hectic reacts hearing steve harris lost in vegas eddie
I'm simple guy: I see Alex drop a new metal reaction, i gotta drop what i'm doing.
Amen
hell yea
Or do fear of the dark (live rock in rio) that's a classic one too. You'll be mindblown
D00mnoodle / Sergeant Purge was thinking The same!
Totally agreed.... alex should do it
Please please please. Best version and the greatest Iron Maiden song, in my humble opinion.
Yes. This song. This version.. . Ill hang up and listen.
Totally agree!!!
Clive Burr passed away in 2013 -- 5 days after his 56th birthday from MS. Maiden continued to support him unto his death through fundraisers and donating to his family.
He was an amazing and restless drummer, it sucks so much he died so young but at least he lived days of absolute glory :(:)
"That's what the original type of metal should be like". Iron Maiden is widely considered to be one of the original three progenitors of metal (along with Black Sabbath and Judas Priest), so you're 100% correct.
Deep purple
@@alfonsogrady Is rock.
@mark tamayo
He'd probably be fourth so it doesn't count.
Led zeppelin
Motorhead
Im glad you are doing some maiden but you need to do Iron Maiden - Fear of The Dark Live in rock in rio 2001!!
And i dont mind you reacting to the same bands, cus they are they best bands :D
And Hallowed be thy Name, from the number of the beast tour. 2006 i think.
They are the best bands. And iron maiden is the best of those best bands! (Love judas priest and black sabbath too)
D00mnoodle / Sergeant Purge can’t argue with that
Was in Roskilde in 2001 and Maiden was there and did just absolutely incredible. Three songs in they stopped and Dickinson was just speaking to the crowd with the pamphlet in his hand explaining that the arrangers had been great to them, but they had insulted them badly with this "Iron Maiden might play some new songs from their new album Brave New World. Well fuck em! We're gonna play everything we got!" And then they did just that. I lasted until about 3AM after having gotten up at seven that morning, then I had to get back to my tent, and there were like 8 people (out of the initial 10k+) left when I had to throw in the towel, and I heard them playing as I lay in my sleeping bag for probably another couple of hours before I fell asleep. Insane guys, legendary.
Unfortunately my memories are a bit tainted regarding that festival, given the day after or so on the Pearl Jam concert 9 people died from being trampled and squeezed to death by the crowd, which made me just freak out, pack up my shit and skip the last day of the festival trying to get home. Really glad the Maiden concert was before that.
@Daniel Nilsson Honestly this version is INSANE!!! He should :)
Iron Maiden has so many amazing songs, definitely keep reacting to them! I'd recommend:
Aces High
Wrathchild
Phantom of the Opera
Wasted Years
Stranger in a Strange Land
Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Fear of the Dark
Spectre 58
The truth is you could do a list of 100 tracks and they'd all be worth reacting to!
And Number of the Beast- it was one of my favourite songs as a kid
And that is why Bruce ended up with the nickname of ‘Air Raid Siren’ 😂
Easily the greatest metal vocalist, absolute GOAT.
Alive, yes
@@EdoSynysterfan I'm guessing Dio is your favorite one
@@diegootero7277 You guess right
To much competition to say that one is the best, though he is amazing.
I don't know man... Rob Halford ticks a lot of boxes
Try Black Sabbath. With the song "Black Sabbath". From the record "Black Sabbath". Not bad for a debut - and imagine, you're in your average end-60's hippie bar, listening to all that soft, sweet psychedelica, and suddenly this... I remember it well...
They're Debut was actually with the single Paranoid, which he has reacted to already. And Paranoid was their first album/Debut Album.
@@Alianbow Black Sabbath was their first album
Alex my man, you gotta do Fear Of the Dark from Iron Maiden live from Rock In Rio. It'll be a goosebump monster!
Yeess!
FEAR OF THE *DUCK*
Yeah and dance with the death live in chile i belive
Best live Iron Maiden song.
