is very nice to listen to our old songs again thanks to you btw greetings to the neighbor from Turkiye ❤ 😊
Faraya Faraji does it again! Superb cover, and absolutely gorgeous visuals (with so many adorable kitties)!
Voller Sehnsucht, voller Frieden, voller Harmonie! Wunderbar! 🥰
Your music is amazing and so are you. I enjoy all your posts. I look forward to them all the time. Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge with all of us!❤. Love from the USA
Amazing, first time I’ve heard that song and I instantly fell in love ❤️ awesome work

Listening to this was a magical experience, this is one of my favorite songs! The flow of the song just keeps going and going, I really liked the percussion. Bravo!

your works are always beyond my expectation . it's really honor to live in the same era.
Great photography and a very, very nice voice. Thank you for posting. DA
Iodujá raionai is the sephardic version of this song. Just saw your video about there not being originals in the modern sense of the word until recently. That video is my favorite so far.
I so much enjoyed listening to you singing in Greek, thank you Farya! Your work is amazing
Farya Faraji is on his way to make covers of each ping the Civilisation VI soundrack is based on
lyrics:
Apó xéno tópo ki ap' alarginó

Üsküdar’a Gider İken Aldı Da Bir Yağmur,
Kâtibimin Setresi Uzun Eteği Çamur.
Éhei mávra mátia kai sgourá malliá

Kâtip Uykudan Uyanmış Gözleri Mahmur.
Kâtip Benim Ben Kâtibin El Ne Karışır,

As a Chinese who is learning Greek and Turkish at the same time, I really got motivated from your song
😮 çin alfabesiyle büyüyüp iki farklı alfabeden dil öğrenmek 👏🏼

mükemmel bir karışım olmuş

ağzına sağlık
I heard this theme in a Civ5 of Civ6 game. By the way, beautiful interpretation !
Edit : Find it, Saladin's theme from Civ6, medieval era.
That was Magnificent! Mr. Farya Faraji, I know it would really not be an easy task, but I would love to hear your interpretation of how Proto-Indo-European music may have sounded like. In particular Yamnaya music.
Loved your original arrangement already, I can already tell this one is even better
Ahahaha çok güzel olmuş ... Bizi kavga ettirenleri ve siyaseti boşverin hepimiz insanız . Özü iyi olan , insan olmaya çalışan herkese selamlar 🇹🇷🇬🇷
Farya the Cat Wrangling Bard

As a person who is fed up with nationalists of all types, thank you for this video.
