partly because he has a modern mouthpiece & reed setup on it so it’s not how it would sound in the 1900s, it probably still sounded beautiful just with a different style
Holy crap, is that an F Bari?! I'd only heard of the F Mezzo being made and always figured they skipped the bari for the orchestral saxes for some reason
Show more of the older sax, I think I may have a similar one. I date it to I think 1889. Boosey (not Boosey Hawkes) let’s compare notes, but I’m unsure how.
it looks like the sax thats always been a myth: the f bari. ive been scouring the internet for a while for any solid clue of its existance and have found nothing. wow
I like antique instruments because they usually sound brighter. This is true of many brass instruments as well. Our modern concept of “warmth” is overrated.
What you really just said is that you think your specific taste is better than your theoretical idea of everyone else in the world's taste (as if it's homogeneous) -- a completely useless, unsupported declarative fantasy. Lemme guess, you also hate Thelonious Monk.
It sounds way better than I expected.
it looks like an F- bari (bass) probably by a french manufacturer
Well done
@@AndrewHadroNo way! You sure it's not a high pitch european bari? If that's a real F bari though, that's awesome.
Sounds beautiful actually

Sounds way better than my Mark 6 bari.
The mouthpiece/reed sounds pretty modern.
Maybe cause he put a modern reed and mouthpiece on it?
@@brycesbackingtracksdang bro who made you mad
@@TheMusicMan49who said he was mad he was just telling him
That sounds better than the horn my school has and the one my school has is like 30yrs
Sounds new!!
Better for lead playing than traditional bari. Would not have guessed how nice it sounds.
Or just a conn jazz Bari, that’s what I have, the bell is a little shorter and it doesn’t play as low but it is still a great instrument 🎷
With what i know, it goes down to Low B instead of Low Bb
Killer tone
Fr
Sounds very good!
Play moanin’ on it!🎷🎷🎷
Good job keeping it in good condition man sounds so smooth. Like love was put into making it. Your a great player also
Sound absolutely gorgeous
Saludos hermano desde República Dominicana
Can we see more videos about that Last bari🎷
Oh dear god, I want it.
it's a bari sax in the key of F!
Adolphe Sax's Baritone from the 1800's
I wish I could get one.. not many were made that are still around. Their prices are astronomical.
You have some mad skills 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Holy crap, is that an F Bari?! I'd only heard of the F Mezzo being made and always figured they skipped the bari for the orchestral saxes for some reason
A C melody bari? It has the colour like something i saw called ACUSTIC.
Can you play mingus moanin with the 1905 bari sax???
Sounds more of a F sharp bari sax and the looks of it made by a french manufacturer
I have a horn just like this
when are we getting videos on the sneak peek weird bari?
just realized i never uploaded the video! Adding it now..

I have thinked it was an Ophicleide!!!
Is that black one a low b baritone sax???
Used mirror image mode on the cellphone, it looks left-handed.
What are the drawbacks of this sax?

😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
It sounds really bright to me. Is that your sax or mouthpiece/reed?
Could just be my iPad screwing with the sound though
Most likely the reed and mouthpiece, they have more to do with the sound than the actual sax does.
how do u empty the spit on that bari cuz i dont see the lil hole for that lmao
Pre-spit valve i'm afraid...
Early Conn?
not a Conn!
Is that an rmi? Their b-flat?
Bass Saxophone
Sounds something from the Three Stooges or Popeye cartoon sound track.
Bass sax
a key?
wait so is it a woodwind or brass instrument
Categorized as woodwind though made out of brass
"woodwind" is a historical term for reed reed instruments, "brass" is a historical term for lipreed instruments

Bari sax in F
Was that an F baritone?