The more requests the higher the odds that we get what we want ;)
Bruce Dickinson isn't nicknamed "Air Raid Siren" for nothing ;)
Originally calling Bruce an Air Raid Siren was not intended as a good thing when it was first conceived...
When Bruce joined the band before the Number of the Beast Album the record label and management company got a load of angry letters from fans who where unhappy that Paul Di'Anno was replaced, Rod Smallwood was going through the letters and noticed that one of them described Bruce as sounding like a 'Human Air Raid Siren'.
He thought that's not a bad thing, thats a good thing...... and so the nickname was born.....
"Super catchy amazing metal songs about some historical events" sounds to me like Sabaton would be right up your alley
Bismark! And the drummer is married to Floor from Nightwish I believe.
Alex I just wanted to tell you that your positivity is greatly appreciated and important in my life right now. I`m suffering from depression and sometimes the only laughs and smiles I get in a day come directly from you. Thank you so ,much for what you do. I`m also the world`s biggest Metallica fan so your reaction videos have been an awesome part of my day. Take care and good luck at law school!
Iron Maiden - Caught Somewhere In Time
This is for when you want to hear guitar sounds from 2186 instead of 1986.
Otherwise Fear of the Dark live from Rock in Rio :)
I normally hate reaction channels cause they're so boring and they Never pause the video and talk to their audience. They always seem so forced and robotic on camera. However Alex is so different, he talks to the camera and pauses the videos. He also has a bubbly personality that people can relate, another plus side is that he's a Rockets supporter as well. 🚀
i love this comment
Best comment ever and so true!
Don't want to be a party pooper but i hate it when they pause the song. I never pause my music either. But i guess it comes included with reaction videos...
@@d00mnoodle the thing with most reaction videos is that they don't offer anything or any input to the video and may as well just shut the camera off and watch the video in their own time. So it's a sort of breath of fresh air that Alex is actually communicating with his fans.
Lanky, you like the pauses ? Why can’t he make comments, no pauses, but yet not ruin the music with blah, blah, blah ?!
fan since 1982 , up the irons !!
hell yea! Maiden England
Rime of the Ancient Mariner - Iron Maiden
Live after death version
From Live After Death!!! It's the best version. imo
WHILE SHE SLEEPS - SILENCE SPEAKS FT. OLI SYKES
Since you like Iron Maiden, you should react to Rime of the Ancient Mariner or Paschendale!
Paschendale 😍😍😍😍😍
.....aaand Mariner!! Agreed, great song to review
One thing I like about Maiden songs is that some are based on historical fact...e.g., The Trooper, Aces High, Alexander the Great & Genghis Khan...To name a FEW!
Iron Maiden always puts lots of substance in their lyrics, be it historical events (this, The Trooper, Aces High, ...), literature (Rime of the Ancient Mariner), mythology (Flight of Icarus, Revelations, Powerslave, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, ...), or vivid themes (Hallowed Be Thy Name, Still Life, ...).
I was 15 when this type of music came out, it is indeed the 1st and original "metal" music, still the best of any type of metal since
@ Steven C - 100% agree! Iron Maiden are the kings of the metal music. What is called metal music roday, is ordinary garbage!
i bought tape in 1982 , short life. :-)
NWOBHM and NWOAHM were the best times to be alive and into metal
about 1 minute in, my phone rang, and my ringtone is "run to the hills". I was a bit confused for a second.
Dio - Rainbow In the Dark
Definitely 2nd any request for any Dio songs :)
Yes, pleaseeee
YES! I also love a light in the black and tarrot woman (from rainbow, but with dio on the vocals)
D00mnoodle / Sergeant Purge yeah both of those are great
Love light in the black.. a great follow up to Stargazer ..
React to Iron Maiden - Rime of the ancient mariner!
Definitely needs to happen
Its way too long man, people will lose interest in it
Ace Alice - if Weaboo can do it, surely Alex can. 🤘
+1 Live after death version pls!
Iron Maiden will be forever and always be one of my all time favorite old school heavy metal bands.
