As a native texan, I gotta say how true this is to the experience. In the first half, everyone talking mess in english about how the Cowboys are gonna roll the other team, by the middle of the 3rd quarter, everyone is pissed off and almost exclusively cursing out the Cowboys in spanish.
I've been a 9ers fan since 89 so I can relate to the ups and downs. It's even more frustrating when you know your team can perform better than they're playing. I just decided to lower my expectations and even try not to have any. That way, if they lose, I'm not disappointed or not as disappointed.
As a Cardinals fan since they moved to the Valley I learned from the start that's the best way to stay mentally healthy: lower your expectations & then when good stuff happens you're pleasantly surprised. It's a good philosophy for the rest of your life as well.
