Great stories. I was watching it in the middle of the night in Scotland 🏴. I’ve been a fan since Montana days, back then in the U.K. we got a one hour highlight package per week covering the entire NFL … can’t believe how great the content is these days!!!
My son was angry, and I was mad as hell. There were Lions fans siting around us, and they were happy as can be talking all kinds of s$%t. Niners fans around us were quiet and sad. I just telling my son we just got to score, then make a stop. Score again and its game on. When we scored the crowd erupted and every time, we came up with a big stop on 3rd down it was pure joy. The rest is history. Great Game and loved the fireworks!!! My son will never forget that moment.
I remember telling my homie as long as it stays 24-7 we still got a chance right before halftime. I already knew defense would adjust in the 2nd half we just needed a spark on offense to get it going.
My brother who has been a Lions fan since we were young ( Barry Sanders) drove 238 miles to watch the game with me. He said at the half that he believed the Niners were going to win. 😮
You are right...my sister and I were at the game too...when Journey played Don't Stop Believing...the vibe changed!!!!!! It was an absolutely gorgeous day at Levi's in Jan!! My sister wanted to leave at halftime..she was so depressed....but I didn't...it felt like we still had a chance..and if not I was going to enjoy the heck out of that day anyway!
To me, Deebo’s energy and urgency on that first drive (and to start the 2nd drive) got me excited that things were about to turn. And then that fumble by the Lions rookie and they were off to the races. Too bad they gave up that TD at the end to make it look close. Otherwise, it was a completely dominant performance in the 2nd half against a good, young, confident team.
kyle was me too i was like "we cannot go out like this after this season we just had" and i knew they could comeback but it was a long shot but they really did it and im so glad . if our season ended that way , id be way more depressed than losing the SB
. Kudos to the entire team for that exciting win. Brock was fantastic in the second half. The defense made their adjustments and didn't let the Lions score anymore. Even though the Chiefs won the SB, I do believe that the niners are the best team in the NFL........
I was at the game, grateful to say I never doubted the niners ability to comeback in the second half. Yes the niners had a few lucky plays go their way but that's why you bust your ass so that things tend to favor you.
That was the only thing that a Champion like Joe Montana can think in that situation, because no matter how bad it is, a Champion will never give up, and he will never give up on his team as well. You will never hear Joe Montana roll over on the ground like a dog and give up. That is just not in his Championships DNA.
I was watching the Niners vs Lions NFC championship game at the official Niners watch party in San Jose. At half-time most fans were distraught or quiet but the DJ playing music had a lot dancing, and i was at the bar I recorded a video for instagram saying “we need to stop the run, the Lions are doing their thing but it ain’t over yet. Come on! We out here!”, i had a bunch of other teams fans talking smack to me during the first half so i had my phone on Do Not Disturb. Lol Niners came back to win and it was the sweetest comeback ever. The three Lions fans at the watch party that were being loud earlier in the game, completely disappeared around the 4th quarter 😂
I saw the game and on my Facebook I knew calling the win was just a mad man response. I put out a question like… you think we are done? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I had faith in our talent.
Many of us did. I said it was going to be revenge for 1957, when the 49ers were beating the Lions at half time and choked. Also, the Lions are not that good. Our 49ers were just not playing well. Never lost faith in that game or Green Bay, or the Super Bowl through to the final play.
I threw a party here at home with family.. all 49ers fans except for 1 lions fan. My family thought I was losing it because I was smiling and not worried at all.. the one lions fan kept mocking us and I just laught and said to him. I hope you keep that energy in the second half.. sure enough our boys pulled through.
It felt like Phillie 2.0 we got unraveled and couldnt stop a young explosive team. Then as the 2nd half starts I thought 1 play at a time and boom made out to be an awesome game.

Then I started hearing the stadium roar and was like “yea no we not winning this game”. I was being a negative Nancy. Then I came back to me seat and holy shit I witnessed the greatest second half I’ve ever seen in my life play out. 😮
I always think if they could score whatever in 30 minutes we can do it too plus a little more. A turnover or stop on fourth down can turn around any game.
As a lions fan I was watching that game at half time thinking are we about to beat the 49ers as badly as the packers beat the cowboys . And a team more experienced in playoff football probably dose . But like the fans I think they were already lost sight of what was on their plate in front of them .and the 49ers to their credit didn’t lose sight of what was on their plate . And stayed calm and composed . And I was impressed with how well they were able to match offense to offense with the 49ers . And they still gave themselves a chance to get the ball back with the Jameson Williams Touchdown in the back of the end zone . And if the had recovered the onside kick who knows . And the NFC is going to be really exciting next year as to who goes to the superbowl. The packers, lions ,49ers and eagles if their defense dosent sell them … maybe the cowboys too lol 😂

Man it's so damn annoying that our team should be walking away with 2 Super Bowls in a 4 year span but Kyle some how always decides that running the ball in big moments isn't the right call so rather throw the ball. Both damn super bowls Niners Defense 90% of the game was making Mahomes look below average but instead of running the ball more his derp ass though hey lets let Jimmy G throw the ball nonstop or hey lets have Brock throw the ball 40 times instead of using our OPOTY.
