Reminds me of my current situation. I bought a 94 b150 for 2k 2 years ago. So far, I've spent nearly 10k rebuilding and replacing the whole thing. It runs like a dream now. Love it!

That's dedication! You'll get a lot of miles out of that!

@fourthgear8199 yup! I do fishing trips from Dallas to Galveston twice a month. Zero issues.

Not that I'm lazy. I just Don't want to do anything in regards to my rig.
    I'll hire it done.

I agree, that's why I opted to have it done, sometimes peace of mind especially when traveling means having a professional do it, especially on a vehicle I just acquired and you don't know its condition.

Very informative. I liked your delivery and full explanation. I would end up doing what you ended up doing probably to the tee. I am planning to get a used Toyota camper such as yours and trying to do my homework ahead of time.

Thank you so much for watching; hope you get a great camper. Once sorted, they're super reliable, in my experience!

I have a 1988 Chevy G30 6.2 Diesel ex US Air Force truck with under 30K miles on it that I want to use for camping. I've put about 10K into it ! I'm sometimes sorry I ever touched it 😮

Yes, it can be daunting but if you compare the price of a newer RV it's hard to get into anything for less than $75K and all of a sudden spending $10-$15K on something doesn't seem so bad. RV'ing and vanlife are expensive habits, sad to say! Good luck with your rig, it sounds like it'll be amazing!

Alot of money can be saved by going to junk yards for certain things

Agreed! I actually did source a carbon reservoir for it from a junkyard but oh man most of the Toyota trucks I have found have been picked clean, so I turn to Craigslist and eBay for other stuff.
