Den 1. februar overtog militæret i Myanmar igen kontrollen med landet efter flere års demokratisk proces. Landets ledere, Aung San Suu Kyi og medlemmer af hendes parti bliver tilbageholdt. Militæret og dets generaler påstår, at valget i november 2020, hvor Aung San Suu Kyis parti vandt stort, var fyldt med valgsvindel.
Aung San Suu Kyi har opfordret indbyggerne til at protestere mod militærkuppet og det gør de nu.
Silkeborg Højskole har gennem tiden haft flere elever fra Myanmar og vi har inviteret dem til at fortælle om deres og landet situation lige nu.
I videoen fortæller de lidt om landet historie og give en førstehåndsberetning om hvad der sker lige nu.

On February 1, the military in Myanmar regained control of the country after years of democratic process. The country's leaders, Aung San Suu Kyi and members of her party are being detained. The military and its generals claim that the November 2020 election, in which Aung San Suu Kyi's party won big, was riddled with electoral fraud.
Aung San Suu Kyi has urged residents to protest the military coup and they are doing so now.
Silkeborg Højskole has over time had several students from Myanmar and we have invited them to tell about their and the country's situation right now.
