Kiwi mate.. tough smart resourceful bastards. Apart from the aversion to under arm bowling and the funky accent they are bloody fine people that just love to move to Australia ..I’m just taking the Piss !! Sorry Marty had to go there lol
I was gonna say something similar, if not smoking, then rolling the next one with hands like ox hide. Reminded me of all the old "cockys" aka farmers when I was growing up in the 80s her in OZ. I found myself looking to see if he was wearing one of those wristwatches with the leather cover. It would have completed the picture :)
After the war, the U.S. Forest Service used those little crawlers for fighting forest fires. They would parachute them in along with the smoke jumpers to cut fire trails. I have a friend who has a similar version named Agritrac. Sure would like to see video of the restoration!
Mike Edridge. Best boss I’ve ever had, the amount of knowledge Mike has about machinery and earthworks and a lot of other things is unreal! Gave me my start in Earthmoving. I owe a lot to Malcolm & Mike. Good to see him still ticking away with his projects.
I knew it! This tough old bastard is always in the thick of it, every time Marty films a heavy equipment segment. Crazy how much he knows about each piece of equipment spanning over the years. Last of a dying breed...
I would have enjoyed an introduction to your friend, even a voice-over. He's handy and I appreciated how he actually held his breath when doing the fine work. This is good stuff.
Interesting video. Although I vote for more videos where you drag home a broken piece of equipment and make it useful. Your unique talent of making practical repairs is never tiring to watch and learn from.
Just heard from Wellington Daily News, that your buddy has not removed that tailor made cigarette in 3 years. Some say it is stapled on there. Your a good friend MartyT !!
It's 5 AM in Minnesota USA and you've already got close to 40,000 views. Can you imagine how much enjoyment you've brought the world since you started putting videos op on RUclips? Thanks for everything Marty, and yes, if you have time I think there are a LOT of people that would love to see that dozer get worked on. Best wishes to you and yours from all around the world.
Heck Yeah, I want to see the WW2 Dozer restored - history type RESTORATION. It just doesn’t get any better than that. Your channel keeps getting “mo betta”.
Every manufacturer wants proprietary parts because they make more money selling parts than selling the machine. We had a machine with Parker joysticks in it that the dealer wanted $2,000 for. I contacted Parker directly. I was told they couldn't sell that part number because it was proprietary but he told me they could spec out one exactly the same and give it a different part number. It worked out well because we wanted a joystick with finer control in the center and more normal when moved farther from the center. They built them for us and we purchased them for $250 each instead of $2000 each.
Cor Blimey guv'nor the old man was very methodical and you were suuuuper helpful. I like him testing it before bolting it in place. Nicely played gentlemen!
I'd certainly enjoy seeing the restoration. I am biased though, since I have the same airdrop dozer in the garage, maybe slightly better shape but similar. Did get it to run, but that's where I stopped.
Absolutely film the restoration please Marty. Even if you can’t be there all the time, maybe set up a camera or 2 covering the area where the dozer will be. Loved watching Brownie work on the swing motor. Nothing better than watching knowledgeable & experienced people do their work. I have no doubt the brothers will be fascinating to watch & listen to them work. Don’t take this the wrong way Brownie & mike, but Marty may have to show you how to use the cameras when he’s not around 🫢🫢🫢😂
Yes definitely film the restoration of the Clarke dozer. I helped restore two of these for the Imperial War Museum in England. They are both static exhibits, one in London and one in the American Air Museum at Duxford. They were too far gone to make them into runners within the available budget. We were able to get a new copy of the mechanical handbook for the dozers, which was very useful for refabricating the thin metal work, such as the ballast boxes. Good luck with the project.😀🇬🇧
Yes definitely would enjoy watching the restoration of that equipment it truly would be amazing I've never even seen or heard of one of those I'm a lover of all things in mechanical and those things check all the boxes it's amazing because you could see everything and how it works pretty straightforward period
Cool about the Clark Dozer , would love to have one , in a more complete state of course . Hope you will be successful in restoring it .YES please film it
Lovely job, old mate ought to lay off the darts if he wants to be around long enough to see that dozer run! Film the restoration that would be fun to see
lol the old timers are awesome right down to the old wooly sweater rollie pack in the top pocket and an old bent up one in the yap while working .. awesome
For me there's nothing more interesting, entertaining or informative than watching someone skilled fixing something. That's what brought me to your channel Marty. This chap was a great watch, he had the whole job sussed, few words just getting on with it. Reminds me of so many people I have known, incl pouch of tobacco, roll up ever present, unlit due to all that brake clean vapour 😁
Hope all is well with you and your family Marty. I look forward to each video. I would love for more frequent and longer videos if you found it to be possible. I could watch your videos for hours!
I've bought several things from Friday parts and have always been happy with them. Just put a starter and alternator on a Kubota diesel in a sweeper this week from them.
You asked whether you should film The restoration? I would give you an unqualified yes! That is an amazing little Dozer I've been looking for a small machine like that for years and either they think they're diamonds or they're just so far gone that they're not feasibly fixable. As always Marty enjoy your videos and I look forward to when you put the next one out. Best regards Bob from Virginia USA
Yes this looks interesting 🤔. Thanks for the videos with the old diggers Marty. I've been enjoying your content for quite a few years. From Northern California 🇺🇸 USA.
In a world where kids are battling to decide what pronoun to go by, I bloody loved watching this old timer fix a digger with a durry hanging off his lip the whole time. Men like him make the world go round.
Yes Marty, definitely film the restoration please!
A series on the restoration would be great 👍
Great idea, I concur with comments to filming the restoration 👍
It'll take several video's - assuming it's actually salvageable.
Absolutely yes
Absolutely! Love old iron being brought back to life
I always enjoy Marty's repair videos. No problem ever seems insummountable.
The man is unstoppable.
Kiwi mate.. tough smart resourceful bastards. Apart from the aversion to under arm bowling and the funky accent they are bloody fine people that just love to move to Australia ..I’m just taking the Piss !!
Sorry Marty had to go there lol
Rollies in the top pocket, drenched in brake cleaner. What a classic - you don't see as many blokes like this around as you used to.
Can punch more down when the papers are laced with brake cleaner haha
That's what cigarettes and break cleaner will do...
Unfortunately 😕
I was gonna say something similar, if not smoking, then rolling the next one with hands like ox hide.
Reminded me of all the old "cockys" aka farmers when I was growing up in the 80s her in OZ.
I found myself looking to see if he was wearing one of those wristwatches with the leather cover. It would have completed the picture :)
Could have my Kiwi dairy former grand dad..rolly still hanging on his lip, while rolling the next with 24-D or god only knows what else on his hands..
After the war, the U.S. Forest Service used those little crawlers for fighting forest fires. They would parachute them in along with the smoke jumpers to cut fire trails. I have a friend who has a similar version named Agritrac. Sure would like to see video of the restoration!
Don’t think Marty does restorations, his thing Is to get it going and use it for every day work.
Mike Edridge. Best boss I’ve ever had, the amount of knowledge Mike has about machinery and earthworks and a lot of other things is unreal! Gave me my start in Earthmoving. I owe a lot to Malcolm & Mike. Good to see him still ticking away with his projects.