Been listening to iron maiden since I was about 9 I'm 46 it never gets old. To watch people at least 10yrs or more getting it shows just how good they are and what my parents missed out on.
Iron Maiden-Phantom of the opera Next!
Back in 1992 i (a 14 y.o boy) went round this guys house to get a copy of Guns n Roses APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION, he had played it at the local youth club and i thought it was out of this world, he said he'd make a copy for me, anyway as he we talked he said i could have these 3 other cassettes he didn't need anymore, they were all of a band called IRON MAIDEN, those 3 cassettes were: Iron Maiden, Killers & The Number of the Beast. So, on that 1 day i acquired 4 amazing albums, 2 of which i consider the best 2 albums ive ever heard, those 2 being APPETITE for DESTRUCTION & NUMBER OF THE BEAST, 26 years later they are just as good as the 1st time i listened to them, and Run to the Hills is 1 of my all time favorites.
That certainly was a great acquisition. Good fortune smiled on you that day. Good for you!
Iron maiden:
Wasted years

Maiden live is definitely one of the best times and highlights of my life. Hands down.
Iron Maiden is one of the first bands I listened to when I started listening to Metal at the age of 7 (I'm turning 42 in November). I think I was about 9 or 10 when I bought my first Maiden album.
If you want to try some more old school nwbhm, Alex... you should try some Saxon out. Songs like 747, Strangers in the night, Battering Ram, Rock 'n' roll Gipsy, Never Surrender, And the Bands played on, Denim And Leather, Wheels of steel and/or Princess of the Night... and that's just to name a few songs. Keep on rockin bruh. 🤘🤘
All the best from 🇸🇪
You can't be a (true) metal fan and not loving Iron Maiden.
That's a scientific FACT
i watched Iron Maiden at Donnington,
GODDAMN RIGHT!
@@comawhite39 I remember watching them live at Donnington years ago too (1992), best live show I've ever seen. Best of all, my son got to see them live about 25yrs later (2017), and they blew his mind just the same.

Ah, memories. One of my first concert experiences was Iron Maiden headlining at the Monsters of Rock festival in Donnington, 1988. I was 11 years old. One of the benefits of having a mother who really loves this kind of music! (It was actually my second visit to Monsters of Rock - my first one was in 1984 when I was 7 years old!)
Sir , you're lucky
I need Iron Maiden too! Love your Maiden videos, always excited when one comes up on your channel man.
Blood Brothers by Iron Maiden!!
Iron Maiden - When The Wild Wind Blows
My 14 year old son recently started listening to Iron Maiden with me. I just showed him this video and he got a huge kick out of your reaction. This is basically him everytime we listen to Run To The Hills in the car.
I just discovered your channel. I truly love your reactions to hearing the songs for the first time. To me the best Metal song ever written! 🤘🏼
UP THE IRONS!

Fear of the Dark (2001 Rock in Rio) would've been so much cooler song to react, but maybe some day.
That song is one hell of a boring children song. Ei torille!
ahmo2 excuse me?
You´re welcome. No need to apologize.
Iron Maiden resumes :
Run to the Hills
The Prisoner
The Trooper
Rhyme of the ancient Mariner
Aces High
Prowler
Blood Brothers
Ghost of The Navigator
This was the very first video I ever saw on MTV back when MTV first debuted in like 1981 or so. This was when you had only local network channels on tv and "Cable TV" was just being introduced. MTV was one of the first cable channels introduced. A friend of mine whose family had more money than mine subscribed to cable and I saw MTV and this video for the first time at his house. I instantly loved Iron Maiden!
Seventh son of a seventh son!!!!! one of the most epic pieces they have ever written
voting for pachendale and ghost of the navigator as well!
YES YES AND YES! Their long songs are allways the best. Some others i really love as well; empire of the clouds, the red and the black, for the greater good of god, alexander the great, dream of mirrors, dance of death... The list goes on! Up the irons! \m/
EMPIRE OF THE CLOUDES - iron maiden, trust me, its long but worth it
RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER from the concert footage of flight 666 is muchhhhhhhhh better.
