Just received my sample and I like it, am sure the silage will be amazing smelling on this one.
I love the Guidance and I will wear it daily. I layered it with Epic and till date it’s still smelling on the clothes I wore to church since June.

When I think of Amouage, I think of heavy fall/winter scents. Maybe it’s just my limited testing or maybe that’s their particular style. I like the idea that you found a unique perfume, even if it’s not something I’d gravitate towards.
Also just wanted to mention I finally got myself a sample and then travel spray of Hermes Un Jardin a Cythere. Thank you for highlighting this gem, perfect for the summer weather! 💞

You described my experience with this perfume perfectly! I am reminded of my favorite Kalamata olive shortbread cookies. A little sweet, salty and spicy. It is very interesting!! I definitely think that one should sample before buying! I love it, but I’m still not sure I could pull the trigger on a full bottle.
I agree that it’s “interesting”, but at the end of the day, I don’t like the way it smells, so it’s a no for me. There is something in there that I find very unpleasant and it never goes away.

thank you for saying this! guidance just didn’t work for me. i didn’t get any of the pear, ambrette, florals or vanilla notes. all i got was a super strong and deep spicy smoky notes that made me feel a bit sick 😭
I agree. I wanted to love it but super complex and an overwhelming frankincense smell that I can’t get past. Reminds me of Sunday mass at the Catholic Church I used to go with as a child. Very middle eastern vibe. I really, really wanted to love it but it’s a no for me. :-(
I am unable to smell much of anything in this one. I blind bought, I wear it and get compliments. I must be nose blind to this one. I usually wear a perfume for myself, but people do compliment.

It is very unique and changes a lot during wear. Don’t blind buy, people either love it or hate it.

I love this perfume by Quentin Bisch. Every perfum I seem to have and loved is by him. I even have the Delina, Chloe Nomade which I didn’t know it was by him. Perfumery 🤴. I love me a nice rich silage.

I love this shit! I smelled it on a client and couldn't get enough. I asked what she was wearing and had to buy one. Pricey but I couldnt get the smell out of my head. It's bold without over powering and sweet with a slight floweral sent that seems to be followed by a gentle musk
I love how varied the reviews and description of this are. I've been working away on this. First try I actively disliked it. Second try I liked it better but found it had a je ne sais pas quoi note that irritated me, almost nauseating. I had the blotter sitting my bed and I could smell it for days and had to throw it out....BUT then I ordered a decant and tried again and now I love it. To me it smells like the hot wood of a sauna in the best, most comforting way. Addictive. Bracing myself to drop $600 dollarydoos on a FB.

I love it from opening to dry down!! It is interesting, in a beautiful way!! Luckily I read a lot of bad reviews before i smelled it and it blew away my bad expectations lol 😂!! I get creamy rose, sandalwood and fruity pear and apricot with that spicy note and incense - keeps it gorgeous and not a basic fruity floral. I also love the nutty hazelnut mixed in.

It took me a couple tries but I’m in love now. I also get compliments from many strangers. Interestingly, my husband doesn’t love it. I’d say it’s a masterpiece. This and baccarat extrait are my biggest compliment getters.

Sometimes new fragrances need a little time for our noses to get used to it. I've definitely found that in scents that are new & unique to my nose.

Does the bottom of your guidance bottle start with G or an H? They reformulated it recently and I’m curious to know what version you have
I blind bought this fragrance and these is something in it I just cannot get past. Bizarre is the right word. My boyfriend however, lovesssss it so I wear it when we go out. I’ve never received so many compliments on a perfume! My faves are Material woman, lilac love and overture woman ❤

I looooove Guidance! I got a 2 mL sample & after the first wear, I was AMAZED at the sillage & even more so at the longevity. My story re : longevity…. I live on a farm & I have a sweatshirt I hang up in my mudroom that I only wear to go do my evening chores. I wear it for maybe 15-20 mins each day & if I don’t get it dirty, I’ll hang it back up & wear it for a week or so before washing it.🤷🏻♀️ So, I tested Guidance one day. In the morning, I put ONE spray on my wrist & then did the unthinkable - I rubbed my two wrists together to transfer it to the other wrist.😳😱 lol It was strong on me all day long. At the end of the day, I put on my sweatshirt & did chores. Hung my sweatshirt back up. The next day, I didn’t put on any perfume (😱)…but I wore the sweatshirt again that evening to do chores. I could still smell it on the sleeves from the very brief wear the night before.😳 When I took the sweatshirt off, the sweatshirt had transferred the scent back onto my arms & I could smell it on myself the rest of the evening! I wanted to see how long that would go on…& that transfer of scent back onto my arms from the sweatshirt happened every day for a week!!!😮😮😮

Me too! I’m obsessed. The scent is so unique. Especially paired with the Native Jasmine and Cedar deodorant. I don’t know if it’s because I’m an earth sign or what, I’m so in love with this scent and thinking of making this my signature scent!

I personally hate smoke in perfume. I own a full bottle and I definitely do NOT get smoke at all 🤔. I’m happy I don’t smell smoke cuz I wouldn’t own it. Best part of this fragrance is the scent trail❤️.
I am not into Guidance! Although it is extremely potent. I just got a 1 ml from Lucky Scent and it still smells inside the drawer I keep it in, although there are other samples in there. It's a bizarre smell for me. I am wearing Lilac Love today instead:-)

Hello, Madame Delicious Delights :) I am ready for a full bottle, not a blind buy but it is unique and so special, even comforting. I am hunting for a more affordable price or a partial but again, this could be my first ever Amouage considering that the fragrance lives in such a splendid bottle.
I also wish to buy Sunshine (will get the Dua inspiration first).

I’ve been wearing Guidance for over a week now. It’s a fruity, woody very complex scent. It’s beautiful…. For a candle 😬. Don’t get me wrong the scent is phenomenal. But I think it better suited as a candle or a room spray. I personally wouldn’t want to smell like this.
I get this too! The dry down reminds me a lot of sandalwood candle
I tried this scent and didn't care too much about it. After I sprayed it in the store, I immediately got a compliment from another customer, but it still was not my cup of tea. I wouldn't buy it unless I found it on a major sale. It just isn't worth the price point.
I wish I had got the 100ml but I was too scared to splurged over £300 for a fragrance I would’ve hated lol
I really wanted to add this beautiful bottle to my collection, but I just can't love it. There's something really odd about it... The woodiness is kind of like old wood or something, I'm not sure. I will conserve my travel size for next Fall/Winter.
I don't know but this burnt, candle-ish , rubbery smell is what is registering in my nose. I get a rose towards the very dry down

I get compliments, but I'm anosmic the the scent myself. Never worn a perfume that makes everyone happy but me. Bummer.
