Thank you for posting these over the years. My daughter turned 5 not too long ago, and I discovered this channel when she was a newborn. When we would put my daughter to sleep, I would put my headphones on and listen to your channel to survive/escape/decompress. I specifically remember when the first Waves came out... it's crazy that 5 years has already passed... time flies.
I met my fiancé in university five years ago, before COVID, and we used to snooze together in her accommodation to the original Waves. Some kind of magic that the original mix has permeated the lives of so many. I hope the sequel does just the same.

Waves Vol. 1 is what introduced me to the synthwave/chillwave world. Graduated high school in 2019 and all night while I drove around my radio would only play either Waves or Cybercity. Just cruising around alone at night with these tracks brought me some sort of magical peace. Ever since finding that first video years ago I've always come back time and time again. If anyone else is familiar with the deep feelings of wanting to be transported to the kind of place often depicted by synthwave I believe it was called anemoia, which is a sense of longing for a time or place you've never been to or experienced. For a while I believed that's what i was feeling. But I now think this music really does transport me to a dream state, where everything else just kinda fades away and the only thing that matters is the music. These tracks will always hold a place in my heart and my mind and for that phenomenal job to all the artists for creating these pieces and to Odysseus for bringing them all together. 🌃🌌🩵🫡
I see this genre as a musical ambassador of the Virtual, which is about possibility. I think it's the most wholesome take on pure synth. After all, should we not build infinite fantasies beyond the sky?

Like many others, Waves was the first mix of yours I ever found, and it's how I got introduced to your stuff. I was pleasantly surprised to see a sequel! Feels oddly nostalgic.
Probably a stretch - but does anyone remember the city night drive lofi playlist that had similar sounding music with the video being a closeup of a girl driving in a city at night? It got taken down sometime a few months back but the songs from that playlist and the aesthetic of the video just made it so good.
I must have listened to Waves Vol 1 every day for about 3 months straight. It was the perfect soundtrack to my hardest part in my work day that helped me get through! Thanks @Odysseus for releasing Vol 2.