..never said it wasn't
My personal all time favorite Iron Maiden song. Thanks for hitting it.
I've been watching your reaction videos to songs that I grew up with in my teenage years (Iron Maiden, Pantera, Megadeth, Metallica etc) and am really enjoying it. Takes me back to when I first heard these songs and I was exactly the same which is why I got into metal/rock. I've also subscribed now as well. Keep 'er lit (as they say in Northern Ireland where I'm from)!
Steve Harris is a beast on the Bass....Up the Irons!
David Stephens: Agreed. Plus, he is one helluva songwriter as well.
I met Steve back in the 80's when they landed in Portland Maine for the Powerslave tour.
I had walked up into town from the Bath Iron Works shipyard in Portland where my ship the USS DEYO (DD989) was in drydock for a refit that was supposed to take just 9 months but wound up taking a year and a half because the ship yard worker's union went on strike halfway through the refit.
Anyway.
But there was a concert arena on the other side of town and I decided to stop at McDonald's for dinner on my way to the arena.
Funny thing was, while I was walking, I noticed two guys on the other side of the street and my brain was like "wait...that sure looks an awful lot like Steve Harris of Iron Maiden. What the heck is he doing walking around Portland?"
The guy with him of course was Steve's security/body guard.
So I landed at McDonalds, and was standing in line waiting for my turn to order and in the line next to mine, there was Steve and his body guard.
I just turned, stuck my hand out, and said "Steve Harris. Nice to meet you. I'm a huge Iron Maiden fan and I'm on my way to the arena for the concert."
Steve shook my hand and was just really nice. Didn't say a whole lot but he seemed very cool. He seemed to like Portland.
And he was a bit shorter than I expected. But that happens a lot.
Rock stars being shorter in real life than they seem to be when you see them on stage.
And no, I didn't ask for his autograph. I choose not to do that.
I decided a long time ago that whenever I am fortunate enough to meet someone famous that I will never ask for their autograph.
Everyone does that to them and I wanted to be the exception to that particular rule.
I just felt then and feel now like, if I get to shake their hand and even just have a semi-normal conversation with them regardless of how short, I will always have those great memories and maybe for even just a moment the famous person will feel some sense of relief that they don't have to feel obligated to sign yet another autograph for yet another autograph hound.
Granted, it means giving up having actual "physical proof" that I'd met the person, but I have never cared about that.
Meeting someone famous is always an honor for me.
If they take even a minute or half a minute to chat with me like a normal human being, for me that's better than an autograph every day of the week.
And I do my best never to hit them up while they're eating a meal or having conversations with friends or family members.
I figure they get that shit all the time, I don't want to be yet another star struck fan slobbering all over them trying to get an autograph while they're trying to have a normal family meal.
But that's me.
@@toddvandell85 that's awesome thanks for sharing I've seen them 4 times in concert and it is one hell of an experience for sure

First song I ever heard from Iron Maiden.Back when MTV used to be a music station.
You hit it right on the head - Maiden is EXACTLY what metal is supposed to sound like!! They are hands-down the best metal band ever!
You're also a metalhead already Alex, not only a hiphop head
I think Alex, will always have a soft spot for Hip Hop but he understands that metal has more passion, intensity and musicianship. Metal has something you can't get with hip hop or any other genre of music and for the most part they don't need to be as offensive lyrically as rap and hip hop. I think with the exception of a few artists, most rap and hip hop music is lazy lyrically. More swearing and offensive lyrics does not make for a better song. And what is with some of the stupid names. What the fuck is a Fetty Wap.
Alex! Another fun time coming up, I swear you are the best " reactionist". Neil Pearts, and Eddy VanHalens deaths have had a very profound effect on me. Thank you for doing what you do. With love, and genuine respect I thank you. Wes Sept
Great reaction video Alex!! One of the best concert experiences I ever had was when I was stationed in Germany, US Army, 1st Armored Division, Ansbach, as an MP, was to see Iron Maiden with my husband.
