Hello. I enjoyed watching your video alot. We used to have a john Deere 4010 tractor and John Deere 4320 tractor. We did the same thing as you did to change the pto shafts from 540 to 1000

Never saw it done till now but I like tractors so it’s interesting how you use vice grips because you can hold it but you like you said it’s got too seat down in there..
Try a pair of fencing pliers.

Going on 90 minutes and we’ve used every cuss word known to homosapians. The FN shaft just isn’t going in deep enough. The width is perfect. I thought that’s all that matters!
On some tractors there's a little bushing that comes off with one of the shafts I don't know why it's on there but yours might have stuck inside the tractor get you a wire run it all the way in and see if you can fish out that bushing then your shaft should go all the way in.