Got to love a guy with a Cig always hanging from a lip spraying a solvent! Real old school and a damn good mechanic.
I would have enjoyed an introduction to your friend, even a voice-over. He's handy and I appreciated how he actually held his breath when doing the fine work. This is good stuff.
It might have something to do with him having cigarette all the time in his mouth
Yep, real old school here..... durrie in the mouth, gentle as she goes
Gentle like when he hammered that motor into the machine :D
Interesting video. Although I vote for more videos where you drag home a broken piece of equipment and make it useful. Your unique talent of making practical repairs is never tiring to watch and learn from.
Love these old boys getting some shine. Get him storytelling if you can. Reminds me of my younger days.
Love your style bro. Keeping old school practical alive and kicking. A video on the dozer is essential in my opinion. Look forward to seeing it.
Marty you are the ultimate " I know a bloke " thanks great video as are they all .
Your m8 is one hell of a good mechanic, I can not wait to see them working on that crawler from WWII
I like the little bit of smoke the gentleman had while assembling the parts. Even the old blokes enjoyed a little something nice!
Just heard from Wellington Daily News, that your buddy has not removed that tailor made cigarette in 3 years. Some say it is stapled on there. Your a good friend MartyT !!

Cor Blimey guv'nor the old man was very methodical and you were suuuuper helpful. I like him testing it before bolting it in place. Nicely played gentlemen!
YES to the restoration Mr T.
I'd certainly enjoy seeing the restoration. I am biased though, since I have the same airdrop dozer in the garage, maybe slightly better shape but similar. Did get it to run, but that's where I stopped.

