Excellent tutorial, how do I reduce the font size and keep everything in proportion. I have ticked the scale with object box on the fx but reducing the font size still makes it lose its appeal.thanks

I don't have access to my computer right now, however one quick tip i can think of right out of my head would be to do a merge visible on the layers panel, which will create a copy of it and then you should be able to resize this new layer. (just keep in mind that this method is a bit destructive: you will need to do a merge visible again if you change the text).
Another option would be to save the gold text only as an .afphoto file and embed this is in a new document (for example by dragging and dropping on the new document). This way i think you should also be able to resize it without loosing its appeal and double clicking will allow you to easily change the text if needed.

:) Most tutorials work on Affinity Designer as long as there are no live filters used (which is missing in Designer)