With chums like that you are truly blessed. Not seen a rollup or twofor in the UK for years. Hope you are no longer waterlogged. Best wishes from UK
Friday parts has done some fantastic work for us in the heavy equipment industry.
I used to work in a shop where I rebuilt those motors every day. All day. Loved how simple they were to work on
Works just fine for me. Whatever you film, I'll be there watching wishing I could see more vids from you.
I love watching people restoring
old Stuff , you must feel something
when you see it working & running
fills you with pride 😳
Drum blue 30 and Scorpio girls...kiwianas finest! Thanks Marty 😁
You know the old man is a bad ass when he is smoking a J while listening to hard rock and working with a multi-ton press!!!! Baller baby baller!!!!
It's always a good day when a Marty T video drops
A very interesting project. Glad you put this video on. Thank you for sharing. Hopefully you will film this project from beginning to finish.
Love watching clever Kiwis fixing things. PLEASE film the restoration!! 😁🤣
Definitely film it Marty, gotta love those old boys, rough and tough as hell but so careful and precise with mechanics.

Did you catch up to the vid marty made re the Clarke dozer?
A couple of stills of it working might give the exhibit some "life" experience?
Yes. Film the restoration! Looks like fun!
These kubota diggers are renowned for stuffing this part up. A mates one did it before 1600hrs and the local hire company replaced it 3 times
Yes definitely would enjoy watching the restoration of that equipment it truly would be amazing I've never even seen or heard of one of those I'm a lover of all things in mechanical and those things check all the boxes it's amazing because you could see everything and how it works pretty straightforward period

The restauration will be a major project. I'll wait for the videos.
Would love to see this little beauty being restored, keep up the good work mate.
I think it would be great to watch the restoration of the old bulldozer, cheers
Wow great way to save $7500. Glad to see Marty back, hope it's been work that's kept you busy and not sickness or bad-news

Yes please, your show is my favorite! Watching from Cheyenne, Wyoming USA.
I would say yes because the restoration of something that old would be a treasure for anyone
Nice job 👍. I thought old mate Brownie there was Barry Crump there for a minute.
Now that will defintely be a series worth watching. I'll be keeping my eye out
Yes to the restoration, and thanks for this interesting rebuild. Cheers from Germany.
He repaired that like he's done it a million times over. Love to see it
I'd love to see a resto video on the bulldozer! Also, I kept thinking Brownie sounded just like Barry Crump :)
Yes please would love to see some of the restoration of the dozer.
Marty, you can make changing the oil interesting to watch, Great job!
Yes, the restoration would be interesting to watch!!!
I've bought several things from Friday parts and have always been happy with them. Just put a starter and alternator on a Kubota diesel in a sweeper this week from them.
Man, you are the friend he needed !!!!
I think I see a pressure relief valve on the hydraulic motor. I would adjust it so that the unit can barely swing. Saves on the coupler shaft.
Definitely film the restoration. Your videos are a relaxing time after a hectic day.
Super interesting. Looking forward to the WW2 dozer. Seabees!
Congrats Guy's on getting the new Slew Motor put-in and working great.. good job guy's..
Loving the heavy metal in the background 🤘
Yes! Definitely film the restoration! It's such a unique machine
Any video of people with common sense fixing things is worthwhile!
3am could not sleep so this was a nice surprise to find a Marty video to watch… be an interesting restoration
Film it Marty, it really is amazing. How things from all different countries can find homes in other places. Really amazing to think about.
please film it if you can I love seeing really old equipment brought back to life at any rate I look forward to every video you post.
The old boy knew what he was on about, nice work too.
You asked whether you should film The restoration? I would give you an unqualified yes! There I am watching Marty T videos when I suddenly see which project Browny and I are working on next! I’m looking forward to that video.

Cheers from Sweden,, 🍻😎👍👍
I'd love to see the restoration on that crawler!
Yes please Marty. Love to see old machinery back doing what it is supposed to do and not rusting away. 😊
Yes to the restoration video on the dozier 👍
That gentleman has done that job once or twice in his life by the looks of it. Yes film the restoration for sure.
Yes, a series showing the restoration would be highly appreciated
Dudes a straight up and down, no bs sorta guy. Love it
I think you need to whack it a few times with a rusty chain. It doesn't have the Mr. T patina. (The Kubota of course, the dozer takes center shelf)
Hi Marty, great video on the pump and a video on getting the mini dozer going TWO WORDS YES PLEASE. Looking forward to that.
Thanks for the vid. As for recording the old blokes .. Yes Please! This old knowledge will pass away unless recorded! Jim Bell (Australia)
That will be very interesting, it will look beautiful when it's finished
Haven't seen Brownie for a number of years. New him back in the Nelson Aeroclub days. Quite the Cub pilot.
That's a beauty of an old bearing press!
Old model kiwi..
Nice cost effective save. There are a lot of parts to that hydraulic motor.
